This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

Made this PC mainly to do some light gaming as well as be able to handle light work tastks I may need to do while at home. Made it with some older parts but still handles everthing I throw at it today. I also didn't want it to be too big so I went with micro ATX.$703.93 -

I primarily wanted my desktop to take up as small a space as possible and found building out of the NR200 case to be very satisfying. 7900 XT plays anything thrown at it - blew through Starfield at max settings. Highly recommend undervolting the GPU to save thermals. A less power hungry CPU would be even better to reduce heat. As much as I like the SFX-L Asus Loki PSU I chose, I recommend an SFX to gain GPU clearance. Highly advise against an ATX PSU as airflow becomes very difficult to manage. I would also recommend a shorter cooler than the Noctua NH-D15 as I had to force the mesh side panel closed.$2,345.89 -

This my first build for me personally, I had been rocking a desktop replacment laptop for the longest time. Mainly use this games with some side recording, 3d model/rendering, video editing. For the most demanding games i play regularly: Squad, Arma, DCS; it stays very coool never get's over 60 on the cpu and gpu.$1,600.85 -

A typical SFF build takes months; this one got done in about a day. Z790 board, 4090 graphics, fast RAM. Most parts from Microcenter, but the 4090 from Best Buy, the only place one can get the FE 4090. Modded the case to fit AIO on top. It's a very tight fit; few more mm space would be good. Microcenter should start selling slim AIO - with radiator less than 1 inch thick. Maybe 20 mm? ROG Strix motherboard Z790-I at $480 is a disappointment. No audio/sound on board (as per Asus design). The provided proprietary Hive hub is quirky and doesn't work, even after spending hours with Asus tech support to try troubleshoot it. Heading to Microcenter to buy a SoundBlaster USB to add sound.$2,439.90 -

I originally built this rig purely for gaming but over the years that I've had, I've been doing more with it such as school work and video editing. I edit using Davinci Resolve 17 and I'm able to to play pretty much any game with this rig but in recent triple A titles like Elden Ring it does have a few hiccups.$743.93 -

Built it in 2022 during the chip shortage~ higher price but I needed to build a editing PC with gaming in mind. It's a mid-range build that can handle 1440p gaming in high-ultra settings and crazy rendering speed whenever I export 4K projects or create proxy files. It may not be ideal for some, may not be top of the line, but, it works well for me. Planning on putting it off the ground when i have more desk space, hence it's above the carpet with a wooden board to add some protection from dust.$1,049.93 -

I build this desktop with the goal in mind to take (almost) all the components from my existing build and assemble them into a mini-itx based system. Of course, to do this I needed a different motherboard so I went from a z690 to a b660. I don't plan to overclock so the features lost from moving away from a z690 motherboard don't really affect me. This particular itx case (NR200P) comes with both tempered glass and vented aluminum panels as options. I chose the vented panel for better temperatures. Gaming performance in titles I play (which right now is Elden Ring) is just as solid as when I have this build on a larger atx form factor.$1,784.92 -

I mainly use this computer for very light gaming, I usually play strategy games like Mindustrry and Bloons with some Team Fortress 2 in the mix. I also do some extremely light video editing in my free time, so that's what the 32 Gigs of ram is for. I need absolute silencer so that's why it's just raw heatsink mass. Kinda a cablemess, but who's gonna look back there? (totally)$1,124.95 -

I got a new PC finally and was able to keep it simple with all black. I personally go for quietness and noise over RGB and loudness (personal opinion). The PC was carefully chosen with my budget being around $1000 ish the only thing that I wish I couldve gotten was the GPU used.$1,492.91
