I built this rig mainly because I wanted a solid gaming setup that could handle anything I throw at it without trouble. It's got an RTX 3080, which means I get great frame rates on basically all games. I'm mostly into FPS games and some open-world adventures. Games like Elden Ring, CP2077, Baldur's Gate 3, and COD Warzone run smooth, even on high settings. Looking ahead, I might bump up the RAM a bit more if I start getting into heavier video editing or 3D modeling. Also, a dual monitor setup is definitely on the cards for a better multitasking experience, especially when I'm using the PC for work purposes. If I had to do it all over again, maybe I'd go for a slightly faster CPU to future-proof it a bit more, but honestly, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.$947.92 -

This PC was built as a specific stand-alone platform for encoding high definition videos and interfacing with a large storage pool NAS. Many of the encoded videos specifically use the Intel Quick Sync feature of the Core i7-13700K CPU. Raw video footage is pulled directly from the NAS, encoded, and re-uploaded (hence the 1TB WD Black SN770 NVME SSD being the only local storage needed). I chose the i7-13700K over the i9 models as the Quick Sync capabilities are identical. Sometimes CPU encoding is done for specific reasons. I find the 13700K adequate for that as well (although the power consumption is notably higher, the AIO keeps things silent). The power supply is quite large and also contributes to near silent operation. Overall, an excellent machine that should provide many years of service!$1,027.90 -

I do a lot of casual gaming, but I enjoy playing with the graphics cranked up most of the time so I chose the parts based on the fact that I'll be using it for everyday use like YouTube, Discord, Twitch and gaming. I do stream but it isn't often, and despite all of the problems with Intel I'm happy to say that so far at least I have been able to keep my rig at stock settings and haven't had any issues since I built the pc over 9 months ago .$2,679.93 -

I am an avid gamer and a novice builder and this is only my second build in 4 years. Everything is running great and is a big upgrade from my last build about 4 years ago. I haven't optimized or tweaked anything yet. RAM is currently only set at 5400 as auto set by BIOs. Everything is stable right out of the box and booted without errors.$2,604.92 -

First attempt at building a PC from the bottom up. Everything went pretty well, however I did have a bit of trouble trying to fit the GPU into the PC case (it was a very slim fit). Despite this, it works great with no issues! I installed Windows 11 Professional on the PC.$1,484.42 -

This is replacing a 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300 that in turn replaced a gaming desktop build from 2014. I typically refresh my builds in 5 year cycles, turning the last piece of hardware into a server. The 2014 desktop is still going strong as a server and the laptop died, so I'm hoping this build lasts another 5 years. The H9 case is beautiful, but not as easy to work with as I'd hoped. There are a lot of parts, and it can be a pain to get the cable bar on and off. Overall, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.$2,654.92 -

I play many open world games like Cyberpunk, Starfield ,Fallout 76, RD2, and Horizon. My 4070ti was struggling giving me the stability and performance that I desired.
