Build Description
This build, simply called "NAS" at home, serves as our powerhouse storage and compute server. Equipped with 8TB of SSD storage, a 750W gold PSU, a 14th Gen Intel i7, and 64GB of RAM, it was designed to be a versatile workhorse. It's more than just a storage solution—it's a complete offsite access server for all our critical files. Additionally, it handles a range of compute-heavy tasks, including running multiple Docker services for our self-hosted websites. The flexibility and power of this machine make it an essential part of our home tech setup, serving needs from media storage to software development environments.
Favorite Feature
My favorite feature of this build is its dual functionality: it's not just a NAS but also a robust server capable of heavy compute tasks. The 14th Gen Intel i7 allows it to handle anything we throw at it, from file storage to managing Docker containers seamlessly, all while keeping everything within reach even when we're offsite.
