It was the last piece missing from my man cave. I wanted a clean build but powerful at the same time. I set the build up with dual 1440p ultrawide 100hz viewsonic monitors and an extra long hdmi to my 75” Samsung tv that is connected to my surround system via arc to the marantz receiver. This setup allows me to game at my desk or kick back on the couch with a controller. I also got a oculus quest with oculus link to play beat saber and Half Life Alyx!! I chose a EVGA 2080ti FTW3 ultra Oc to power all the monitors and TVs. I have made so many trips to microcenter during the building process I have become a regular and familiar with most of the associates at the St David’s location, btw they all rock! The complete specs are below: CPU: Ryzen 3600x Cooler: wraith prism GPU: evga 2080ti ftw3 ultra Oc RAM: trident z neo 3600 cl 16, 32gb Storage: nvme pcie 4.0 1tb, nvme pcie 3.0 1tb, seagate hdd 3tb 7200 Case: NZXT h710i VR: oculus quest connected via oculus link Monitors: 2x Viewsonic xg350r-c 1440p ultrawide, Samsung 75” 4K 7series Sound system: marantz 6008 receiver, dual mono block amps for front towers. Polk audio ls90 speakers with ls70 surrounds

He was given a budget of $5,000 and he was able to use the brand new Intel 9900KS processor. Linus decided to use the Asus TUF Gaming GT501 case with Corsair RGB fans. He built a very powerful PC including 2 Nvidia RTX 2080 TI graphics cards. Linus put this system together in our workshop and decided he wanted to sell it. With limited time left in the day, he priced this $5,000 PC at small discount for $20! The lucky customer who first noticed this PC was purchasing it as a birthday gift for her brother. Unfortunately Linus was not able to accept credit card payment at his cardboard stand, so he knocked another $5 off the price. With $15 cash in hand, he headed to Carl's Jr. after a successful, hard day of work! Thanks so much to Linus for coming out and filming in our store. We had a blast and can't wait for the next time you're in town! To see the full video visit Linus' channel here: https://youtu.be/5rwYjRzLHHI

I built this PC setup because I've never went on a Vacation in the 36 years I've worked. Never took days off besides sick days. So all the money was to treat myself. I bought a bunch of unnecessary things, in a crazy miss-matched setup. I mainly play games, but I also do work on Stable-Diffusion with AI generation. I love setting up virtual machines and trying new things. Here is a link to the actual setup in full: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/StabbyMeowkins/saved/fZBGJx Little bit behind the parts and how I got them for those prices. Anything that was normally bought at normal prices/random low-discount prices won't be mentioned. Mind the cable management, I can't be bothered and there is just too much going on in life to spend a full day getting it done. I will do it eventually, though! 5900x: Friend bought this at Microcenter, held unto it for six months and never used it. Sold it to me for $180.00. Kraken AIO: Won it at a Bingo tournament that only costed me $15 to enter! Motherboard: Bought a combo deal for $1600ish. Friend got the 3080ti, I got the motherboard, we sold the rest to basically make him upgrade from a 3070 to a 3080ti for $150, and I got the motherboard for a value of $250.00 Sold his 3070 to make up the difference. 2TB 2.5" Drive: Some random craigslist drive. Just have a bunch of emulation stuff on there. 1TB SSD: Price error at Staples, what a steal!(It was $50 odd dollars. Not sure the exact amount. QN332 2TB QLC Drive(Games!) Black Friday deal. This was added this week. Had this PC 6+ Months. Two 14TB WD Easystore Drives. Rakuten Cash-back. Discount from HDD turn in that Best Buy used to have. Cash-back from Paypal Business debt card. Lucky! Phanteks Case: Won a $100 gift card online, so got the case for very little. Monitors: I use the Alienware AW2518HF for all my FPS games like APEX Legends, League of Legends and games like Muse Dash. The AOC 49" Ultrawide is for watching videos on Youtube while I am cleaning the room, or doing server work and/or Python. I got this for $400 when a site was selling them for that price at random times. I was lucky to get one. I bought a monitor arm for it because my space constraints means a small desk..arm gives me the space I need. LG C1 48" OLED TV: Obviously all my nice games I enjoy the most go on here. I love Warframe, Dead by Daylight and a few others like Monster Hunter Rise. Minecraft with the SEUS Shader Mod is just INSANE on here too. It is so beautiful. Had to buy a good cable, that was also 15 feet long. Since the space I am in is small, I needed it to wrap around the room to get to the TV. Klipsch I picked up (almost) brand new at a Pawn Shop. They actually sound really good. I didn't want to get it at first, but a friend convinced me. Said the $75 was worth the price at the time. The nYko Charing base was given to me for free by a friend that also sold me two brand new PS4 controllers for $30 each. He had them because he tends to buy up a bunch of stuff when they go on sale/clearance-so he has had them for a while and sold to me when I was looking for some controllers for some of my games. The SATA Port hub isn't really needed. I just had it laying around so I threw it in the build. Won't be able to resell it, might as well use it, even though its borderline useless. Same with the Docking bay. It is just there to throw random data on random old drives I have for storage. Sorry for all the babbling. I just love my PC, it looks nice, and its something I can enjoy since I don't get to enjoy things too much. I love Anime, and the OLED is really nice for that, and I just love tech in general. My Mother and Father don't understand it much but turning their homes into automation has been fun also.

I had been using a 2012 iMac and wanted to build a PC for gaming, Blender, streaming, and photo and video editing. This was my first PC and first custom water loop. Love how it has come out! There is one last part that still needs to be completed… The clear tube is a place holder for a future hardline that matches the others. An eye for details will recognize the Apple M1 Mac Mini. The Thermaltake Core P3 case was perfectly made to fit the Mac underneath. So one PC and one Mac for all my needs!

The Chimera is a powerhouse machine designed to be both an aesthetic statement as well as fully functional for streaming whatever games I want to stream. It was given the name Chimera as a suggestion from a viewer that was watching me upgrade the cooling loop on Twitch. The original name of this system was the Kraken. For me monsters and demons are part of my theme thus every one of my personal builds will be named after some sort of "dark" creature. This is currently version 2.0 of this build as I have learned and tried new things. I started out with a kit that I got from Alphacool with a Laing DDC pump and single 360x30mm radiator that I had expanded to two of as well as the Helix reservoir and the V2 DPP 755. Version 1.5 as described is what I had been running for my cooling for the last year. I decided that since I had to take everything apart for the one year cleaning event that I might as well take the opportunity to go ahead and upgrade the loop as a whole. There was a leak that occurred during my first build iteration that caused the RGB lighting in the GPU block to short out, which is something that is getting fixed at the beginning of April. I'm also taking that opportunity to drain the loop and make the loop order a little more efficient. This has been my first liquid cooling loop, and I chose this particular case to build into because of the unboxing video JayzTwoCents did on it. One of the biggest issues I had when it came to the upgrades I've done on the loop thus far was the pressure of the loop itself. In one iteration I considered I was going to have an Eisball pump/res combo but that ended up getting scratched. While I love everything about this build once I got everything working and without any leaking I realized a few things I could have, and will be doing differently as I already have the parts needed on order. First some extra 90º fittings, one of which will be getting placed on the bottom of the reservoir with a 10mm extension. From there I'm going to take the quick disconnect from the bottom radiator and move it to the pump with the black top's out port with a 90º fitting while taking another 90º fitting and putting it on the acrylic top pump with a direct downflow into the bottom radiator. I realized this should have been done solely for the purpose of being able to remove the bottom and front rads with the pumps and reservoir still attached without having to drain either one after taking a good long hard look at the loop order. Along with replacing the RGB strip in my GPU block I will be replacing the stock Red Devil backplate with one made by Alphacool and adding a 45º fitting on the end of the port that it fills the top radiator thru allowing a shorter run there as well. I'm switching the in/out ports on the back radiator and rerouting the connection between the two radiators to go around the quick disconnect on the reservoir while also adding a final quick disconnect to the front radiator allowing both radiators to be removed without having to drain the loop, if need be. The backplate replacement is only to help clean things up in the look. Other little additions are the 90º 24-pin ATX and two 8-pin 180º PCI-E power adapters and the LinkUp PCI-E Gen 4 riser cable. The first few photos are the original layout I attempted a year ago with the kit I bought from Alphacool, followed by the final layout once I got the Helix res and D5 pump. The third photo is of an iteration I had considered using the Alphacool Eisball pump/res combo that ended up not working out. All of the rest of the photos are of the build as it currently sits in my office.

It was the days of the 386 and 486s had just come on the market. The PC I took to college was a 386 DX40 with the extra math coprocessor, 4MB of RAM and a 40MB hard drive. However, as I got older, I guess I got lazy and succumbed to the prebuilts, buying a mix of Dells, Gateways and even an Apple or two. Fast forward 25 years and my decade old PC was struggling to keep up, so I decided it was time to get a new one. Since my my pre-teen daughter is taking an interest in technology and digital art, I wanted to build a PC with her so she can start learning all the components' names and functions. Who knows, maybe one day she'll want to build one of her own. It all went together within an afternoon and should be easy to maintain thanks to the case design and layout. It's not a gamer, show piece but it will plow through all the Adobe and animation applications I can throw at it. I'm not a gamer, so this was spec'ed more for creativity, rendering and to help support my hobby as a photographer. The benchmarks were done right after installing the OS, with no overclocking or tweaking of any kind. While the machine is up and running, the space towards the front where many people mount a vertical 360 radiator is empty, so I'm toying with the idea of making something with my 3D printer and a sheet of acrylic to give it a little personalized flare. Feel free to comment below if you have any ideas on what I could do there.... Hans Solo in Carbonite??!?!

I built this rig because I have a passion for building Pcs and wanted to take advantage of downtime during the pandemic as I figured if not now then when? It had been about 11 years since I built a rig for myself though I have built a few for others over that period of time. Coming from a 1st Gen Sandybridge 2700K (which still works perfectly might I add.) This thing is pure beast, my only regret is that I didn't build a Ryzen Threadripper. I build mobile apps, websites and graphic design, also do a little music production. In this build I have a: Ryzen 9 5950x recently upgraded from 3900x Asrock Taichi x570 MB Asrock 5700xt tiachi 64GB x Gskill trident ram @ 3600mhz 3x 980 PRO PCIE 4.0 NVME 1x team group ssd 6x Thermaltake pure rgb fans 2x 360mm radiators Phantek Evolv X with custom front panel Cable mods cable extensions Custom loop Would like to upgrade graphic card to 6900xt or 3090. In hindsight would have went with a different case I also play Ghost Recon in my spare time, and this system run amazingly.
