I built this PC mostly for home office use since I already have a gaming PC. I wanted this to be quiet and sleek, but also provide as much performance as possible while staying under $1500. To cut costs, I omitted RGB lights since those usually cost a premium. So far it's been handling everything I need it for - Photoshop, Illustrator, Fusion 360, and Blender.$1,489.92 -

This is the pc I had after High School I had been saving for a while and then I used grad money to finish the rest. I intended for this PC to be able to handle most of what I throw at it I use things like blender - for 3d modeling / animation / and rigging , OBS for any recording I do, and davinci resolve for video editing. I do also use this pc for my online school work at the moment and its been doing just fine in all these regards. and when the 50 series nvidia GPUs come out I might consider upgrading but I'll see with its pricing for me I do plan on changing the Case and CPU cooler soon though$1,208.92 -

As a kid, I always wanted to have a gaming pc of my own, where I could crush any game I wanted and push the limits of performance. My build started in 2017, and I saved every penny I could find to afford it. It's carried me throughout the years to today, with some upgrades of course. Originally, the build consisted of an Intel Core i5-7600K, MSI Z270 Gaming M7, ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC, Samsung 850 PRO, and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB. I play indie games like Lethal Company and Undertale, and big games like Battlefield 2042, Mortal Kombat 1, Five Nights at Freddy's, and VRChat. Throughout the time I spent building my pc, I wish I had purchased the parts at once instead of incrementally buying a part when it was possible. I could've gotten newer hardware had I done the former. In the future, I definitely would like to get a 2TB NVME SSD to replace my Seagate hard drive, and upgrade to 32GB of DDR4 ram. I also foresee a switch to the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor line.$2,646.49 -

The total build cost is around $1600. My budget didn't allow me to overspend on GPU, so I got the 4060 ti. I expect to upgrade it later this December when 5000 series graphics card releases and I will have the money by then to afford it. Meanwhile, this 4060 ti isn't doing so badly. It can handle most games in 1440p and maintain 100FPS without a problem.$1,574.94 -

I play mostly single-player games like Omori, Undertale, Roblox, and Honkai Star Rail. Sometimes I also play multiplayer games like Valorant and Fortnite. My brother helped me build the PC and it has been nice so far. For future upgrades, I think I might have to get more storage because I only have 1 TB right now. I should probably delete some games like GTA. For things I wish I did differently, I wish I waited to build the computer because I bought the parts during the pandemic/chip shortage so the GPU especially was very overpriced.$1,469.96 -

Just my daily machine, gaming in 4k, perusing the internet, etc. It gets by playing in 4k but need an upgrade at somepoint to get up to 120hz (fps). I try to shoot for at least 60fps which most games can run med-ultra. Fallout 4, Witcher3, RDR2 run great. MSFS2020 runs about 40fps on high in 4k. As you can see I'm not into RGB and AIOs, all I'm after is performance. Upgrading to a 7800x3d, new Mobo, 4080, m.2 5.0 drive when prices come down.$1,882.91 -

Three years ago, when COVID first started, A friend helped me build a brand new (at the time) gaming computer. Little did I know how absolutely awful he was, in hardware, and in personality. When he was directing me, a first time builder, he told me that the motherboard was actually dead on arrival. Saying little more than a simple "whomp whomp" we find ourselves three years later. Another friend, who is good at hardware and a genuinely great person decided to take a look at the rig. He then enlightened me that the motherboard does indeed work, and that the first friend's diagnosis was incorrect. The truth being the power switch was not plugged in. Since then, I have moved and the case was dinged up. I am hoping to buy a new case with the coupon. Thank you for your time. :D$954.91 -

I built this because I wanted a good match for a Asus 27" monitor that I love. It's only 1080p but goes up to 144hz refresh rate. The game I'm primarily still playing Overwatch (2, even though 1 was better). I also realized that it was a good time to buy because the prices of the SSD storage and DDR4 ram were much lower than when I looked at them 6-9 months ago. I first tried using the Intel cooler that came in the box with the 13400 cpu. Ultimately, this cooler was too loud (at startup especially) so I scrapped it and put a larger air cooler that is marketed as extremely quiet. Now I think the loudest fans in the system are the two fans on my video card. And that's okay because those only run during gaming sessions.$927.93 -

First of all. let me make it clear that this build is not done according to my tastes and preferences. At all. However, I have a friend who is completely enamored with RGB components and so this otherwise-basic build was assembled according to what he wanted. The 6600xt is a midrange card that runs 1080p and occasionally 1440p games like Overwatch 2. Air cooling (and not a liquid AIO unit) was chosen for the cpu so that my friend wouldn't have to worry about an element of an AIO failing in future years of use.$884.92 -

She used to game on an gaming laptop, and she wanted something that doesn't "take-off" every time she plays a game, so I decided to build her a gaming PC. I chose to go with all white aesthetic theme, so it blends in with her room. She mostly just play sons of the forest, phasmophobia or martha is dead and other non-graphic intensive games, so I got her a rx6650xt GPU. It has enough horse power to handle these games and more at 1080p ultra graphic setting. The total cost of this build comes around $1000. She was very happy with this build.$989.95 -

It was time for me to update or "rebuild" the desktop pc I have been using as a workstation in my home-based small business. It does get occasional gaming use as well, so that's the reasoning behind the choice of a midrange card. I know that the 7600 isn't a powerhouse but it lets me get established on the new am5 socket. Down the road, I play to upgrade to a future model of cpu with a higher thread count for even better performance in workstation applications. This will probably be one of the new "3D" architecture Ryzen cpu's.$954.96 -
