I built this setup back in early 2018 and it is definitely due for some upgrades. I built it originally as the family computer, but since then it has mainly become a gaming computer for light game titles. I plan to use the 25 dollar discount to hopefully bring down the price of a few upgrades such as a new cpu and gpu. All of the parts in the build were bought from microcenter, however i cannot find many of the parts in the catalog since it is so old, so i have added custom parts to this list.$534.96 -

So I thought ryzen 5 3600 + 16gb ram would be sufficient enough, and I also spent a considerable amount of budget to buy a good 500gb SSD, and a nice set of game keyboards & mouse. Also, I occasionally enjoy games that do not require high quality graphics (minecraft, some steam games, etc), so I chose radeon rx 570 for my video cards. I also need to run some research program like matlab, mathematica, and they run totally fine. For bad part, It would have been better if I chose smaller case. My case seems too big and heavy. The other bad part, when I turn the power on, there is a 5 second lag until motherboard starts to operate. I'm not sure about this issue, but it doesn't bug me too much because once turned on, it is fast enough.$716.91 -

I made it for gaming at the same time I made it for school and I always used a laptop so this was a huge upgrade for me, I had to get all of the money on my own to build this PC. My first build was i7-6700 (Gigabit Motherboard - don't remember which one) with 250GB SSD and 1TB Hard Drive (7200 RPM). Video Card was an ASUS Nvidia GT745 in a Corsair Medium Tower. Unfortunately, my 1TB hard drive was down to 30 GB when I got back from a trip to Germany and Windows 7 support was done. I bought a 4TB Hard drive and 500 GB SSD and was going to replace the drives in the Intel build when I decided to build a new computer instead to avoid losing the other data. Went to Microcenter in Fairfax VA, and he suggested a AMD Ryzen 7 instead of Intel i7. Price point - very good. Then he sold me the case- Lian Li LiCool II. REALLY good move I later learned. Brought home the gear and put it aside until I had time to build it. Well...COVID closed everything down and I decided to build it to get my mind being stuck in my house. Loved it. It was a great little build, and I was able to upload my photos and purge my old drives. I also updated the First build with the same 500GB SSD and 4TB Hard Drive so I got the old computer working well in Windows 10. My only "complaint": my ASUS Nvidia GT1030 was just underpowered. I was only able to use two monitors and I wanted a three-monitor option. I was not in a hurry to buy a new one, but I was looking for video cards that could handle three or four monitors. A few months later, I watched a video from JayzTwoCents ("Is NVIDIA even trying anymore" - April 25, 2019) when he was reviewing the GT1650. For some reason hecompared it to an PowerColor AMD RX570 Radeon Red Devil 4GDDR. Reason: it was CHEAPER than the GT1650. When I saw the RX570 price ($139.99 vs $80 for the GT1030), my jaw dropped to the ground. When I checked Microcenter, they had that very card on sale for $139.99. Bought it online on the spot and picked it up that day. I replaced the GT1030 and LOVE the new card. I don't even play games! Ever since then, hes been holding up really good. I have built this PC for my brother and really enjoyed it. This machine is pretty capable of 1080p gaming or really high 720p. My brother uses Black Widow to play games such as Minecraft, Ark, Sims 4 and Subnautica. He got this fairly budget PC for his Birthday because he used to play on an All in One Lenovo computer and the upgrade for him PC vise was urgent. He is very happy to have this PC which he can play games on.$775.92 -

CPU is overkill for this GPU but the Microcenter store here is limited right now so this is it. Tried to keep it cheap as possible with GTA V ~60 FPS as the bar. 1 SSD for the OS and Movies and the second one for games so that if i have to reinstall the OS I won't have to reinstall every single game. I'll be buying this setup this week probably.$789.89
