I built this pc to do some high resolution 1080p gaming while also being able to run some demanding programs. I have a XFX swft 6650 xt and a ryzen 5 5600. i Paired it with a b550 tomahawk motherboard and a cooler master 600w bronze power supply.in hindsight i should have opted for a modular power supply and and a better of a cpu to future proof, but as far as price to performance im happy.

However, as we all naturally do, I wanted to upgrade it the more I go. I recently purchased the Radeon 6650xt (upgrading from a 1060) so I could run newer games at higher resolutions while getting stable frames. I run games like COD, Smite, Fortnite, etc. Mainly got the graphics card to run Hogwarts though. :) I started from a budget case, Montech X1, to the Lian Li O11 Air Mini (amazing case), and now the Thermaltake P3. I also upgraded a few other things like my PSU (from 500w to 750w), RAM (from 3200 to 3600), and the stock cooler to an UpHere one (it actually cools pretty decently, it allowed me to overclock to 4.15 from 3.6). I am planning on upgrading the CPU and Motherboard.

I used to be a big gamer back in the 90's when Counterstrike, Quake III Arena and lan parties were a thing. I used to work for the old Comp USA in FL in the upgrades dept. and I was a big NFS fan also back in the days. As I got older I faded away from PC's and technology. A few years back I ended getting my dream PC (Alienware Area-51 R5) and after a few years I ended getting a MSI 6900XT gaming Z trio and my R5 was having some issues with it and Alienware was not doing anymore bios updates for the Area-51. I was frustrated as I spent so much money on this video card and was not able really see what its full potential was. Little by little I had build my dream gaming room setup and I was lacking a PC to showcase. I started to reaserch PC components and also started watching youtube videos on CPU's, GPU's, benchmarks, memory, motherboards and started to get back into things and catch up with PC technology. I said to myself " I used to build PC's back in the days and I used to help people build PC's" . I took my time and decided I wanted something different so I decided to build a AMD system as I already had the 6900XT video card and I based my build around that. One day I went to Microcenter and met Andy Robertson and I told him what I was planninng and what I had in mind and after almost 2 hours of asking questions and showing me the differences and educating me he gave me his insights on some components and helped me pick up everything down to the case and I could not be happier. I recycled some componets I had aready bought to upgrade my Alienware Area-51 R5 and combined everything with the new build. A few more trips to Microcenter and the amazing help that Andy provided and also the patience he had with me while I was showing him pictures of my gaming room and what I had already had setup he gave me more suggestions and the build was finally complete. I cannot thank Andy enough for his patiance and time and for helping me build such an amazing PC.

I like to build My PC every 5-6 Years , been building my own PCs for almost 20 years now. My PCs are mostly spec for Gaming and entertainment , Though I recently got in to 3d Modeling. With 3D modeling my PC need to shift focus towards having more core, and 12 core would be beneficial.

This girl liked would stream on twitch (she's now my GF) and we became friends very quickly. Eventually, I wanted a pc to play with her so that's what i did. Coming from an Xbox one was an interesting experience. When I first built this it looked a lot different; in fact, the only original parts in my pc are the CPU, CPU watercooler, and motherboard. Ever since I've built mine I built many friends' PCs as well. A total of 4 not including mine I have built. I do it for free not only because they are my friends but because I enjoy every second of building computers. I would love to win so I can upgrade my water cooler to a custom water-cooled CPU/GPU to finish my build but as you know it costs very much. In regards to use, its mainly for gaming, like for example, I play valorant, rainbow six, and many single-player story games. I am very happy with what I accomplished and plan to always keep my pc up to date and upgrade when i need to!!! Thank you to those who took the time to read this, I really did try to keep this short and sweet.

Prebuilt options near specs I required were $500-$1000 more than budget allowed. I’m fairly tech savvy so decided to give custom pc building a go. After a solid month of research and Microcenter’s pc builder I pulled the trigger. The X570 motherboard has plenty of room for expansion and upgrades. Combined with AMD chip allows utilization of gen 4 M.2. Pcie slots allow for future graphics card upgrades. 850w power supply leaves plenty of headroom for expansion and upgrades. In order to stay in budget I sacrificed slightly on graphics card. Won’t effect functionality until switching to 2020 software upgrade later in 2021. Also saved on ram and case. Pretty pleased with case airflow. Need to swap fans to push air thru radiator but case is a pain and don’t want to remove cooler from cpu again. Rewired entire build after a couple weeks. Plenty of room and openings to secure groups based on type or location of wire origin. Ram’s ok. Will upgrade to 32g cards eventually and move to lower latency. When said and done I have a solid workhorse that will carry me thru several future upgrades and remain software capable for several years. Took one nerve racking night and an afternoon to assemble. The education of hands on assembly and initial setup was worth the cost to play. Didn’t fry anything!
