I have always been a gamer, ever since i first picked up an N64 controller. Ever since then i have played every single console that has come out to this date. But one in particular that i wasn't able to obtain was a PC powerful enough to handle major games. This year was finally the year. I decide go hard, or go home and bought only quality pieces. I wanted a Pc that could handle games that are to come out for the next 10 years. I don't want to have to spend another dollar on a console that is not at peek performance, because they want to be able to up sale me in the future. Well no thank you, I just up sold myself And now I am in love.

My whole group of friends all played computer games and constantly egged me on to get a pc. Unfortunately i did not have money and a job as I was still finishing high school. Soon as I finished I got a job at Target and started putting in the hours to finally get my pc. My build originally started simple with a ryzen 3 2200g, b450 motherboard, 500gb ssd, and a ryzen rx 480 red devil. I wanted to upgrade in the future but knew Target was not going to cut it because high end pc parts are a pretty penny. So I went to trade school and now im an electrician trainee making decent money. After a long job with a total house remodel I happened to be passing micro center on my way home. I was tired but thought "hey why not check it out and maybe treat myself for the hard work" plus I had just gotten a rather large check haha. A friendly employee helped me out and I ended up walking out with pretty much an entire new build worth of upgrades.

I built Ernie because my old PC could not handle everything I wanted to do. I know, sounds pretty generic. This was a huge build for me. I have lived my whole life using low end, or very old hand-me-down parts. I had built a brand new PC before but it was entry-level at best, and I was not smart and favored looks over performance. I learned my lesson and buckled down and saved every penny one summer. I was going to spare no expense. RGB and looks were low on the list, but still very important. I was going for a Storm Trooper theme PC, and I think that turned out. I wanted the maximum performance possible, fast storage, and lots of it. The latest graphics and features and the RTX 2080 Super from EVGA fit the bill nicely. I wanted the CPU to have at least 8 Cores, so it would excel at recording and streaming. I was originally looking for the PC O-11 Dynamic, but it required fans and water cooling looks sick in that case, but I don't plan to do a custom loop, anytime soon. The Fractal Design Meshify C, it has good thermals and even better looks. It is pretty small for an ATX chassis. The biggest reason I built Ernie, was so I could start doing Youtube, and Streaming. My old PC could not handle gaming and recording at the same time, and struggled to run most games at 1440p/60FPS. I am looking to upgrade my monitor to an LG UltraGear IPS 144hz QHD Monitor. I also am looking to upgrade the AMD Stock Cooler to a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, because the stock cooler is super loud. I need to add more fans to further improve thermals, I am looking at some Corsair HD120's those look nice and perform well. If you read this far, Thank You, and maybe subscribe to my new YT Channel, QuackoOperator, I have already posted a video about this PC and I hope to continue to grow the channel and make some gaming content in the future. I want to make a series on F1 2020, maybe some Nascar Heat 5, and other racing games and shooter games such as COD: MW/Warzone.

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).

I bought all of the parts in the Westmost Microcenter. I built the PC mainly for gaming, and day to day use. Some examples of games I play are CS:GO, City Skylines, Warzone, and GTA. I feel like gaming really gives you a chance to connect with people who have the same hobbies and interests as you. Some upgrades I plan on doing in the future are some custom cables to go with my color scheme (Ones in my case right now were taken from another build), Vertical GPU Bracket, and probably upgrading components as they get outdated.

I built this computer for gaming and running virtual machines for work/study (I'm in Cyber Security studying forensics). I wanted something that could do it all, so when the wife set me loose with the credit card for my birthday and said "Build what you want" I built this beast (though I will say I was going to go with the MEG or Ace, but thanks to the current apocalypse situation the only thing in stock was the Godlike). I don't currently have much in the way of upgrades planned for this system, but I will likely upgrade the video card once I see what this next generation has to offer from intel and amd. I currently I play Wow, Battlefield, Just Cause 4, Farcry 5, TombRaider, and I pop on Apex Legends and Fortnite from time to time. I wasn't able to list a few of my parts on the builder so here's the extras: Sabent Rocket 2TB NVME Gen4 Deepcool's Castle cooler 4 Noctua black fans Conductonaut thermal compound

The sole purpose was for video editing and music creation. Secondly was to play some light gaming and virtual lab testing system. I am a Musician/IT technician, and music/video is a big part of what I do. So, I needed something that could handle both, and do other things in the process without having to choose weather to close programs because the components are lacking. I use Adobe premiere, photoshop, aftereffects, media encoder, and DaVinci Resolve for video creation and editing. For music I use Pro Tools and Reason. For games I do mostly racing and sports. For my virtual system I use VMware for my test labs for work. With all that said, building something powerful, stable and can handle everything is crucial. I have always used intel for my pass builds but I decided to take a jump to AMD for the first time and must its been great. Went with the Ryzen 3950x and it just powers through everything. Check out the parts I used, some might be overkill but why not lol. I do not like ordering things online and having to wait. So, Microcenter was just the best place to get all the parts I needed to create this build. Just want to say thank you and for making my dream possible.

However, I also love to game. There is nothing that I have thrown at this build that it couldn't handle! I am running AMD Ryzen 9 and a MSI 2080 super graphics card. This is my main computer, I use it pretty much every day - almost exclusively for playing games. Everything from Runescape to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and hopefully Cyberpunk. This was the first computer I built that had built in RGB and tempered glass side panels. So I wanted to do something special to show off. I bought some 3M vinyl and tried my hand at wrapping some panels in the case. For my first time every using vinyl wrap, I think it turned out okay! The back cable mgmt panels were a little dicey - mostly because of their size and curvature, but they pass the 6ft test. The build was originally completed in mid-summer of 2019, and then I upgraded the GPU and RAM. Since then, I've upgraded the fans all around (Noctua NF A14s) and added some extra storage. As for future plans... I currently have a closet full of custom watercooling parts waiting to go into the build. I'm just waiting until NVIDIA releases their 30 series cards to pick up a 3080 TI and a custom water block.

I built this PC after years of peer pressure from all of my friends and quite honestly I'm so glad I did. I wouldn't call myself the biggest gamer but I've begun to realize that gaming on PC is on a whole other level.
