My initial motivation for building this PC two years ago was the anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I had been playing other simulators for many years before then and wanted an upgrade for the new intense game. I've been wanting an upgrade from my Dell Optiplex retrofitted with a GTX 1050 Ti for a while, but this pushed me to actually go ahead and do it. I still play Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day, but most of my time on this machine has shifted to software engineering and, incidentally, developing addons for the simulator. I am a computer science student and use this computer to compile Rust libraries, run simulations in Python, and develop websites. A year after getting this computer, I replaced the stock heat sink on my RTX 2080 Super with an NZXT Kraken, and it was totally worth it as I haven't had any problems with thermals since then and the computer is pretty darn quiet. The only upgrade that I see myself making in the foreseeable future is a kit of custom white cables along with a modular PSU to replace the horrendous ketchup and mustard powering the rig.$1,732.91 -

Hello, this is the Water Hashira, chose his name due to this being my first ever attempt at water cooling and I'm a fan of Demon Slayer. The main reason for my build was to upgrade from my prebuild Ailenware that's been doing right by me for so many years. The second reason, after watching so many Youtube videos with hard tube water cooled builds, the urge to give it a shot myself grew into what you see today. This was my first ever attempt at a water cooled, hard tubed build, and it was challenging and frustrating sometimes. Oh it was so satisfying seeing the leak test pass, and filling the loop. I mainly game on my PC, while also using it to complete school work and other tech labs to improve skills. My main games right now are League of Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, Spellbreak, and Overwatch. I also stream on twitch from time to time, twitch.com/handsomemumbler, if anyone ever wanted to check out some ok gameplay and chat. In hindsight, and anyone else thinking of giving water cooling a shot use my mistake for your gain, I would of only leak tested with air and not coolant or water. I was not aware of an air leak tester at first and trust me when I say my heart was in my stomach during my first leak test. Use an air tester!$2,169.91 -

I'm actually submitting this build while my girlfriend is laying on the hospital bed in front of me having her first contractions going into labor. This is one of the main reasons The Kraken was built. I wanted to have a quick home PC that would able to handle major video edits for our daughter and family growing up. I also enjoy playing games from time to time and if you aren't on max settings, well you aren't playing it right! Computers and gaming are my passion. This year I finally got my wife into PC gaming. This setup is a His/Her setup to reflect each of our personalities, favorite colors, and design language. It celebrates our individuality while also bringing us together. I will do a separate submission highlighting HER rig. Our Main Game Currently: Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I am working on getting her into RPG games like Diablo III, & The Witcher, as well as strategy games like the Total War Series. The goal of my rig was to get everything to match and sync. Everything in my setup is Razer themed, and ALL my lighting syncs through Synapse. I went with AMD for the first time in 15 years because the Ryzen chips are trouncing anything Intel has for most tasks. I just got my Philips Hue Hub and plan on either getting play bars, or their light strip for my desk lighting as that will also sync with Synapse.$2,832.37 -

Thanks to Nvidia's GameStream and the Awesome guys at moonlight. I'm able to stream from the ITX Rig to phone, laptops, & TVs via the moonlight app. Streaming Project Cars 2, TitanFall2, GTA 5, StarWars Battlefront II, Fallout 4, Destiny 2 over Ethernet or WIFI, I'm usually either 2k@144p or 4K@60p, Ultra settings. Also, the typical Bitrate of the stream over WIFI is usually 100 Mbits/s. Next up, will compare raw performance between my main computer (Macbook Pro with eGPU) vs ITX Rig. More future projects to come. Few Lessons learned: 1) Distilled Water......🙌🏾. So doing custom loops you learned quickly it's better to be safe and use non-conductive water. Saved me many times. 2) Fans Step Up and Step Down...Please set this option.....it helps soo much to stabilize temperatures. With this option set to 0, temperatures would never stay consistent on idle. 😔 3) Graphite Thermal Pad is good enough. Some of the best paste used: MX2, MX4, IC Diamond, Noctua are all great choices. Graphite helps to keep it clean, no paste mess. 🙄 4) Rollercoaster relationship with water cooling. Love to tinker, So pulling stock cooler from PCD, and installing water block was awsome....👏🏾. Getting all the air pockets out of the system sucks. And pouring water over electronics and seeing a drop of water anywhere is scary 😳😓. 5) Using water temperature sensors to relay temps to the motherboard. This allows me to set the fan controls for the GPU. Future Upgrades: 3950X or 3900XT, Waiting on the new AMD APUs, Quick disconnects, External Water Flow Sensor.$1,314.96 -

I use the build for gaming and causal streaming on Twitch. This started out as a Intel Alienware pre-built in 2013 and slowly evolved into the custom Ryzen build it is today. In 2013 it was my first introduction to PC gaming and throughout the years of swapping out parts I'm now comfortable building custom PCs for family and friends. Future for this build would be a different case to support a bottom 360 radiator and to fit the GPU water block horizontally. Also, venture into hard tubing instead of the soft.$2,032.93 -

At first I was going to get an AIO and then decided to go the custom loop route, I will be adding another radiator and liquid cooled GPU when the new Nvidia cards launch. There were multiple reasons why I went forward with building this when I did – one of them being for remote working purposes as I am a Graphic Designer full-time for a company in New York City. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t have streaming and playing video games on the list of reasons why also! Part of me wishes I went with the EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Ultra GPU rather than my 2080 Super but I’m not complaining. I know I’ll eventually upgrade to a dual SLI at one point or another but with that, I’ll probably need a bigger computer case and a higher wattage power supply. Also going to get another M.2 SSD for my motherboard since two are compatible. I stream a variety of games Part-Time on Facebook and love interacting with new gamers in the chat!$3,231.85 -

Ever since then i have played every single console that has come out to this date. But one in particular that i wasn't able to obtain was a PC powerful enough to handle major games. This year was finally the year. I decide go hard, or go home and bought only quality pieces. I wanted a Pc that could handle games that are to come out for the next 10 years. My whole group of friends all played computer games and constantly egged me on to get a pc. Unfortunately i did not have money and a job as I was still finishing high school. Soon as I finished I got a job at Target and started putting in the hours to finally get my pc. My build originally started simple with a ryzen 3 2200g, b450 motherboard, 500gb ssd, and a ryzen rx 480 red devil. I wanted to upgrade in the future but knew Target was not going to cut it because high end pc parts are a pretty penny. So I went to trade school and now im an electrician trainee making decent money. After a long job with a total house remodel I happened to be passing micro center on my way home. I was tired but thought "hey why not check it out and maybe treat myself for the hard work" plus I had just gotten a rather large check haha. A friendly employee helped me out and I ended up walking out with pretty much an entire new build worth of upgrades.$1,672.91 -

I built Ernie because my old PC could not handle everything I wanted to do. I know, sounds pretty generic. This was a huge build for me. I have lived my whole life using low end, or very old hand-me-down parts. I had built a brand new PC before but it was entry-level at best, and I was not smart and favored looks over performance. I learned my lesson and buckled down and saved every penny one summer. I was going to spare no expense. RGB and looks were low on the list, but still very important. I was going for a Storm Trooper theme PC, and I think that turned out. I wanted the maximum performance possible, fast storage, and lots of it. The latest graphics and features and the RTX 2080 Super from EVGA fit the bill nicely. I wanted the CPU to have at least 8 Cores, so it would excel at recording and streaming. I was originally looking for the PC O-11 Dynamic, but it required fans and water cooling looks sick in that case, but I don't plan to do a custom loop, anytime soon. The Fractal Design Meshify C, it has good thermals and even better looks. It is pretty small for an ATX chassis. The biggest reason I built Ernie, was so I could start doing Youtube, and Streaming. My old PC could not handle gaming and recording at the same time, and struggled to run most games at 1440p/60FPS. I am looking to upgrade my monitor to an LG UltraGear IPS 144hz QHD Monitor. I also am looking to upgrade the AMD Stock Cooler to a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, because the stock cooler is super loud. I need to add more fans to further improve thermals, I am looking at some Corsair HD120's those look nice and perform well. If you read this far, Thank You, and maybe subscribe to my new YT Channel, QuackoOperator, I have already posted a video about this PC and I hope to continue to grow the channel and make some gaming content in the future. I want to make a series on F1 2020, maybe some Nascar Heat 5, and other racing games and shooter games such as COD: MW/Warzone.$1,807.91 -

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).$5,228.69 -

The sole purpose was for video editing and music creation. Secondly was to play some light gaming and virtual lab testing system. I am a Musician/IT technician, and music/video is a big part of what I do. So, I needed something that could handle both, and do other things in the process without having to choose weather to close programs because the components are lacking. I use Adobe premiere, photoshop, aftereffects, media encoder, and DaVinci Resolve for video creation and editing. For music I use Pro Tools and Reason. For games I do mostly racing and sports. For my virtual system I use VMware for my test labs for work. With all that said, building something powerful, stable and can handle everything is crucial. I have always used intel for my pass builds but I decided to take a jump to AMD for the first time and must its been great. Went with the Ryzen 3950x and it just powers through everything. Check out the parts I used, some might be overkill but why not lol. I do not like ordering things online and having to wait. So, Microcenter was just the best place to get all the parts I needed to create this build. Just want to say thank you and for making my dream possible.$3,792.92 -

This is my main computer, I use it pretty much every day - almost exclusively for playing games. Everything from Runescape to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and hopefully Cyberpunk. This was the first computer I built that had built in RGB and tempered glass side panels. So I wanted to do something special to show off. I bought some 3M vinyl and tried my hand at wrapping some panels in the case. For my first time every using vinyl wrap, I think it turned out okay! The back cable mgmt panels were a little dicey - mostly because of their size and curvature, but they pass the 6ft test. The build was originally completed in mid-summer of 2019, and then I upgraded the GPU and RAM. Since then, I've upgraded the fans all around (Noctua NF A14s) and added some extra storage. As for future plans... I currently have a closet full of custom watercooling parts waiting to go into the build. I built this system to because I built one for a buddy of mine and had too much fun doing it so i decided to build one of my own. Micro Center in Columbus Ohio did the hard line tubes for me. I wish I would've waited to get an AMD to drop the 3000 series of CPUs. The only things I didn't list where my Ducky One 2 Mini, and the custom cables from CableMod and Dream Cables. I have a 2080 Super listed but I only have a 2080 Founders, and a the block from Corsair listed is for a 2080ti but its the standard 2080 block.$3,859.75 -

I have a wide range of games I play, some as simple as Garry's Mod all the way to something unplayable without a ridiculous PC like Star Citizen. Only thing I'd change is the case, no room for a large modular PSU and the drive tray at the same time so for the time being I've ditched the HDD's and am running on only the two M.2 SSD's. I'm planning out another build for a buddy of mine which will essentially be a more polished version of my original with the changes I would've made, going with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 for that one.$4,574.84 -

I built it to handle the demanding AAA titles out now and future releases for a while as well as the ability to stream. My office is blue/stormtrooper themed so i put the aesthetics around that. This PC is capable of pretty much anything id ever ask it to do! I vertically mounted the GPU for the look of the shroud, and to take up the empty space in that section. Cable management for all of the fans and the lighting took much longer then i wanted but what came out was a clean system thats a showpiece as well as a high performing gaming system!
