Gaming/Streaming Rig - I built this so that I could have a nice gaming desktop for the first time. I am upgrading from a Toshiba Laptop that had a 770M. I was playing all games on the lowest settings and that was barely cutting it and it would still overheat. I am hoping to be able to play more games and high settings and stream casually as well. I play World of Tanks, Magic: the Gathering Arena, Smite, Ultimate Chicken Horse, Overwatch, Civ, and others. Future upgrades would likely be a better CPU cooler and maybe an additional chassis fan. I could also go full RGB but I am unsure if I want to do that. All in all, it is not super fancy like some of the others I've seen, but it is everything that I needed in a PC, allows me to upgrade easily later, and was my first ever PC build. Due to that, it'll always have a special place in my heart, even if it does not have the highest specs or all of the bells and whistles in appearance!$1,383.94 -

Covid caused me to need a new rig for home, couldn't find all the parts I wanted locally so I drove up to Tustin and purchased all these parts from MicroCenter! first full complete build with awesome specs ( vs medium build and upgrading) First AMD processor in years, and I love it. Just finished Death Stranding on a new monitor with 144hz, amazing game. I added a lego tower at the end of my GPU to stop the uneven sag, and the lego figures are keeping a watch on things. I am debating on selling the 2070 super for the new RTX cards coming out.$1,903.91 -

I have been an avid PC gamer the entire time. Starting out with simple games like IRON HELIX and now I just play a lot of Sea of Thieves, PUBG, WoW, Rocket League, and Diablo 3. I originally was not going to build a new PC. But given current scenario of our country I needed to have a space to work from home and my son needed a computer to do his school work from home. I work in I.T. and mostly deal with remote support now, and I am a Jamf administrator and in control of devices for over 17,000 staff and students at my place of employment. While I was parting out my sons "budget" build for school work and gaming, it became apparent a lot of 'budget' parts had shot up in price, so I made the decision to just build myself a new flagship, and give him my previous 7700k build. The only thing I wish I could have done differently was buy a 2080 Super, but they haven't been in stock for a couple weeks at my local store.$2,356.90 -

This was my first custom rig, built originally for light gaming, but morphed into a much more complex and powerful build (and more expensive) that I originally planned. I may have sacrificed a bit in performance for aesthetic, as water cooling and high-end RGB components are not cheap. I currently play games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassins Creed: Odyssey, Monster Hunter: World, the Dishonored franchise, GTAV, and plan on getting Cyberpunk 2077 when it releases. I am in the process of upgrading my GPU from the 980ti to a RTX 2070 Super, and recently upgraded my monitors from a 24" LG 1080p 70Hz and Asus 27" 2k 60Hz to dual LG Ultragear 27" 144hz 1440p monitors. Sadly, with the GPU upgrade, I will be converting from water cooling to all air cooling, with plans to add an AIO CPU cooler down the road.$3,605.92
