Ended up winning a reddit giveaway for a 4090 that I wouldn't be able to fit in my current build. After struggling to sell the 4090 on eBay, I decided to just build a whole new rig to accomodate it. Don't worry, my 5600G build went to my dad so he'd have a proper office PC, and I'm hanging onto my 6700XT in case the 4090 ever decides to off itself (*knock on wood*). I didn't choose the Evangelion theme... the Evangelion theme chose me.$1,492.92 -

I’m happy with the way it came out except for some of the wiring due to the TUF PSU having very malleable cabling. Not a bad thing I’m just inexperienced. Also, I wanted an AIO with an LCD screen but the NZXT and Ryujin still sit at a high price. I despise the large pump on the rug aio, but love the pump head despite not having a screen. Next purchase will be a monitor to take advantage of the 4090 but for now I’m super happy with what I have$3,054.92 -

This is a high end 4090 gaming build that is technically a "Budget 4090 Build" where I use some open box items and used components to save money. I am upgrading from a PC that is 9 years old and wanted to build a new one that will last me another 9 years. This is a gaming rig that can handle almost anything even though I mostly use it for productivity. Still in the process, but I will get back into streaming content online soon playing random games and drawing while hoping to do some game production. My goal is to fully utilize this PC with my 4K monitors. Besides that, it looks cool to look at! What a wonderful journey and it all started from buying the Microcenter Bundle!$4,090.69 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

My PC is a gaming PC with a little bit of streaming and school work in mind while picking out the parts. I mainly play Rocket League but when I need a break from the game, I play Call of Duty: Cold War, and a little bit of Valorant. There aren't too many games I play with being on my college's Rocket League roster. I am also a content creator on Twitch and am going to school to be a content creator for my college. When I am not gaming, I am using this computer as my computer, whether it is doing school work, watching YouTube or twitch, or just surfing the web. As for upgrades, I would definitely upgrade my GPU when I get the chance and money. When I went to get my parts, back in late October 2020, my GPU of choice, NVidia GeForce RTX 2070, was out of stock, so I went with AMD Radeon 5700 XT. I would love to upgrade to one of the RTX 30 series but I am content with my PC's performance as of now. *disclaimer: while putting together my parts list for this showcase, I could not find my current GPU, it only has the GPU I planned on using*$2,218.06 -

The reason for this build was because I wanted to be able to play computer games with my friends, but also be able to be productive when it comes to homework for school and work for my job. The other reason I finally decided to finally build a pc was also because of the CoronaVirus pandemic, since we as a nation were being ordered to stay quarantined, I figured this was the best time as any to join the pc master race. With CyberPunk 2077 coming later this year, I wanted to up my experience from my Xbox to PC gaming. Things I would have done different is not mix matching the parts, this was my first ever build so I just bought what I thought looked nice and was affordable. Next time I build a computer I plan on being more unified in parts. In the future I plan to over clock my CPU, so a future upgrade to my pc would be the AIO for better cooling to the future over clock.$1,975.87 -

After years of running a completely enclosed case with no rgb whatsoever, I decided that I was going to go all out on my next build. I play a variety of games, but my favorites are RPGs, Sci-Fi, and FPS. My main rotation right now is Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, The Witcher 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I decided that I wanted to upgrade everything about my pc for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game. I have been patiently waiting for years for this game, and with the release of the 30 series RTX graphics cards it seemed as though the stars had aligned. I started planning this build in February when rumors of the 30 series cards began to circulate. Little did I know that the world would soon descend into chaos, with massive lockdowns and shortages on electronics. On top of that, I work in the radio-pharmaceuticals industry, and was deemed an essential employee. I found myself working 12-16 hour shifts due to staff shortages, and each night I would come home and check the online stores to see if any of my pc parts were available. Slowly but surely, parts began to trickle in, and I began assembly in August. I was methodical in my building process, routing each cable to its destination, bundling and unbundling cables as I added more components. I wanted the pc to be an extension of myself, to stand out and show the hard work and love that I'd put into its creation. As it neared completion, it dawned on me that I had, in a way, embraced the cyberpunk lifestyle. Man and machine, working into the early morning hours, tinkering and improving, making sure everything is perfect. And so, the build is now complete. The only component that was reused was my EVGA 2070 Super, but I'm still hopeful that I can get my hands on a 3080 before the release of Cyberpunk 2077.$2,791.84
