While it is quite modest, this PC has a special place in my heart just because it is the first PC I've ever built and it's what got me into PC gaming/building. I use it as an all around workstation that serves multiple uses. Whether it is school work, gaming, or just general internet browsing it has served me very well in the 2 years I've had it. As the system is getting older, the graphics card in particular is starting to show its age in newer titles so an upgrade to a 7800 XT seems very intriguing for 1440p ultrawide gaming. But nonetheless, this PC has been rock solid and a great example of a humble system for the average person.$1,093.91 -

This is my second gaming PC build replacing my first build from 6 years ago because I got tired of playing games in low graphic settings in 1080p. I need a new PC that can handle 2k/120FPS+ and in high graphic settings. My budget was around $2000 and this is the setup I went with. The performance is right on the mark! I built this specifically to handle all video editing and gaming, as well as to have a PC that measured up to my mechanical keyboard and peripherals obsession. I play primarily single player RPGs, and also have to create a good amount of video content for work. I needed something that could handle relatively serious gaming applications as well as the most demanding scenarios Adobe has to offer, and this has been up to the task in absolutely every area. I've also recently discovered the joy that is Moonlight streaming on a hacked Switch, so now I'm able to play PC games on the go without having to purchase a Steam Deck. Next up is modifying my 3D Printer so that I'm able to stop/start/pause/monitor prints both from my PC and on the go. I continue to find new use cases for every hobby I take up, and generally the common thread is needing an adequately powerful PC to run everything. This thing overperforms every single time.$1,399.92 -

A Ryzen 1600 af, Rx 570, versa h18. I was researching for a month the cheapest most quality parts I could put in this. And it served me so well. Now it’s time for a cpu and GPU upgrade. I’m going to put a 5600 and a 6700xt in here. Honestly beautiful that I can do that on this MOBO and still get insane performance. I had a previous custom built pc and it was showing signs of age as the games were unable to run efficiently and it started to slow down and made loud noises. Boot time took around 3-5 minutes. So I decided to use some money I had saved up and buy the best components I could find to build my best custom PC so far. I didn't hold back at all and decided to go with the thermaltake p3 open air chassic with dual water cooling of the cpu and gpu through a hard tubed circuit. I made this masterpiece to play mainly Rocket League and to use it for programming as I am a Computer Science major student and need a powerful computer to be able to handle programs I might need to run. This pc can boot up in 10 seconds, shows very low temps almost always even under heavy gaming and can run almost any game with the powerful 3080. I posted my previous build before saying I would upgrade some parts, but I went ahead and replaced mostly everything. I went from a Ryzen 5 3600 to and Intel 17-12700k. This processor is freaking nuts. Micro had a bundle sale on it with a Z690 Tuf motherboard and ram. Continuing on, I went from an UpHere air cooler to the Lian Ali Galahad. This aio works wonders with this cpu, 75 degrees and high loads, 30 resting. I also went from 6600xt to a 6750xt. For 100 dollars more, it's worth every cent. It just performs so well with games in general. I average 124fps on high settings with 2k res on Hogwarts. I added 16gigs of more Ram for multitasking purposes, it also looks better with all four films filled up. Lastly, I added a mini monitor for temps and whatnot. I generally got it cause it looks cool. It does have high res tho!$1,598.88 -

However, as we all naturally do, I wanted to upgrade it the more I go. I recently purchased the Radeon 6650xt (upgrading from a 1060) so I could run newer games at higher resolutions while getting stable frames. I run games like COD, Smite, Fortnite, etc. Mainly got the graphics card to run Hogwarts though. :) I started from a budget case, Montech X1, to the Lian Li O11 Air Mini (amazing case), and now the Thermaltake P3. I also upgraded a few other things like my PSU (from 500w to 750w), RAM (from 3200 to 3600), and the stock cooler to an UpHere one (it actually cools pretty decently, it allowed me to overclock to 4.15 from 3.6).
