My daughter wanted a better computer and since she helps me upgrade mine from time to time she wanted to build her own. We told her if she could keep it around 500.00 budget we'd help her, so we scoured forums and youtube videos for less expensive builds. We found Toasty Bros there, and they in turn directed us to microcenter where we found a very nice cpu/motherboard/ram combo. with the combo and new case we came in around $570. She got her wish and I got a great father-daughter moment to cherish the rest of my life. :D$574.95 -

I wanted to use minimal RGB, so the parts wouldn’t be extremely saturated with RGB, and so I could play more comfortably at night. I chose these parts with a $1300 budget in mind. There were definitely things I believe I could’ve done to improve the build, such as a PSU without daisy-chained PCIE connectors, but it’s the price you pay for a quality unit, I suppose.$1,213.11 -

I am playing Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Avatar now. Probably more later. I really am glad to have gone all AMD with it. the processor and graphics cards are basically sleeping even while playing on high graphics mode. I sometimes have the performance view of task manager up and I've yet to crack 50% usage. Only thing I may have done differently is a different motherboard. It works fine, but it tried to install a manager that did NOT work. when installed it froze the computer after running. I had to boot into safe mode to get rid of it by deleting manually and removing from the registry. Trying to uninstall froze everything as well. So DON"T install the gigabyte management software.$1,269.94 -

I've wanted to build a gaming PC since last August, and now I've done it. It's much better than I first planned. The primary reason for this PC is for gaming, so deciding which GPU to get is important. It's the first part I brought. I ended up with the RX 7800 XT because it's enough for the type of game I play and it was on sale. Building this PC was surprisingly easy with the help of YouTube video guides. Games I play are cod, GTA, virtual reality, vrchat, Roblox, Pavlov, valheim, Minecraft, Forza, Bethesda games, dark and darker, ect. Recently, my old system with an Intel i7-4790k and a GTX 1070ti broke down. I tried for 2 days but could not get it to boot pass window start up loading screen. It's because of that and how outdated it is of a system, I decided to upgrade to a new system. I mostly just doing some lite web browsing as well as doing spreadsheet and video calling. I used to game but since my PC couldn't keep up with the new games as well as life gotten busier I stopped gaming. However, with this new machine of a beast. Every game that I tested now can do well above 100fps with games that goes to the 200fps. So hopefully I can dive back into gaming soon. I went with and Ryzen 7 5800x and ROG Strix B550 motherboard as well as an Radeon RX 7800 XT with the NZXT H6 Flow housing. I know this doesn't have much of an upgrade ability beside from going to the 5800x3d and possibly better GPU however because I want an all-white esthetic and AM4 is the cheapest to go for it.$1,499.92 -

For my second ever time building a PC, I really wanted to make a small-form factor computer so that I will be able to easily move the PC around. My first PC was in a giant mid-tower LIAN LI case and when I was moving between countries, it was impossible to keep that PC without tearing it down. As such, I've turned to an ITX case with the Fractal Terra (Jade colour) and though it was personally challenging to build in such a small space (especially the cable management...), I really love it!! RAM, and an RX 580 (which was the newest component). This old workhorse could handle most indie and older/more modest 3D games at 1080p, but modern titles were only playable at 30fps and low settings. With my new (long overdue) build, I may not be playing the most graphically intense games out there, but I've been able to max out the following titles at 1440p and comfortably run them above 60fps (where possible) without the need for upscaling: Baldur's Gate III Helldivers 2 Elden Ring Armored Core VI Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Remnant II Last Epoch I've also been able to multitask while playing the aforementioned titles, i.e. streaming several videos on a second monitor without any noticeable dips in game performance.$1,574.90 -

With this build I wasn't trying to spend an outrageous amount, but wanted something that would last. The $400 deal from Micro Center that included the 7700x, motherboard, and 16Gb ddr5 was unbeatable. From there I acquired the other parts to just get a complete pc, already having a 500W psu and an absolute beast of an RX 580. Added an extra stick of 16GB as well. I just wanted something that works. Albeit, it struggled with elden ring. My work here wasn't done. The initial rig (red rgb fans) lasted a couple of months, where I upgraded the psu and added another 2tb of storage. However, I was getting fed up with that insane gpu bottleneck. So, I impulsively bought the 7800xt and slapped it right in there. Could not be happier. Absolutely crushes elden ring and anything I throw at it. (yes I know this is overkill for 1080p, but eventually I will upgrade to 1440p)$1,589.79 -

When i was designing the build, primarily i was focused on getting the 7800x3d bundle deal since the 7800x3d is universally the king of gaming since it draws lower power and is SUPER efficent. Primarily i use it for gaming for lower end titles like minecraft and raft but i also play more demanding titles like 7 days to die, rust, bf 2042, etc. Currently i have the ak500 in the build but due to the build height, im opting to go for a 360mm rad simply because i was going to get more case fans but i also dont want to cause long term damage to the cpu or the glass.$1,589.92 -

This is my first PC build in 10 years and first SFF PC. Its a powerhouse and the best PC I've built to date. I play CS2, Diablo 4, Lost Ark, Black Desert and mostly anticipating and excited for Black Myth Wukong. I plan on upgrading to 7900 XT in the near future so then I won't have to upgrade for years to come. This build was super easy for an SFF ITX build because it came with PSU and custom AIO bundle so I didn't have to think about which of those two parts to buy. Even though it was fairy easy it did take me quite some time to finish the build because I wanted to make sure everything was right. I've had to take the PC apart many times and initially I thought it was going to be a pain because of the size but its actually super easy to service as all the panels come off. I've actually changed parts a few times and added custom cables so I had to make many micro adjustments so it gets easier and faster each time. One small "mod" I did to fit the bottom thick 28mm 120mm fans on the bottom was I had to elevate the GPU and to do that I added 4 6-32 nuts and 3/4" screw. It adds about 10mm in height giving it just enough clearance to fit the fans. I hope everyone enjoys this build as much as I did!$1,658.37 -

My crappy laptop just can't handle it. I have been wanting to build a PC for years, so this game finally convinced me to do it. I want a decent spec to be able to handle most games at 1440p, so a powerful CPU and GPU combo is a must. That's why I choose R7 7700X + RX 7800 XT!$1,885.93 -

I built this PC for gaming because of the parts that I picked and this PC has came a long way with me and I am very happy and grateful for having this with me for future upgrades I might upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 9 7800x and the motherboard to get the maximum performance I can get. I had a DeepCool AK620 air cooler installed on it before this because I was skeptical about water cooling. I am afraid the coolant leak or coolant evaporation causes the CPU to overheat, but after some research, I learned that coolants are non-electrically conductive and evaporation isn't really a problem until after 5-6 years of use. When the coolant evaporation becomes a problem, the entire PC is due for an upgrade anyway.$1,980.95 -

I began building this PC with no prior understanding of what I was getting into. It was a journey of uncertainty and learning. As I delved deeper into the process, I found myself increasingly captivated, eventually developing a genuine passion for it. This project is essentially a rebuild of a gaming pc I had previously assembled. This previous build had problems, though. Specifically, I had temps on my 5800x that were quite frankly unacceptable, often spiking over 90 degrees C while under heavy load from a video editing application. The Arctic Liquid Freezer II is one of the best reviewed cpu coolers and has made a significant positive impact on the cooling for this build. One thing I learned through this process is that there is more than one revision of the Ryzen 7 5800x cpu. Many online review sites demonstrate newer revisions of the 5800x run a cooler temperatures and at a lower power draw. So looking back on my purchases, I wish I had specifically bought only the newer revision of the 5800x.$2,044.92 -

Third computer I've designed chronologically, a straightforward yet powerful gaming setup for an entirely different friend in a Meshify C. Built in a period when it was possible to purchase graphics cards but not motherboards or power supplies. Fortunately, I was able to get a 650w gold unit with an excellent reputation for a reasonable price. The price list is unquestionably inaccurate. Just got him a 1440p monitor, most of the games he plays aren't very taxing, so the 3090 super hangs in there really well, and even the most taxing games it can still hold its own over 100+ fps with some adjusted settings.$2,097.92 -

With this build, I went with a plant and Ghibli theming. I did a case mod of putting a smaller monitor in the front of the case in order to use wallpaper engine to add to the aesthetic of the build. This build was challenging not only because of the monitor mod but also because I top-mounted the AIO which required another mod to be able to attach it.$2,513.90
