Upgraded from a 10 year old 4770k / 1080Ti rig which to date still holds it's own, but wanted to dabble in the custom arena. Games include GTA, all BF titles, Far Cry series, Ghost Recon Series, Sniper Elite Series.$8,643.80 -

I am a gamer, and I focus on graphics and smooth game play, so the games I play take up a lot of room and computing power. With a game library of over 1,000 games and constantly getting more, I have to keep adding and/or replacing parts to my rig. Anything from older Command and Conquer games, Mass Effect, Starcraft; to new hits like Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield, Destiny 2, Battlefield. With this in mind I am always looking at new gear and reviews (even when not planning an upgrade) so I am able to keep up with new games while making sure I can still play the old favorites. I am looking into the streaming field as well, just not sure how to start getting followers.$8,174.25 -

I built this computer to replace my 5 year old gaming rig to celebrate by 50th birthday. I use it mostly for gaming and daily networking, but I do use some software that takes full use of the 128GBs of RAM. I purchased a power supply and case designed around future expansion, but I have no plans to upgrade anything at this time.$6,375.69 -

I never really liked showing my end result as I just love the build. I tend to become totally enthralled in making a PC work. so after 3 back to back deployments (and some money in the bank) I decided to pull the trigger and do a new rig build. I am not going to lie to you this build took away from gym time but was well worth it. I built my first PC when I was 14. That would be 1996. A Pentium 286 and it was awesome lol. fast forward to now and components are readily available and there is a monopoly now. Don't get me wrong I still think everything is pretty overpriced but compared to paying $300 for 8mb of "gold tip" RAM its kind of status quo.$6,208.82 -

This machine is what I run my business on (dbw-media.com), as well as my hobbies. I've played guitar since the age of 5, and eventually got into music production and also DJing. I stream DJ sets on Twitch (xxDamianUSxx) as well as upload recorded sets to YouTube. Having shopped at Microcenter for around 20 years building PCs, I am honored to share this top-level build! Yes, I obviously also play games on this rig, so don't worry!! (CyberPunk 2077, Eve Online, Star Citizen, Destiny 2 and World of Tanks).$5,913.79 -

Built this rig to play my many games at high frame rates while maintaining stellar graphics. I aimed for the 2K resolution as it was the best of both worlds in terms of high refresh rate and still having good-looking graphics. Mainly though, I play games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, Wreckfest, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. For MP games I tend to keep RTX off for the added bump in frames, but for any coop/SP games, I crank everything to 11 and enjoy the beauty. The LG OLED monitor was a perfect choice for me as it provided the refresh rate I wanted while having an incredibly stunning color range and depth of black. Pair that with the 13700K and RTX 4090, and the games not only play super smooth but look incredible while doing so. All this sit on top of the Secretlab Magnus metal desk as I needed something right around this length while having prime cable management and this checked off all the boxes I needed while looking sleek. All in all, everything worked out right the first time, and luckily I planned everything out well enough to where I did not need to reconsider choices. One thing I will change/add in the future is adding my LG 34" UW back into the mix and probably put that on top, just for some extra real estate.$5,869.79 -

Snagged a Zotac 4090 off of Amazon for 1699 right before they disappeared from everywhere. 140mm fans look great! (too bad they don't have a 420mm Gallahad). And no... I didn't leave the NVME in that slot. I did test with it in that Gen5 slot vs the other M2 slot with the 4 lanes direct to the CPU (so not making the GPU run in 8x PCIE lanes). There was zero performance difference (actually it gets slightly faster 3dmark scores with the PCIE gen 5 M2 slot occupied (within margin of error though). Also.. not sure where the AsRock Nova Wifi went on their website (it's still there if you search, but not on the list of MBs). It is an awesome board so far, both in performance and looks.$5,825.81 -

I went overboard on this build because I wanted something that I could play at high fps at maxed settings, it to look visually appealing, and to last me a long time before having to truly upgrade. The Maximus z790 HERO, Ryujin II, and Lian Li infinity fans were chosen for their looks. Noctua A14 fans were carried over from the previous build, I don't see them so they're not getting replaced with Lian Li fans. The Strix 4090 is very nice, I got an open box from Microcenter. No complaints! Tackles any game with high frames at the moment. There was a G.Skill Trident RGB ram kit initially, but it seems the motherboard didn't like the kit in XMP and would spit out error code 55 whenever I rebooted the system. The corsair kit works perfectly. I had issues with the RGB on the G.Skill kit as well where it would not sync with the motherboard, so I opted to go with no RGB on the current kit. I did double check my contact frame on the CPU, that did not seem to be an issue for the error code. The SATA SSDs are from previous builds over the years, if anything were to be upgraded, these would be swapped out for NVME drives. They're used for older games at the moment, with newer releases being installed on the NVME OS drive. The Evolv X looks great and is carried over from a past build. Cable management was a bit difficult with the 2 different hubs needed for the Lian Li fans and the Ryujin II cooler. I'd choose a different case with a bit more space for cable management and better airflow in the future. The ROG Thor P2 1200w is overkill and the last power supply I plan to buy. It is a bit long for the Evolv X's PSU cut out, with the RGB being cut off. Both hard drive cages are removed in the bottom to accommodate for the PSU length and cable slack.$5,121.45 -
