The system was originally built for benching in overclocking competitions, specifically for CPU and memory overclocking. It has since been used for general web browsing and gaming, with some performance tweaking going on every now and then when I get the urge. I can bench the delidded 8700k at 5.4ghz (Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the die) in Cinebench and my memory runs stable at DDR4 4000 C15-15-15-30 with a Command Rate of 2. tREFI at 65535 and tRFC at 300. Every single timing has been tightened to their limits, from primaries all the way down to the last tertiary timing. RTL and IO-L values have been manually dialed in to prevent the RAM from training outside of my specifications. Currently, the least impressive aspect of my system is the graphics card. It's a stock RTX 2080 Ti using a reference PCB and modded to use my old 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid cooler. Anything is possible with a rotary tool. I plan on using a custom Heatkiller Pro IV block to replace the FTW3 hybrid cooler and eventually mod the card to support a higher power limit through shunt mods. My cooling solution is quite overkill, hence the name of this build. My CPU water block is a Heatkiller Pro IV. My loop has a massive 1260mm radiator with 18 Corsair ML140 fans in a push-pull configuration. My water never exceeds the ambient air temperature in my room. It's for this exact reason that I am able to bench my processor as high as 5.4ghz, and run at 5.1ghz stable under load. I use a standard EKWB D5 Liang pump which has a high enough flow rate to move the liquid through my radiator. To top everything off, I use a little pink desk fan to keep my motherboard VRM's cool under this heavy load. If it looks stupid but works, it's not stupid.

Decided to do a new build around the wonderful Ryzen 2700x CPU, and I'm very glad I did. It's a very fast processor that handles gaming, streaming and video editing with no issues at all. The Wraith Prism cooler it comes with is the best cooler I've ever seen bundled with a processor too. The RX5700XT Red Devil keeps all games running smoothly at high frame rates in 1440p even with high or ultra settings. Of course, I also had to put in a lot of RGB. The corsair HD120 fans have no diffusion on the RGB leds, which pair perfectly with the corsair led strips, while keeping everything cool. This InWin case doesn't come with any fans, but has room for up to 6. It also features a tool-less tempered glass panel on the side and RGB on the InWin logo. Because of the side intake the case stays very cool, even with a closed off front panel. There's also an included GPU bracket to protect it from sagging, very useful for a big card like the 5700XT Red Devil!

He was given a budget of $5,000 and he was able to use the brand new Intel 9900KS processor. Linus decided to use the Asus TUF Gaming GT501 case with Corsair RGB fans. He built a very powerful PC including 2 Nvidia RTX 2080 TI graphics cards. Linus put this system together in our workshop and decided he wanted to sell it. With limited time left in the day, he priced this $5,000 PC at small discount for $20! The lucky customer who first noticed this PC was purchasing it as a birthday gift for her brother. Unfortunately Linus was not able to accept credit card payment at his cardboard stand, so he knocked another $5 off the price. With $15 cash in hand, he headed to Carl's Jr. after a successful, hard day of work! Thanks so much to Linus for coming out and filming in our store. We had a blast and can't wait for the next time you're in town! To see the full video visit Linus' channel here: https://youtu.be/5rwYjRzLHHI

This is a simplistic build that will take care of all the customer's gaming and work needs, but takes care of hem in style with an RGB lit Cooler Master fan, and bright RGB dual RAM sticks. This is the customers first custom built PC, and they wanted to make sure it was perfect but simplistic, nothing too crazy, but got the job done with a little bit of pizzazz! He wanted to make sure that it could load up fast without having to wait so he could meet up with his friends and get to his games and work going as soon as possible, so he made sure to pick out a speedy 1TB M.2 SSD and a RAM kit with 2 8gb sticks of RAM. Unlike your regular desktop computer, this build has a side panel that is one big window so you can see ALL the components as they spin whir and light up the case. This build also has an amazing GTX Geforce graphics card for an amazing real life gaming experience.

This gaming PC was created with some help from Microcenter who sponsored a project for us, the Toastybros, to head out to the Sharonville Microcenter and build a PC with a max budget of $1,000. We built this around the time Microcenter was having a deal on the Ryzen 7 2700x where it was only $130. Insane value. The best part is, once we built this PC in the back of the Microcenter, we found a lucky random shopper to give this PC to for free. We love to give back, and if you would like to see the video we made, check it out here! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxsQN4TRDDo&t=2s

This version has the improved RTX 2060 Super, so if you want to see the general performance of the build, check out the video linked and this PC will perform roughly ~15% better for gaming performance better due to having the 2060 Super. This also uses the NZXT H210i case and a Corsair SF600 power supply, which can be found at Microcenter and are just as viable for the build, otherwise the Lian Li and Seasonic PSU must be sourced elsewhere. The Dragon was a build in the works for about 6 months to accumulate the necessary parts and aesthetics without destroying my poor, poor wallet all in one go. Its purpose was primarily for gaming though it is also used for software development (personal and work related), cyber security (pentesting, malware analysis, cracking, etc), and entertainment (streaming and media server). When gaming, I aim for multiplayer usually Overwatch or PUBG though I spend a portion of time in single player games such as Fallout, Just Cause, Witcher and Civilization VI. I tend to contribute to a few open source projects in my free time and also do work in web development so it doubles as a fantastic development and testing environment, especially with the amount of tasks I can spin up thanks to the Ryzen 3700X. My only two slight disappointments with the build, which I plan on changing in the future are that I didn't upgrade to a 2080 Ti (preferably the Gigabyte AORUS XTREME, cause its such a beautiful card), and that I didn't dump out even more money for a 3900X, which I likely will not be upgrading since it'd be overkill on my wallet for little extra visible benefit. Personally, I found this build to be an absolute pleasure to put together despite my sometimes questionable use of cable ties and not having more than 2 hands! Thanks to the use of a Corsair Commander Pro I managed to keep my fan and RGB cables neat and clean, but I admit that as far as cable management goes, its not my proudest work on the backside. C'est la vie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It provides all the performance you'd expect from the parts and I so far have not had any issues with any of the software or games I have run on it. It eats through gaming, streaming shows, and running multiple development servers simultaneously like a dream, but the unfortunate trade-off is that my beefy Zotac 1080Ti AMP Extreme spits out more heat than an average fireplace. Since I'm aiming for an upgrade in the future, this may rectify itself nicely since I know the airflow in the case keeps fresh enough thanks to 9 fans. All in all, my favorite build to date. - jkmalan
