Generally whenever I do what I consdider to be a major hardware swap or build, it's time to move the number count up. First personal build was in 1998. Last build has lasted me just over 5 years. I figured it's time to replace MOBO, CPU and other components to get myself up to date as well still being able to reuse some core components of my current setup. Went with a 11th Gen Intel and 590 MOBO to be able to utilize my existing sets of DDR4. Excited to get this up and running. Outside of the case, this will be a total Micro Center build as I've got to support the hometown company (Columbus). I'm reusing 2 key parts from my earlier 2016 build - Video Card and RAM. Not wanting to rush into a GPU upgrade just yet due to pricing, but maybe someday I'll get a 3080... Case is extremely clean and easy to work with. As you can tell, this is a work in progress build. System is fully installed and updated with Win10 Pro, just waiting for a good time to switch out full time. Until then, GPU was pulled again and back on old system. It's hard to justify not reusing my 64GB of RAM. Plans are to pull 32GB out of my existing build to use in this build until I can transition my old build over to be my camera DVR system. This will also be my first build where I don't bother with an optical drive. After 25 years of building systems, It's time to move on. Call me a old fogey builder, but I still work with air cooled and love these Noctua fans. My previous build has one and some extra fans I also picked up locally. Not exactly a fan of the case having a glass side, but that's fine, case will be in an area where side panel won't be seen and I won't be running RGB, etc but, with all the RGB hookups though on the MOBO, who knows, maybe that will change. I was able to get this from Amazon Warehouse deals and it was basically brand new. I'm fairly certain it was never opened, just a small amount of warehouse damage to the exterior box. Will add finished product photos once up and fully running. Also will pull 1 or 2 HDs from my current build to move to this. After the holidays, this will get into production.$2,169.89 -

I built this PC myself 8 years ago, though I've obviously upgraded it a few times since then. Never quite got the hang of perfect cable management, so it doesn't look super fancy or anything, but it definitely does the job. I actually built it because I didn't want to buy the new Xbox One at the time and I wanted to look at a cheaper option with a smaller budget, which turned out to be PC gaming. Since then, I've splurged whenever I could afford to, and though it's no longer the cheapest option like I originally planned, I do get a powerful system that looks so fantastic in action! My PC is for mostly gaming. I play just about anything that catches my eye, from lesser known games like Duck Game and Temtem, to AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA V. My favorites though, have to be Detroit: Become Human, Payday 2, Borderlands 2, and Beat Saber (I have the original Vive for anyone curious!). I also draw, write papers, and did all my work on it in college, so it doubles for general purpose. I think I'm done upgrading for a few years, as I just got my GPU and new PSU this past year, but my next will definitely have to include the CPU/MOBO/RAM. In case anyone is wondering, I still am entering the competition despite not needing an upgrade myself, because I'm getting my boyfriend into PC gaming now! I'm surprising him with a 3060 Ti that I was able to grab next week, but we still need everything else eventually. :') As for anything I'd do differently, I guess work on my cable management and how neat it looks inside with the lighting, but I can always fix that next time I do anything with it, I guess. :)$3,357.92 -

Built exclusively for gaming when the lockdown initially hit and I knew I would be bored. Initially started as unicorn puke RGB but over the last year, I phased out of it and went to minimalistic monochrome type of look. Added a Star Wars Tie Interceptor as a bonus since it suits the theme. This was an entry way to building a PC that I wanted to build for several years. Initially I started streaming for a few months, then things started getting busy so I kind of left it behind. However, I'd absolutely get back into streaming (ProjectZuki - Twitch) Primary games: Destiny 2, The Division 2, Rocket League (if I'm in a good mood), 7 Days to Die, Cyberpunk Most games run solid on highest settings. Except Cyberpunk obviously, and literally no graphics card can run 7D2D without setting itself on fire first. Games run at a stable 75 FPS ultrawide 16:9 2560x1080 by LG Future upgrades: Graphics card. We all secretly have a thing for that precious Strix logo, their RTX 3060 is the largest I can fit in this case. Asus TUF 3070 is a solid choice as well. At this point, anything I can get my hands on is an upgrade but what I have now runs great and I refuse to support scalpers. If anything, I would have gone with a Lian Li 011 Dynamic. I may even switch in the near future. However with the Corsair 220T I enjoy the small just-enough size that is plenty spacious for sufficient airflow, and not too small that hardly anything fits.$1,777.92 -

I purpose built this PC for my two kids so that they could each have a computer/work station to do general homework and classes on zoom. The PC needed to be small, low key yet look good and clean, and fit into the bookshelf between their desk. I thought it would be a nice touch for the PC to be able to play games on the TV so I installed NES, Super NES, and N64 emulators on it with several games for each emulation. Everything is directly wired up to the PC including the TV. Because of their ages, I didn't want any wires to be seen since the room is also their play area. In the near future, I will put a multiseat software on the PC to complete the build out.$799.61 -

However I wanted and all around PC that I could do pretty much anything on. I have always bought the standard prebuilt machines over the years and wanted something to call my own not HP or Dell HAHA. It was a little overwhelming at first but the associates at Microcenter pointed me in the right direction for everything and asked really good questions. Very Helpful. But I'm extremely happy with the perfomance and products I chose. Now looking forward to the next build and upgrades. LOL$2,225.88 -

This is a computer that I took a lot of time to decide on the parts that went into it. I originally wanted to go with a white themed build but decided on a stealthy black and silver colorway.
