As a kid, I always wanted to have a gaming pc of my own, where I could crush any game I wanted and push the limits of performance. My build started in 2017, and I saved every penny I could find to afford it. It's carried me throughout the years to today, with some upgrades of course. Originally, the build consisted of an Intel Core i5-7600K, MSI Z270 Gaming M7, ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC, Samsung 850 PRO, and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB. I play indie games like Lethal Company and Undertale, and big games like Battlefield 2042, Mortal Kombat 1, Five Nights at Freddy's, and VRChat. Throughout the time I spent building my pc, I wish I had purchased the parts at once instead of incrementally buying a part when it was possible. I could've gotten newer hardware had I done the former. In the future, I definitely would like to get a 2TB NVME SSD to replace my Seagate hard drive, and upgrade to 32GB of DDR4 ram. I also foresee a switch to the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor line.$2,646.49 -

I think it turned out very well, and with a few tweaks to the GPU settings, I can hit over 100 fps on all current games (Minecraft, Fortnite, Battlefield, etc.) at 1080p medium graphics settings. I like to run a few cad sims and code just for fun. I don't really do any computationally demanding tasks, so the parts I have are significant for my current needs. I plan on upgrading sometime in the near future (around Q3 2023) to something like a 3070 ti/ 4070 or a 6800 xt so I can run games at 1440p.$939.91 -

He only plays war thunder, APEX, and other non-graphical intense games, so 3060ti is good enough. He was very happy to have his very first own gaming PC. The only thing I would upgrade to this build is to add another monitor, or get a bigger monitor.$1,598.93 -

I built this pc in the middle of covid during the graphics card shortage. I bought everything besides the gpu first and ran on integrated graphics because it was good enough for games like valorant and csgo. A few months later I bought a graphics card. This budget build is mainly used for playing games like Valorant, Csgo, Apex Legends, and a little bit of forza.$867.93 -

This was a build that me and my brother did together and with the release of Ark 2 next year, we wanted a pc that would be able to run it. Also, we never had a gaming pc, so this is our first one and we thought we’d get a fairly high end pc to make it worth the while. Another reason my and my brother built this PC was because I wanted to get better at 3d modeling and animation in blender. Before building the computer, I was working on an intel I5 MacBook and it was cutting it, so I was really excited to get a computer to learn more things. I’m also thinking of doing YouTube on the PC and start a gaming channel, and maybe try a bit of streaming at some point. As of now, our build has been completed for about two weeks and it runs at good temperatures and it’s powerful. The games we have so far are mostly free games like valorant and rocket league, but we also have minecraft and Green Hell, but we’re thinking of getting Inside The Backrooms and Valheim.$1,660.87 -

This PC was built for my brother as a birthday gift; ultimately we had to use the OEM graphics card (a 1660 ti) from his previous pre-built PC as GPU stocks were low, but everything else fit around it well. Most of the parts were purchased from Microcenter either on sale or as a bundle, and there were no issues building either. One small change I would have done was switch the case for a 4000D as the glass panel in the front does not provide the best airflow, but otherwise there is enough airflow for some airflow. The CPU is also known to run hot, so I decided to get a liquid cooler to compensate. This PC will mostly be used for gaming, titles such as Fortnite, Valorant, and Dead by Daylight, with some simultaneous Discord screen sharing or OBS recording. So far, the build has been running smoothly without issues and all of these things are able to be done without issues. The GPU is definitely bottlenecking the gaming capabilities though, one game that the build struggles to run is Warzone.$1,179.94 -

Finally was able to build the dream PC that the young me would have always wanted, but I had trouble with the GPU, I got an RX6600XT as a birthday present in Dec. but it had performance issues a few months after! Luckily I had the protection plan yall provided and they had RTX 3070 FEs for MSRP, but even after getting that one, it died. I believe what caused this was not having a surge protector, since I live in Texas with an unreliable power grid, but I was able to return that one and got an RTX 3070 TI since I was told they have a very low failure rate, and I wanted some beefy cooling since I was going for a ITX build.$1,389.94 -

My aunt was using a 10+ year old Dell prebuilt for office work throughout the Covid lockdown, and that thing was clearly a relic (100 GB hard drive and 3-5 minute boot time). I decided to put together a new work computer for her and have a little bit of fun deal-hunting and messing with a small form factor. It's actually a bit overkill for a computer just intended for basic office work, watching streams, and web browsing, but I wanted to make sure this build would last a while given how infrequently she replaces her hardware. Was pleasantly surprised I was able to keep it below $500 pre-tax.$498.95 -
