I finally found a high-end graphics card and so I put together a new build in a new case to accommodate it. I also shuffled some components I already had in-hand from my previous build. I mainly play Overwatch 2 and Destiny 2 at this point.$1,252.93 -

I don't play many graphically intensive games hence the 1660 ti. I mainly play Forza Horizon, 2d indie games, and visual novels. I also do a lot of web development and graphic design work. In the future I would like to get a mini tower case and 32 gb of ram. Not all the parts were available in the Micro center parts options. Cooler is a Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B, main drive is a Western Digital 500GB WD Blue SN550 NVMe ssd, also has a Hitachi 500gb hdd and SK Hynix 500gb ssd, case is Thermaltake not sure the model was given to me by a friend.$963.94 -

I recently wanted to upgrade my graphics card and let the upgrade creep get me. Ended up building a new computer. This one is now a mini ITX and I use it for gaming, a media server and some smart home automation virtual hubs. I got lucky that the graphics card fit (so long as I put the fans last) as I had already bought it about a month prior to getting the case.$1,238.92 -

This is an upgraded build made from the bones of my first gaming PC after UPS played soccer with it. I play mostly less intensive games, but when I do play the more graphically intense AAA titles, it runs them perfectly, usually at ultra settings.$1,192.70 -

At the end of the year, I had a number of gift cards on hand ready to be spent - so it was time for a new project! I took the motherboard, cpu, ram, cooler, and hard drive from an existing build and installed them all in a new case fitted with a new psu. Now that it's completed, I wish I would have purchased a case that was for micro-atx sized motherboards only. The atx sized case works perfectly fine but it seems like it wastes a few inches of space where it could be more compact.$529.94 -

This PC started off as a pre-built from Overclockers UK but had various upgrades in order to keep it more up to speed. This was a computer bought/upgraded for my cousin who lives in the UK. At this point, almost everything is replaced either with parts I purchased used, or open-box/sealed from third party sellers on places like eBay. One of the only parts remaining is the CPU. I would upgrade it, but I plan to just create him an entirely new build very soon. Due to the graphics cards constraints, only low level games are played. Mainly Minecraft, Overwatch 2, TF2, and Terraria. The computer also holds up very well for simple productivity and day to day use, e.g. schoolwork. Unfortunately, since all the money went to sourcing parts, the build does not visually look like anything special. Even the original LED RGB strips that came with the proprietary Overclockers case is broken, burning out after a few months of use. The airflow is still decent in this case however, with a solid push/pull configuration set up to take air in from small vents in the front and exhaust through the top and back. Temps stay average, which is nice. There used to be power issues as well due to a faulty PSU but I upgraded it to a sturdier unit and there have not been any problems since. The PC is able to run Minecraft, Terraria and other similar level games at 300+ FPS, and Overwatch, League, etc at around 150-180. This is more than enough for 1080p60 gameplay especially for this price. This is also while actively in Discord calls with maybe 1-2 background processes open.$675.96 -

One of my friends wanted a new computer for everyday use and I told her I'd help her build one instead of buying one. She doesn't do much except the occasional League of Legends game for the most part, but at least now she has the option to if she so desires! Her old laptop took over 10 minutes just to start up and this new one starts up in less than 30 seconds! So far, she loves it, although she did say she wishes there was more RGB inside so we may have to add that later on.$575.93 -

I have had a prebuilt for 5 years and with the new Hogwarts Legacy game coming out I knew I needed a new one. I upgraded from a gtx 1060 and intel i5 8400 to a rx 6700xt and a ryzen 5 5600x. I can run new high demanding games with max settings on 60fps like Doom Eternal, High on life, Fortnite, and many others. Although I normally like to play most games on performance mode to max out my fps, sometimes its nice to see some cool graphics. One thing I would have done differently was to wait a little longer and get a rtx 3070. Nvidia gpus are in favor for most games and kind of regret buying an AMD gpu in some situations.$1,125.89 -
