While not cheap, I was able to build this and keep it under 1k. Aesthetically it's got a lot of white and blue and even has a special sonic the hedgehog motherboard (one of my favorite series). featuring an intel 13500, intel arc a750, 32gb of ddr6 CL28 5600 ram and over 4gb of storage its perfect for now with plenty of room to upgrade. Also it's a full intel build something I wanted to try with the release of the new Arc gpus. Eventually plan to upgrade my gpu whenever Nvidia releases a better deal or intel releases a new series.$961.95 -

Recently I had my older brother mention to me that he was interested in building a budget-friendly pc for him sometime soon that would be close to a PS5 in performance. Well, little does he know that the build is now done! And wiring up this desciption is my way of venting some enthusiam about the build wihout actually giving it to him as a gift this Christmas. He specifdically wants to play the first God of War game on pc because he knows it runs a lot better on pc than on console. I went with an Intel i5 12400 cpu because it's was the best performance-to-price product in my price range. But I did have to buy a seperate air cooler. I didn't want to trust that wimpy Intel air cooler than comes in the retail 12400 package. (It looks basically like the same aluminum cooler they've used for years but now have painted it black.)$751.91 -

It's beauty shines from the little bit of lighting from the Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition. This pc is being housed in who knows what it is a Antec case from the dinosaur age because I am too poor to buy an actually good case. I have 2X16GB aka 32GB of 2666mhz CL19. I know it is pretty slow speeds and probably kills the performance of my CPU but I am on a really tight budget. Then Paired with the Intel Arc is the one and only Ryzen 5 5600 with a Thermalright Assassin X 120 R SE cooler. The reason why I went for the Ryzen 5600 is because I edit a lot of videos and need multicore performance for DaVinci resolve. I also game "a lot" (I literally only play Forza, Garry's Mod, and Minecraft) I also used a random old 1000w EVGA power supply which I hope but probably could blow up any moment know due to the amount of screws and dust inside the PSU. Personally this pc does what I need.$789.95 -

I use it to play Fortnite and its fun to benchmark it and make the numbers go up. 11900K with 2x16 16Gbit Micron Rev B (it zooms) Arc A750 (#1 score in the US on Timespy, go figure) I've been working on this pc for a good long time, and it's finally at a point that I'm happy with it at 1440p gaming. The A750 performs well enough in Fortnite (consistent frames, lows well above 90 so it looks nice) and I actually downgraded from a 3070Ti because the A750 performs as well as I need No plans for future upgrades, not in the near future at least.$1,166.95 -

I built this system with the goal of assembling a very budget-conscious machine that could still provide adequate performance for gaming at light to medium settings. It will be used mainly at 1080p and sometimes I might hook it up to a 1440p monitor to see how it manages. Microcenter was definitely a solid option for me to get the cpu, motherboard (combo discount) and gpu all at prices a little below what they go for on the major online retailers. One thing I might have done wrong was intially trying out an open-box graphics card. I had problems with that one displaying video even on initial motherboard post. So looking back on the process, I should have saved time and just bought the new graphics card I ended up exchanging for.$731.96 -

My initial motivation for building this PC two years ago was the anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I had been playing other simulators for many years before then and wanted an upgrade for the new intense game. I've been wanting an upgrade from my Dell Optiplex retrofitted with a GTX 1050 Ti for a while, but this pushed me to actually go ahead and do it. I still play Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day, but most of my time on this machine has shifted to software engineering and, incidentally, developing addons for the simulator. I am a computer science student and use this computer to compile Rust libraries, run simulations in Python, and develop websites. A year after getting this computer, I replaced the stock heat sink on my RTX 2080 Super with an NZXT Kraken, and it was totally worth it as I haven't had any problems with thermals since then and the computer is pretty darn quiet. The only upgrade that I see myself making in the foreseeable future is a kit of custom white cables along with a modular PSU to replace the horrendous ketchup and mustard powering the rig.$1,732.91 -
