I’m happy with the way it came out except for some of the wiring due to the TUF PSU having very malleable cabling. Not a bad thing I’m just inexperienced. Also, I wanted an AIO with an LCD screen but the NZXT and Ryujin still sit at a high price. I despise the large pump on the rug aio, but love the pump head despite not having a screen. Next purchase will be a monitor to take advantage of the 4090 but for now I’m super happy with what I have$3,054.92 -

This is a high end 4090 gaming build that is technically a "Budget 4090 Build" where I use some open box items and used components to save money. I am upgrading from a PC that is 9 years old and wanted to build a new one that will last me another 9 years. This is a gaming rig that can handle almost anything even though I mostly use it for productivity. Still in the process, but I will get back into streaming content online soon playing random games and drawing while hoping to do some game production. My goal is to fully utilize this PC with my 4K monitors. Besides that, it looks cool to look at! What a wonderful journey and it all started from buying the Microcenter Bundle!$4,090.69 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

First build ever using it for gaming and some SolidWorks when I need to work from home. Going to change case to something a little more tasteful and get cablemod stealth wire and extensions and just extra frill to make it look way better. The case is GREAT at keeping the components bathed in cool air, but it's just not the greatest looking case. Thinking about hardline water-cooling for the CPU and GPU that way I can keep the 7900X and 4090 cool and make the build look way cooler (If I do it right that is...) Microcenter makes all other electronics store second grade. Can’t wait till my next build.$3,344.93 -

The only parts reused from my last build are the Sabrent Rocket 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD and the Thermaltake Core P5 case. My previous build was water-cooled, but I am returning to air-cooled for this build. Water-cooling adds weight and the drain and refill maintenance cycle is taxing. My old temps were in the 40°C range under load with occasional peaks up to 50°C. This system runs at 60°C under load with peaks up to 70°C. I view this as sort of a "sleeper." Not a lot of RGB or fluff, but with an AMD 7800X3D CPU and Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, it runs everything as well as can be run .. today. My last build lasted four years before it couldn't run the latest games fluidly. I'm hoping for around that with this one. Check back in four years. (I removed the smoked tempered glass in the pictures because the reflections were irritating.)$3,681.94
