When I was younger I was an avid reader of gaming magazines. It was there I first noticed the "Extreme gaming Rig"... When I was younger I was an avid reader of gaming magazines. It was there I first noticed the "Extreme gaming Rig" giveaways. Despite my best efforts at winning what I thought was the pinnacle gaming experience. I was never able to win one for myself. Years went by and I started building budget systems. They got the job done but I was always anxious to jump into the next project. One day while I was planning out my next build and I saw this ridiculously over the top PC build on youtube. The type with an absurd amount of fans, RGB lighting, and a PSU large enough to power a small city. It brought me back to the lazy days when I was browsing through gaming magazines, signing up for anything with a free entry. I decided I had waited long enough; rearranged my budget and went to work. If I couldn't win that gaming PC I was going to build it. Chungus Ultra was born. At it's core it's a Gaming PC, but I use it's extra power to stand up VMs, RDP for my Apple stuff, and to send/receive phone calls. (I get Imessages on Windows through bluebubble server/app) and to a lesser extent control my Hue smart lighting. The system initially had an RTX 3080, and I recently upgraded to a 4090 Strix OC. I pulled out the old Corsair lighting and replace it with Lian Li Unifans (Corsair RGB cable management is a NIGHTMARE), and I'm looking to replace my DDR5 memory kit. I will be throwing in a 1200w ATX 3.0 PSU once it arrives (yay cable management!). In one of my pics the fans are reversed. I'm aware, I was testing something and they have been fixed.$4,089.22 -
