I love DMZ on my PS5, wanted to try on PC as well. Used the $399 AMD 7700x bundle at Micro Center, got the 7900xt Hellhound as well from there for $749. This saturates my ASUS 1440p gaming monitors with 200+ fps. Even after I did some undervolting on the CPU to bring the gaming temps from 75 to 65 (personal preference). Lian li fan packs to match the blue of the GPU. Asiahorse sleeved cables for blue theme.$1,489.94 -

I will describe my thought process with some of the components and if you have any questions I’d be happy to share my experience. CPU - I chose the Ryzen 5 7600x because my main activity was gaming and I got a great deal on it at $199. I game mostly at 1440p and 4k so it handles everything I throw at it extremely well. Generally when gaming I don’t see temps over 75 C. On cinebench, my score is around 15k. Starfield seems to run a little hotter than other games (even Cyberpunk) CPU Cooler - Thermalright Peerless assassin RGB - seems to work pretty well overall. Make sure it fits in your case, it’s pretty big. RGB lights sync well with all the other lights in the case. Installation was pretty simple overall. GPU - I originally had the rx 6800 but was a little underwhelmed with the performance. Specifically on Elden Ring, my PS5 seemed to play it better. I decided to sell that and upgrade to the 7900 XT and wow, this GPU is awesome. I’m playing Cyberpunk on Ultra settings with no RT and I’m getting around 120 fps on average in 1440p. My TimeSpy score is around 25,000. The only drawback is RayTracing, but personally I don’t really notice a huge difference except the drop in FPS… so RT is not really important to me. I also love the 20 GB of VRAM and feel like that’s going to future proof the build well. Case - H5 Flow - This case was really easy to build in for a first time builder. I really like the GPU fan at the bottom of the case. My GPU always stays pretty cool compared to my CPU. Also the RGB fans are really nice looking. Motherboard - B650 tomahawk - I liked this MB mainly because it had a pre installed IO shield. I also think that the MSI bios is pretty easy to navigate and tweak settings. I made sure to update the BIOS as soon as everything posted. PSU - Corsair 1000w - Works very well. Plenty of headroom for future upgrades.$1,842.46 -

It's my first gaming PC build. It took several months for me to research and buy parts, but with help from PC gaming forum and youtube, I have finally done it! I wanted this build for gaming, so I got a rtx4080 GPU, which took out a huge chunk from my budget. Luckily, this specific GPU model was happen to be on sale when I brought it, saving me around $100. I am very impressed by this build so far. Just need more time to test it and tweak it out.$2,313.95 -

I've been using cheap pre-builts since my last build and finally decided to treat myself again. I wanted to be able to dabble in 3D rendering and get back into gaming. This build should do the trick. The build went fairly smoothly. I only had to uninstall and redo the AIO once, since I wasn't able to get it to reach the CPU the first way I had it installed. It's possible I just had it wrong, but by that point I just wanted it done. :) As for the parts, the power supply may be a bit overkill. I wasn't sure which one to pick so while discussing it with the sales person they suggested this one. Since it will most likely outlast the other parts and wasn't that much more than one of the other options I had selected before heading to the store, I went with the suggested power supply. So far I'm happy with it. My simple "beginner" renders that took an hour or more on my last PC now take a minute or two... and games run smoothly. Temps stay cool, and it's not too loud under normal use. The GPU fans do make some noise under load, but not too bad. I haven't changed anything from the stock settings so far.$2,439.94 -
