I built it to play mainly Maple Story and other games like League of Legends, Valorant,... Also, I was using a prebuilt with a i7-6700 and a 1030 in it. The CPU couldn't handle the multitask I was doing and the frame drops so much, so I decided to buy a new one. This time I decided to build a PC on my own, it was my first time building a PC. Thankfully, Intel 12th gen. was coming out at the time and people were saying how good this gen. was comparing to 11th gen. and Micro Center's low CPUs price really helped me out a lot. It's such a blessing to live in a state that has Micro Center in it. Hope I can grab a 3060 from Micro Center one day, I know they have it but hasn't been lucky enough to grab one.$967.92 -

A complete beast of a PC that I have spent 1.3k on- The Pros: - Runs fast and has DLSS 2.0 Compatibility - Quiet, barely makes a sound - Has easily swapable parts that help with upgrades and the like. The Cons: - Silicon is Expensive :D - No Heatsink on I/O for MoBo, and only one heatsink for 2nd NVME Slot (No surprise there) - Will have to upgrade in 5 years or so What is it used for? - Content Creation, more specifically 1080p Video Editing and the like - Gaming, and lots of it thanks to the graphics it can pull off - Just messing around and whatever I need it to do. The Core i5 pulls it's weight by the ton, I've never used something this fast before. Advice- I actually got my Monitor from Costco, it's only 199.99 and runs like a dream. Also, be careful with the case screws, if you don't get them right the first time putting in your GPU will be a nightmare. Also, for GPUs, if you intend on getting an EVGA brand one look for their B-stock, it often eliminates anywhere from 30-100 dollars off their cards ;) Overall, happy with my first build and would 10/10 Recommend$1,041.91 -

I haven't really gamed much in the past. However, recently I've been into story-ish type games, like Jedi Fallen Order, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Guardians of the Galaxy, but I've also enjoyed puzzle games as well like The Talos Principle and Portal 2. I also enjoyed Control, even if I played it with the sound off to keep it less creepy :) If you noticed in the build, there isn't a graphics card... I upgraded to this desktop from a laptop with a 1650Ti, but have been using GeForce Now to play games in the meantime until graphics cards become available/more reasonable in price. Hopefully I don't run out of fun things to play in the meantime... In hindsight, I may have gone a bit overkill with a 12600k/Z690/D15s build... time will tell. Thankfully, I stalked and bought almost everything on sale so hopefully didn't overpay way too much. Eventually, I might pick up a small/tasteful amount of RGB, but I'm a little leery of losing performance/having lags due to RGB software as I've heard horror stories.$1,088.85 -

My first build, and her first build and PC! I've been out of the game for some time (to date myself, it's been since early 2000s when I last seriously considered doing my own build), and had no idea how both easy (so much accessible info) and hard (getting a GPU was no joke) it had gotten. My niece mostly plays Genshin Impact and Roblox, so she didn't need a highly spec'ed machine, but I wanted something she could easily expand on later if desired. I started with deciding it'd be an Intel build, and knowing she wanted an all-white build with RGBs galore, just went from there. Chris from the Microcenter in Tustin was really helpful to quickly bring me up to speed and let me know what constraints I had with the CPU and case I had in mind. I learned in the middle of building that the FE edition GPU had a weird 12-to-8 pin adapter, so the matching strimer cable I bought was of no use. It might be something I consider buying/making later if possible.$1,264.91 -
