Before deciding to update to a better pc, I needed to figure out what to do with my first gaming computer. I transformed it to a dedicated server hosting machine that utilizes TrueNas and virtualization to deliver on my video game server hosting needs. With this simple setup, I can host Rust, Mincraft, and many other servers. Although my GPU is not utilized, I still have it attached in case I want to utilize it for rendering gameplay videos remotely.$1,404.96 -

I built this gaming rig in order to work with my son who is really into computers now. We built in a Thermaltake Tower 900 case using an ASUS AMD AM4 ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) with a 3950X CPU. We are running a FTW3 Ultra 2080 Ti with an custom EKWB. Both CPU and GPU are piped into a custom loop with a 480mm EKWB radiator, fittings, D-5 pump, clear tubing and EKWB acid green fluid for the life blood. There are a total of 11 RGB fans mounted in the case. There is 2TB of Gen 4 M.2 storage, 1 TB of Gen 3 M.2 storage, and 2TB of storage on a 7200RPM standard hard drive. We acquired all of the pieces over several months and began final assembly in April this year and completed the build in around a week in our spare time. It was a lot of fun building this and having my son (who is a senior this year) assisting on the build. It games like a champ without ever getting warmer then mid 70C. I play Control, BF-5, Red Dead 2, Overwatch, and multiple other games whenever I have the chance. Really looking forward to the reviews on the new 30 series cards! I also have a second Intel build which is in desperate need of a 30 series GPU. It is a 9900K on an Aorus Xtreme MOBO, built inside of the new White NZXT 710I case. It currently has a leftover emergency use only 1050 Ti in it and it is not happy, ;-)$1,597.95 -

Mainly stuck with all ASUS components with the exception of the GPU as I really like the EVGA aesthetics for the 3090. I could have easily went with a Asus Strix 3090. I mainly play FFXIV and this build is able to handle that and most of the other games I play on it. I am using a 27" 4k OLED monitor and everything looks great.$2,234.95 -

I'm a videographer with the State Department and have always used either an iMac or Mac Pro for editing in Premiere and AfterEffects. After experiencing a forced reboot to Mojave because of driver incompatibility with Catalina, I decided I needed more control and frankly power. So I converted to PC. Since my primary workflow is in Premiere I decided to go with the Ryzen 9 3950X paired with an RTX 2060 Super SC Ultra 8gb. Since I usually travel for work (pre-COVID) I also needed something portable. Hence choosing the Sliger SM580. At 15.8 liters it's pretty compact and easy to transport when I need my workstation mobile. MOBO is a Gigabyte B550 I AORUS PRO AX, with Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200, SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB, Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 on the back. PSU is a Seasonic FOCUS SGX-650, 650W 80+, and to keep things cool I'm using the NZXT Kraken X63. OC is 4.35 at 1.15v with XMP enabled (Mem & FCLK @1600) This is my first build and fortunately, it has been put to work as quickly as I could get it running! Looking forward to maybe trying to go smaller... ;)$2,294.91 -

I completed it in a day by watching and building along with YouTube videos. I built this PC mainly for gaming and sometimes for work. I am currently playing Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on this PC and this PC handled them well. No lag or ghosting, and perfectly smooth graphics.$2,317.94 -

I do many things with a pc(Play Games, Run LLMs, Write Code, ETC,)and I got sick of my old laptop(i5-10300H, GTX 1650 TI mobile, 8gb DDR4 2933mhz.) So I decided to build a brand new powerhouse, in which I am writing this right now. Now that I have built my own rig at this point, time to give you some advice. First and foremost, if you want the absolute best PTP(Price To Performance)PLEASE do not give in to any of those prebuilt pcs, they are built and sold for a profit(which I, in all means respect.)Like I got a 4070 TI Super and Ryzen 9 7950x3d, With the amount that I spent I could only get an i9-13900kf and 4070 TI from NZXT and from Build Redux I could only get a 4070 TI Super and 7950x with only 16gb ram(in NZXT and custom I got 32gb). And for my 2nd piece of advice, enjoy the build expierience you know, have fun.$2,572.91
