This pc has served me well over the years and has received numerous upgrades since its inception. I play a lot of CS2 so I have upgraded the ram to 32 gb to improve my 1% lows. It’s pretty remarkable that this old 1070TI can still handle pretty much anything I throw at it, which is why I continue to support NVIDIA even in troubling times.$590.95 -

This PC was put together around the Intel i5 12600kf and Intel Arc A770 Bundle from Microcenter. The total cost for this PC was super impressive given the performance it was putting out. I am able to play demanding games like Flight simulator with stable performance using DX12. I posted some synthetic benchmark scores in the images for reference if anyone is considering getting the A770. If most of the games you play are newer DX12 titles then the A770 is legit. The Powerspec PSU and Teamgroup RAM were also great deals that really completed this build. It will be used for gaming as well as a general purpose workstation PC with its 10 core i5.$890.94 -

The laptop I used during my school years could only handle games such as CS:GO and Osu. With this pc I hope to play more demanding games such as Cyberpunk as well as some photo and video editing. I was able to get this system around the $1000 mark due to the 12900k bundle that Micro Center offered. I didn't include an ssd in the parts list because I pulled it from my laptop. Babyboy Babyboy

My last rig must had gotten damaged pins on the mobo. Either way it motivated and scared me into not only getting another rig but making one with thermals as the top priority. Now I wish I had more money at the time for a beefier mobo when I had bought this but the combo is beautiful. Works better than expected. I call this build babyboy because building it woke me up even more. It was the the last push to my evolution as a dweeb. My goals become easier to follow. Building motivated me into building more. To not feel like going in my pc is daunting. It took a depressed and nearly checked out of life veteran and turned him into the kid that didn't worry about the worst life has to throw at them. Sorry anyway. Baby boy has made me dig deeper into my studying as I want to make my own Aio for a pc and even delve into engineering because I love the void that creation brings. It robs me of negative focus and gives me back passion. My PC's were always powerful and the trend continues. I am getting familiar with 3d software, mainly unreal. Working on a hard scifi novel that I might just pass to my friend to make into a video game. He loved the idea he will be graduating for programming soon. My gift to him is going to be a high powered machine. For all of his programing needs a rig on par or better than anything i can own. The things I love for the people I love. Babyboy Harkens me back to a time where I was a dorky a** black kid growing up in harlem getting bullied for "acting white" 😪 , up into my time in the infantry and even beyond where constantly get targeted for the same thing by more so the opposite of my childhood bully types. (Sorry for being vague). As you can maybe tell I think way too much. I spend alot of time in chatrooms not because I like them anymore. It's because I can generate heat better than Dominick Mysterio when I'm online. I have a Army of people who hate me on the internet and it's honestly how I get better now n days. I constantly have people discouraging me, trying to drag me down, dehumanize me, feels like the military but with folks I can't punch in the face. That oddly enough has been my source of fuel. People telling. Me I'm worthless and can't. LOL For me it's the best fuel ever. Over the course of two years my aptitude for math, science, has skyrocketed, I have built a reputation in some of the most toxic circles you can find online as a guy you should hate for no good reason at all. I love it. Computers have alot to do with this. This was what I thought about while doing my build. You get where I'm going? This experience was therapeutic for me and eye opening into who I am as a human. Babyboy helped freed a chained man. In a sense by giving me even more confidence to tackle things. For a build that was suppose to replace my i9 9900k rig. It did more than that. It set up another stage of metamorphosis. The recluse in me let's a bit too much out at times : [ sorry. As for the build. It was meant for general use. But if you seen my setup you would maybe understand i use it for much more, such as development. C++ and python coding, btw my first ever code written was program that identified your compiler written in c++, my second was a gpt 2 based learning model (in python)that same night. Now I didnt have AI help me with the second code, but still I was pretty happy with myself. I would like to animate and make a game with my best friend from those times of me getting bullied as a kid. A rpg game based in hard science. Something that gives off "three body problem" vibes. I also need to learn how to design prototypes. Like maybe some thing for the cooler I want to make. For example. 32 gb of ram even at ddr5 i feel limited in unreal engine. So I will go for possibly 128 gb over time. So a 64gb kit is in my future, then another. Next month I'm getting a 4 tb m.2 for Unreal engine alone and another for productivity needs. I have a 4 tb system now. As far as what I could have done differently. I should have gotten the h9 elite case as it has rgb fans and a controller. But pretty much the same exact case I have. I'm gonna also repair my old mobo if possible and if I can do it right, my nephew who is studying computer science but using a idohan spud will have a power relic of the 9th gen coming his way. I loved what this build did for me. It was more than just a pc build. It was as much a window or veiwport into myself, just as this summary of the build experience was. Sorry for taking that so far. I don't know how to not go 100% at times. Sorry for any typos and such. Big hands, small phone, you know the deal. I'll try to edit if possible. THANKS 😊$971.95 -

I do programming during the day and then... also during the day... some gaming on the side. Right now I'm playing Persona 5 Royal through the Game Pass service. Games like that don't really require a gpu any fancier than my 6650 XT. The last time I built a desktop pc a few years ago, all the popular with cases were all about tembered glass + rgb. My first desktop PC was an insanely overpriced Alienware prebuilt (please don't crucify me, I was 12) that I got when I was in middle school. It was extremely heavy, had terrible airflow, and generally gave me a whole heap of issues during the like 7.5 years that I had it. Even though it was clunky, I'll always love my GTX 1070 for lasting so long and giving me many unforgettable gaming memories, from the Halo series, to Metro, to Resident Evil. Needless to say, I was long overdue for an upgrade, and with working part-time in college I was able to finally build my first PC and it was a blast. I used to primarily play older games like around 2012 to before, always at 1080p 60hz max. For this build I wanted to make the jump to 2K or 1440p and shoot for a higher refresh rate at at least the 144hz mark. I also wanted water cooling and plenty of fans that I could control to optimize airflow, without having rainbow vomit RBG everywhere (although I see and respect everyone's colorful builds). I've been wanting to build my own PC for years, but after buying the Dead Space remake on steam and having it be borderline unplayable on the lowest settings, I knew it was time for an upgrade. I've stress tested my build with Dead Space, RDR2, GTA V, Metro Exodus, No Man's Sky, and even some Half Life Alyx and couldn't be happier with my target performance. Having started with a 500GB HDD in middle school and eventually maturing into a digital hoarder, I was super happy knowing I could take advantage of my MOBOs 3 M.2 SSD slots, and the added SSD and HDD bracket hidden in the back of my case. Microcenter's bundles made building my PC a breeze, and the only thing I did have trouble on was my GPU. I know there's a lot of discourse regarding Nvidia's 4000 series and their VRAM, but with the market stabilizing a bit after everything, I felt glad at the end of the day with my choice. Performance wise I couldn't be happier. Super fast bootup and processing times, access to DLSS and ray tracing, and an insane boost in quality and frames compared to my old 1070 make using this PC night and day. I picked up a 1440p 165Hz LG UltraGear monitor and WOW; for the price I spent (which was way less than I spent on my prebuilt back then) the performance was great. I feel set for the foreseeable future, besides replacing my AIO in 5 years or inevitably buying more storage and drives. Besides that, there's not much else. The case and build went really smoothly, and I did get confused at some parts but I worked it out (such as forgetting to remove the plastic sticker on my CPU cooler...or not removing the grate my AIO radiator attached to for easier screwing). Overall I'm very happy, and using an unlocked "k" intel CPU finally let's me enable XMP and get the most out of my RAM (6000MHz!).$1,264.94 -

I've been trying to convince him to replace his 2016 16 inch Macbook Pro, but he really held off on the upgrade for a while. But, after trying to use the Macbook for heavy 4k video editing tasks in Final-Cut he realized that the laptop wouldn't cut it. So that was the very beginning of this ongoing project of a computer. The finished result is what you see here and it's probably one of the most challenging computers I have ever built. This was mainly because of the software situation, I underestimated the work you put in to get MacOS Ventura installed on a non Mac computer. But I am happy to say that it is incredibly stable (as long as he doesn't mess with it) and performs similarly to a $6000 Mac Pro. For the parts I opted for the i9 12900k because it was a huge upgrade from the 4 core i7 in his laptop, and it came in the best value (in my opinion) micro center bundle with the i9 motherboard and ram for only $400. I also went for an all Noctua cooling setup due to the quality, durability, longevity and most importantly whisper quiet operation as he does music production/recording in the same room as this beast. I also went for two separate 1tb drives to ensure ease of use and compatibility with a dual boot system. The 6800 from MSI was my first choice due to it's compatibility with Hackintosh and value for money when I bought it. I chose The Fractal North because my dad enjoys woodworking when he has the time, and it also has an absolutely incredibly professional yet unique look to it. The PC boots up to a boot menu where you can select which OS you are using (refer to image 18). And boots up relatively quick for a hackintosh (around 40 seconds). Everything in macos works except wifi and bluetooth at the moment, since his current wifi/bluetooth card is unsupported in macos. So we will likely add a broadcom chip which should be compatible out of the box with hackintosh (but you never know). I will update the part list if I add the chip and it works. My dad was extremely happy with the upgrade and I am glad that he is. There were many hurdles to overcome when troubleshooting issues and bugs, but after installing the correct Kexts and finalizing bios settings it was ready to go. I hope you all enjoy the build as much as we did, it's definitely one of my favorite builds I have ever put together.$1,309.92 -

I have always wanted to build my own gaming PC but never had the budget to get specifically what I wanted. But now I was able to save up enough and did a bunch of research on the specs and prices I was looking for and got exactly what I needed for my ideal gaming PC. I mainly want to be able to playing games at ultra graphics and high FPS and knowing that GTA 6 is on its way, I know I'm gonna need something really powerful if I wanna run it that way. I like a wide range of games like 3rd and 1st person shooters and even games like Sims or Planet Zoo or Age of Empires. Even Fifa and some racing games as well. I also use the PC for video editing. Not super high end hollywood crazy stuff but yeah. Just random home vids, I'm still learning. Just got DaVinci Resolve.$1,315.94 -

The reason I built this computer is because I wanted my brother needed one, and I wanted to make sure the components were as efficient as possible in order for the computer to last multiple years without upgrades. I used a B660m max mortar with a 12400 to BCLK overclock the cpu to a stable, but way better cpu. The 4070 is one of the best value buys for the 40 series, and should last a long time. Lastly, the ram is CL18 3600mhz; kinda slow, but it’ll get the job done. The game he mostly plays is League of Legends, which this build is way overkill for, but if he decides he wants to play more intense games, this build be able to handle anything at 1440p.$1,320.83 -

This build is the result of many, many case swaps and hardware changes due to my interests varying over time. I started off with the NR200P as my first SFF build, and I wanted to go smaller. I then swapped to the NZXT H1 due to its great price with how much you're getting. While I liked the size of the H1, I felt the need to switch back to the NR200P due to cooling being a limiting factor. After that, I managed to get a Meshlicious for free, and I swapped to it for a good while. I then swapped to a mid-tower build momentarily due to me getting some awesome deals for hardware, but in the end, I much prefer smaller builds. What prompted the switch from ATX is me getting an NCase M1 V6.1 for under $150. While the M1 is the smallest case I've owned up to this point, I wanted smaller. It was then that I managed to buy a black Dan A4 H20 with the Gen4 riser for just $80. That is what I'm settling with for some time. This is very much a gaming rig, but I also want it to be quiet to the point where I can hardly hear it. The new EK Nucleus 240mm AIO serves just that. It's a great cooler, but I do occasionally hear the pump for whatever reason. The fans are also relatively quiet, so I'm satisfied with noise. I've moved through several GPUs already, hoping that I'd settle with one. At the end, I'm using the Midnight Black Reference RX 6800XT. I definitely plan on upgrading to the 13600K so I can fully utilize the ram's speed. As for the games I play, it simply depends on what I feel like playing. Sometimes, I'll play FPS games, and other times I'll be playing more hard to run but "casual" games such as Doom Eternal, God of War, and the Spider-Man games.$1,377.00 -

Keeping things updated with minimal RGB lighting and plenty of room for upgrades later like m.2, ssd, and ram. With the micro center promotion, i went with i5 12600k and paired it with z690-plus tuf wifi d4, radeon 6950 xt reference card (best stealth looking card in black). I got the big air cooler, deepcool ak620, so if i wanted to overclock the cpu it will be plenty to handle. Top that up with gskill ripjaws ddr4-3200 32gb, wd sn770 1tb and corsair rx850x. The lian li 216 case has plenty of room, best air flow with the 2 160mm fans in the front and the best cable management system. I got all the cables tied up without using a single zip-tie. Overall i believe this is the best bang for your bucks pc build.$1,387.92 -

The first picture shows the outside, right after I built it. The second picture shows the inside, after I switched out the power cables for the GPU to make it cleaner.
