This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

A complete beast of a PC that I have spent 1.3k on- The Pros: - Runs fast and has DLSS 2.0 Compatibility - Quiet, barely makes a sound - Has easily swapable parts that help with upgrades and the like. The Cons: - Silicon is Expensive :D - No Heatsink on I/O for MoBo, and only one heatsink for 2nd NVME Slot (No surprise there) - Will have to upgrade in 5 years or so What is it used for? - Content Creation, more specifically 1080p Video Editing and the like - Gaming, and lots of it thanks to the graphics it can pull off - Just messing around and whatever I need it to do. The Core i5 pulls it's weight by the ton, I've never used something this fast before. Advice- I actually got my Monitor from Costco, it's only 199.99 and runs like a dream. Also, be careful with the case screws, if you don't get them right the first time putting in your GPU will be a nightmare. Also, for GPUs, if you intend on getting an EVGA brand one look for their B-stock, it often eliminates anywhere from 30-100 dollars off their cards ;) Overall, happy with my first build and would 10/10 Recommend$1,041.91 -

I do programming during the day and then... also during the day... some gaming on the side. Right now I'm playing Persona 5 Royal through the Game Pass service. Games like that don't really require a gpu any fancier than my 6650 XT. The last time I built a desktop pc a few years ago, all the popular with cases were all about tembered glass + rgb. Now, it looks like the popular direction in which cases are going is to feature mesh intake. It makes sense that mesh would be better for airflow, so I decided to join onboard this bandwagon.$1,226.91
