I recently put together this pc with some spare parts I had after I upgraded my main pc. The purpose of this build is to use it in my living room as a TV streaming device and some minor gaming. For processor I used my old ryzen 7 2700 with a wraith prism, motherboard is my old asus x470 prime, gpu is a new powercolor red devil rx 580 8gb, storage is Inland 500gb m.2, power supply is evga 600w bronze, case is maingear vibe, ram is t-force 16gb 3200mhz and fans are random what I could find laying around. I also added a pcie wifi/Bluetooth antenna, that way I don't have to run an ethernet cable from my modem to my living room.

This computer was built when I wanted to upgrade from my 2014 laptop so that I could get better performance in Photoshop and start to experience games the way they were intended. I was also hopeful it would help me do college work faster (I'm a computer engineering major!) and I was getting back into programming at the time. It was really exciting to build and joyous to see everyday tasks like launching programs being unimaginably fast, mainly thanks to that 970 EVO SSD! So yeah, I am a very mixed user of my computer so I need it to do a decent job at all kinds of tasks. If you're interested, I specifically: Play games: Mainly what I can do with friends, like Fall Guys, Among Us, Fortnite, Tabletop Simulator, Terraria, GTA V, including browser games like Jackbox and JKLM and Bonk and Sporcle, and other games I can enjoy alone like Celeste, Portal 2 (though I still have simultaneous singleplayer voice calls with friends for those too). Program and write code: I started with Python and then learned JavaScript to become a web developer, and am now working through learning Rust and re-establishing fundamental knowledge about data structures and algorithms that I was lacking before, and am going even deeper into concurrency. The description hint says to mention what projects we're involved with, so if it's okay to post my social profile, you can find me on GitHub as @babichjacob where I primarily publish tools for working with the Svelte web framework. Though less accessible, I also have code from my home automation and security system built on Home Assistant on there, in addition to other random learning experience repositories. Do some artistic stuff: I used to be more into graphic design with Photoshop, but have moved to doing web design as part of web development. I would love to see myself get back into graphic design if my computer is better able to handle it after upgrades. 3D modeling and rendering would also be something I could get into from that, so I'm excited. The upgrades I have lined up right now are for the CPU (currently Ryzen 5 2600 as you'll see in the parts list below) and graphics card (RX 580 8 GB). For those, I think I'm going to get a Ryzen 5 5600 from Micro Center because it looks like it'll be a great ~40% speedup and stay within my budget (not needing a separate big cooler either!). I'm still in the middle stages of researching a graphics card to upgrade to, but it seems like a RX 6600 XT or 6650 XT will be excellent upgrades that I can still afford. What's motivated me to upgrade these parts is that they may not be keeping up with latest games (typically having lag spikes and sometimes crashing) or with my expanding demands from my computer (complex programs having longer compilation times — I've been spending 2022 learning Rust!). My first attempt to solve these problems and make my computer work better for me was to upgrade the RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB (and add some RGB for more performance!), but it looks like there is more to be done. Thank you for reading about and checking out my build!

The purpose on why I built this PC/Setup, was because I needed something to use for school especially because of the virus that going on in the air. I also built it so that I could just have my own space in the house that I could relax in. Games I usually play are, Rainbow Six Siege, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Fall Guys, and Counter Strike. I can usually run two things at once with the help of the two Asus Monitors that I use. I usually have discord on monitor 1 and my game running on monitor 2. This setup is also great for watching things like Netflix or YouTube. I have flags that separate down the part of the basement where I have my so called man cave. Not to mention I have to have a 50 foot Ethernet cord that runs from the computer to a storage room that's also in the basement, and from there it runs up through the ceiling directing into the internet router of the house. I love detail and that's why i have so many things on my walls surrounding the setup just so it does not look so empty. Using things like flags, picture frames, basketball jerseys, scarves, hand drawn Mario, and my favorite, a diamond sword.

I mostly play shooter games like Battlefield 5 and Rainbow 6: Siege. As my first ever PC built as a 15 year old, Snowstorm stands his place in the gaming area. Really awesome machine for 1080p gaming. Later on I would like to get an AIO cooler for my Processor but I'll have to work for it quite a lot. In the future, I would also like to change the motherboard from B350 to B550 as well as the graphics card to and RTX one and also get an m.2 ssd I always see how amazingly fast an m.2 is but id like to get one of those as well. I would really l like to experience Ray Tracing in a game like Battlefield 5. As I mentioned earlier this is my first every build. I only watched tutorial videos and that's all. I am really happy with all the things I could find in Micro center a while back because if you ask me, best place ever like no joke! As a 15 year old buy going into his sophomore year in High School, I am really PC enthusiast. I love everything about computers. Not so long ago I built a PC for my brother and I enjoyed every second of building that PC even though the parts for that build was low end. But you know a PC is a PC no matter what. Take care everyone and stay safe :)

I was running on a 10 year old hp computer that could barely run games over 50 fps. I decided it was time for a upgrade without breaking the bank, and still could end up lasting for give or take 5-7 years. This computer is for those looking for price to performance and those who are used to the AMD environment. Some of these parts I have used in this setup are used components such as the motherboard which I got for around 80 dollars and the cpu which I got for $160 used. NOTE: as there is oddly no cpu water cooling kits option, here is the model (Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360L) which is $120 dollars.

I have always wanted to build my own gaming PC but never had the budget to get specifically what I wanted. But now I was able to save up enough and did a bunch of research on the specs and prices I was looking for and got exactly what I needed for my ideal gaming PC. I mainly want to be able to playing games at ultra graphics and high FPS and knowing that GTA 6 is on its way, I know I'm gonna need something really powerful if I wanna run it that way. I like a wide range of games like 3rd and 1st person shooters and even games like Sims or Planet Zoo or Age of Empires. Even Fifa and some racing games as well. I also use the PC for video editing. Not super high end hollywood crazy stuff but yeah. Just random home vids, I'm still learning. Just got DaVinci Resolve.

Keeping things updated with minimal RGB lighting and plenty of room for upgrades later like m.2, ssd, and ram. With the micro center promotion, i went with i5 12600k and paired it with z690-plus tuf wifi d4, radeon 6950 xt reference card (best stealth looking card in black). I got the big air cooler, deepcool ak620, so if i wanted to overclock the cpu it will be plenty to handle. Top that up with gskill ripjaws ddr4-3200 32gb, wd sn770 1tb and corsair rx850x. The lian li 216 case has plenty of room, best air flow with the 2 160mm fans in the front and the best cable management system. I got all the cables tied up without using a single zip-tie. Overall i believe this is the best bang for your bucks pc build.

This build is specifically designed for 1440p High FPS on High to Max settings. I decided that Ray-Tracing was a feature I didn't really care for or notice even when it was on. I didn't want to break the bank either. I started with absolutely nothing not even a mouse and keyboard. So that will skew the price a little higher. But if you're already equipped and just going for a new PC build this one is great! Without the monitor but including Windows license and the usb to update the bios you're looking at about $1550.00. NOTE - The motherboard, processor, and first 16GB of ram was in a bundle. The graphics card was on sale for 649 and included a 50 dollar discount when purchased with any processor. Your price may vary depending on the bundles available along with any sales going on. Honestly this may not be the highest end equipment, but spending any more will result in diminishing returns. You could get an RTX 4080 or whatever but unless your going for ray tracing we're talking about getting 10 to 20 more frames more than the 140 to 170 for AAA games for 270 to 290 for e-sports games at high/max settings than your already getting. It's just not worth it in my eyes. This, in my eyes, is just the perfect build.

I'm a TikTok & Amazon Content Creator where I review products on Amazon and post tech and PC content to TikTok. I'm slowly trying to build my tech audience up and up to the point where I am the king of all custom-PC's and PC modding. My goal with TikTok is for people to see me make the most unique PC builds anyone has ever seen. I built this PC as the first stepping stone in that unique aspect. I play a wide variety of single player games and like games with nice graphics so they are often demanding. Recent games I played include Horizon Zero Dawn, Plague Tale Requiem, and Witcher 3. I play on a 1440p high refresh rate monitor and the 6900 XT has had no trouble delivering 100+ for basically every game I played. It was a nice upgrade over my RTX 3070 although I do miss some of the Nvidia features like DLSS. The 6900 XT is a lot faster though and has 16 GB of VRAM. It even does pretty well in ray traced games. The 13700k is a really powerful CPU probably even overkill for gaming. However it wasn't much more than the 13600k and is helpful on the rare occasions I do rendering or certain data analytics that can utilize a lot of cores/threads. I also really like the Lian LI 205 mesh case I was able to get open box at Micro Center. The RGB fans are nice and it has great airflow. I also like that its not too large, but still able to fit most GPUs. Most of the other parts are standard although I do wish I waited before getting a 4 TB SSD. Prices are much lower now than they were last year.
