This is a gaming PC I built for a friend that I ended up keeping as a side rig mainly when friends visit or for other family members to do office work. I tried to obtain parts as cheaply as possible and took advantage of Microcenter's great open box deals. Got really lucky that I had upgraded my GPU before the pandemic situation.

This build is for mainly gaming at 1080p, I was glad to get an open box model of the 4060 ti as that helped keep me within an acceptable budget, so far the machine has been snappy and has ran games like fortnite, palworld, and minecraft really well.

I built this gaming, streaming, and YouTube pc on a budget of 900 dollars. I just turned 13 and this is what I picked out for my birthday. I built this system because now I am the legal age to stream and make content. In the future I plan to stream games like Fortnite, c-o-d, Warzone, Minecraft, and Valorant to make people happy. I have got all of my content platforms up and ready with my chosen name of NotLuqy. I entered this contest because I feel that this is a good chance to show people my creation and somehow if I win this will help me buy the streaming gear needed to make my content more professional. If I could change one thing about this build it would be to put more white in it. I feel that just the ram being white is not enough for my black and white system.

In the bustling town where I grew up, there weren't many options for computer enthusiasts like me. Sure, there were a handful of small computer shops scattered around, each offering a mishmash of components, but none could compare to the tech haven that is Microcenter. My journey into the world of building PCs began amidst these humble surroundings. Armed with determination and a modest budget, I scoured the shelves of these local stores, piecing together my first rig. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine—a testament to my budding passion for all things tech. As I tinkered with my creation, learning the ins and outs of hardware assembly, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more out there, something beyond the limitations of my small town's offerings. That something turned out to be Microcenter. The first time I set foot in that gleaming megastore, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Row upon row of pristine components stretched out before me, gleaming under the fluorescent lights. It was a paradise for any PC enthusiast, with shelves stocked high with the latest processors, graphics cards, and peripherals. But it wasn't just the sheer variety of products that captivated me—it was the expertise of the staff. Unlike the often clueless employees at the local shops, the Microcenter team were true professionals, eager to share their knowledge and offer advice on even the most obscure tech questions. Armed with the resources of Microcenter and the guidance of its knowledgeable staff, I embarked on my next build with newfound confidence. Gone were the days of settling for "okay" parts; now, I had access to the best of the best. With their help, I carefully selected each component, ensuring that my new rig would be a masterpiece of performance and reliability. As I sat back and admired my completed build, I couldn't help but marvel at how far I'd come. From humble beginnings in those small-town computer shops to the pinnacle of PC building excellence at Microcenter, my journey had been nothing short of extraordinary. And as I powered up my new rig for the first time, I knew that the best was yet to come. At its core lay the beating heart of my creation, the Intel i7 8700k, a processor as reliable as it was powerful. With its six cores and twelve threads, it was the engine that drove my digital adventures, powering through the most demanding of tasks with ease. Surrounding it, like loyal soldiers standing guard, were 32GB of RAM, a veritable army of memory, ready to tackle any challenge I threw their way. And nestled snugly within the belly of the beast was a lightning-fast 1TB SSD, its silent whispers promising swift load times and snappy system responsiveness. But it was the crown jewel of my rig—the RTX 2070 SUPER GPU—that truly set it apart. With its ray-tracing prowess and blistering rendering speeds, it transformed every pixel into a masterpiece, bringing my virtual worlds to life with unparalleled beauty and realism. Together, we embarked on a journey unlike any other, a journey into the heart of gaming and streaming glory. From the darkest dungeons to the farthest reaches of outer space, we traversed virtual landscapes with skill and determination, our every triumph and defeat broadcast to an eager audience of fellow adventurers. But it wasn't just about the games—it was about the connection. With my powerful rig, I streamed in crystal-clear HD, my every word and gesture captured with stunning clarity. And as I interacted with my viewers, sharing stories and swapping strategies, I felt a sense of camaraderie unlike anything I'd ever known.

I have always wanted to make a themed build around star wars! This is my first custom build and I am pretty satisfied with it. It has a ryzen 1700x, 32GB of GDDR4 2666, RTX 2070 super, asus crosshair vi hero, and all RGB is Corsair. I play all different types of games as of right now I am on that apex grind. I am hoping to upgrade my CPU when the new ryzen 4 comes out and the RTX 3000 series.

This gaming PC was created with some help from Microcenter who sponsored a project for us, the Toastybros, to head out to the Sharonville Microcenter and build a PC with a max budget of $1,000. We built this around the time Microcenter was having a deal on the Ryzen 7 2700x where it was only $130. Insane value. The best part is, once we built this PC in the back of the Microcenter, we found a lucky random shopper to give this PC to for free. We love to give back, and if you would like to see the video we made, check it out here! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxsQN4TRDDo&t=2s

This story goes back to 2019 when I had a constantly revolving wish list of parts for most of the year as my PC at the time was a budget build from 2014 with a GTX 650 and i3 3rd gen. Gaming wasnt horrible as long as i played on medium to low settings or alternatively played on lower resolutions. Eventually I got tired of it and after graduating college and working a year or two I decided it was time to upgrade. Febuary 2nd 2020, I decide to pull the trigger and made an afternoon trip to MicroCenter and came back with this $1000 build and assembled it before dinner. I added an M.2 SSD as well from amazon to the build. This computer is easily 10 times better than the former one. Across multiple seasonal Steam sales i had bought the Borderlands series, the Bioshock series, the Witcher series, Dishonored 1 and 2, and the Darksouls series but never got to enjoy lag free gaming experience... until now! This gaming build coupled with a 144hz Freesync monitor has changed everything to say the least. I did my best to OC as much as I could but I was unable to get past 3200mhz ram speed on my 3666mhz DIMMs and a CPU clock of 4ghz. If i had more budget i would have gone with 4 channel ram setup and a AIO cooler to avoid the heating up my room so much. Regardless, now I can finally play Minecraft with fancy graphics in peace once and for all.
