Played on a gaming laptop until it broke, so I decided to build my own computer for school and game. Was originally going to get a 5600X3D bundle to save money. I figured that I should just spend a bit more money for the 7700x to have AM5 instead of AM4 for future proofing.$889.94 -

This project was based around deal hunting during Black Friday week in November 2023. My target for performance was midrange gaming but I also wanted to be somewhat future-proof. Because more and more games are starting to require a bloated amount of VRAM to run well, I thought it was best to get a video card with more than 8gb. So that narrowed things down to the 12gb 6700xt that was a solid price on black friday at microcenter.$989.93 -

I play mostly action role-play games, such as Elden Ring, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This setup is perfect for these types of games. I can turn the graphic visual all the way up without lagging out which provides more immersion during the gameplay. The PC build process and setup went very smoothly, with no problem with Windows and driver installation. I am very pleased with the result.$1,809.95 -

The 7600X can run a little hot at times but from what I've read that's normal and its not uncommon to see 95c. Typical gaming temps average 60-75c. Idles around 35-40c depending on ambient temp. The 4070ti Gaming x Trio is great, last card was the 3060ti Gaming z Trio and its a nice upgrade. The Gaming Trio cards are solid, think it'd be hard to find any issues with them. 0% fan option and low temps when gaming, 40-65c. Chose the motherboard because it was one of the cheaper ATX AM5 boards with 2 m.2 slots. All I can say really. WiFi is a nice extra. RAM is RAM very nice B) think I might add another 32GB at some point. The AIO seems decent enough. First time having one in a build. Really like the case, plenty of space inside for any future upgrades and the stock fans are pretty nice, especially the front 2 200mm ones. Quiet and provide a lot of airflow with decent RGB. Only downside I've found so far is the long AM5 boot times. Info was a little blurry but from what I've read it's to do with the RAM and should improve over time but we'll see. Not a major issue. Overall happy with the build. Gives me a platform for future AM5 upgrades.$1,854.91 -

My original budget was under $1k. I ended up with a PC almost twice the original budget. But it was all worth it. I am hoping to get a good 7 years out of this PC, so it averages out to be pretty cheap. This build sports a top-of-the-line R7 CPU, an RTX 4070 TI GPU, and 32GB RAM. It's capable of running any game in 4K resolution smoothly. And the gaming experience is far better than any console.$1,854.93 -

It performs excellent in most the games I play (mainly Minecraft with lots of shaders and TF2). The temperatures are pretty good as well, happy with that. Building my first pc has given me a lot of knowledge about hardware and was a really fun experience. Overall, it was a pretty good idea to build my own computer and make the switch from a crappy best buy prebuilt.$2,034.91 -

Purpose of the Build: My build is geared towards an immersive gaming experience. With a focus on playing games like Apex, COD, and Assassin's Creed, I aimed to create a powerful rig that delivers exceptional performance for my gaming preferences. Gaming Preferences: I'm a fan of intense and action-packed games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and the engaging narratives of Assassin's Creed. The build is tailored to handle these games seamlessly, providing a visually stunning and responsive gaming environment. Content Creation and Coding: While my primary use is gaming, I also dabble in coding during my free time. The build, with its robust specifications, ensures smooth coding sessions and fast compilation times. Future Upgrades: Currently, I find my build more than capable for my gaming and coding needs, so there are no immediate plans for future upgrades. The current configuration meets my requirements effectively. Hindsight Considerations: In hindsight, I might have opted for a 360 AIO cooling solution, but this would have required a larger case. If I were to revisit my choices, the Corsair 5000D would have been my top pick for a case that accommodates a 360 AIO while providing ample space for future expansions.$2,149.91 -

This is my brand new gaming PC that I finally got time to assemble together. I got most of the parts at a discount from last month's holiday sale. The total came out to around $1900. Built in early 2023 when AM5 was fairly new and used it for general purpose and gaming. After the computer was built, I was having a terrible time getting the computer to boot due to AM5 being new and DDR5 timing, but after a lot of troubleshooting and remounting/reinstalling the CPU cooler/RAM/powercable, it finally was able to boot and haven't had any issues since....hopefully that will be the end of it. The case was a contributing factor in the fans I choose as I wanted maximum airflow in this build, of course getting the noctua fans were a must for me. Even though it had stretched out the total cost of this computer...$2,209.78 -

I have done interior work, upgrades, and even a case swap of a prebuilt computer before (which technically counts as building a PC), but for the first time, I built a whole system from scratch. I love the result, and it went very well. I also did some price matching and had a gift card, so I was able to lower the price from what it shows.$2,387.85 -

This one was built for image processing using either Photoshop and DaVinci Reslove. I have built several systems in the past for myself and family members. This time I wanted to push the performance envelope more and make fewer cost compromises. In Photoshop I experiment with many of the creative tools. I also restore photos and create of still frames for video. For my street photography, I use Photoshop for some of the more challenging RAW processing and color grading. In DaVinci Resolve I edit short documentaries and clean up live stream videos that I produce, including color grading.$3,461.83 -
