Playing Cyberpunk, Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa. Occasionally used for admin. GFX card was just too tall so used a piece of acrylic as a spacer and added a addressable LED for some color. There's also a ESP8266 for switching the computer on/off remotely or via voice commands.$1,376.94 -

VR games: Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa, iRacing, Star Wars Squadrons. Non-VR games: Rocket League, Minecraft. Theme of the build was chosen to complement my sim racing room. Painted the case and added a custom made control panel with a start button from a Lotus Elise. I really wanted an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, but there were none to be had, so the Intel Core i5 10600K was my second choice, but it's having no problems running all my games at decently high settings.$1,499.91 -

I wanted to build something that I could race, game, run Plex server, and watch 4K movies on with true HDR. All-in-one, and one-for-all; not separate devices! I built it and the gaming part was great, but the 4k Blu-ray part was only so-so : ( And then I moved on to a 3080 12GB ITX build and a second-hand XBox One S, because two purpose built things are always better than an all-in-one thing! Learn from my learning experience : ) Some of the part choices were forced, because the last CPU that supports Blu-ray disc playback is the Intel 10th Gen. I would have loved to go for an 11400 at the time (12th gen wasn't out yet, though I would have gotten the 12600K had I known a used XBox was such a better BD player), but a 10700K was my choice. Fitting it into the Silverstone Grandia 09 case was a challenge, especially for CPU cooling. I wanted something that could cool better than a low-profile Noctua, so I shoved a 120mm Arctic Freezer radiator in there. Also a learning experience; 120mm rads are not all that much better than air cooling -_- And although I did not need to, one foresight was to get an EVGA SFX-size power supply, as that made fitting power cables near the radiator MUCH easier.$1,560.89 -

After gazing at too many monochrome PC builds on this website I decided to build one of my own. This PC serves as my successor to a 2013 build (FX-6300 + GTX 760, was a trooper) my dad mostly built for me, and I thought it was high time to switch out in the face of new titles like MSFS2020, Horizon 5, etc. Built to last me through college and well into adulting; hopefully the case, PSU, and storage can last long enough to endure another cycle of CPU and GPU upgrades. Definitely spent 10-20% extra on the color matching side which is ironic since the Define 7 I eventually went with is solid panel, but peace-of-mind aesthetics...I guess?$1,672.90 -

Originally upgraded with the goal of being able to edit photos and video quicker with less stuttering - heavily edited automotive photography and videography, as a hobby for now and professionally very soon. I would like to upgrade the GPU to something a bit more powerful in the future like an RTX 3080 to keep up with the CPU. Focused a lot on airflow as my last build had poor thermal performance so configured the case to get the best airflow.$2,278.83
