Along with anything else I may need to do on a computer. The future upgrades I see coming is adding the Lian-Li strimmer's for the 24 pin and 12 pin, and maybe 32 GB more of DDR5 ram. I have also added some of my personalization to it by adding bear-bricks in certain locations within the case.$3,259.84 -

I don't do much gaming anymore, but my old build was 2015, and I literally could not play some of the more recent games even if I wanted to. The old build was still fine for most day-to-day stuff and I wanted another build that would go the distance. So here we are. My first build was 1998, and PC components have come a long way. I wanted something that could run Cyberpunk at 2k on max settings and still get over 60 FPS. I wanted something that I could hook up a top tier VR headset to without worries. The Lian Li components are super good, but they don't have great software support. Mostly, I would say that they are first rate components with second rate software running them. It often resets, and I can't update because of their file servers (or lack thereof). The Lian Li case is superb. The strimmer lighting looks great and is customizable. The CPU cooler is where the RGB software could be better. Even with the great cable management, the back of that case is STUFFED with cables, Lian Li USB controllers, internal USB hub. The fact that I put a RAID 10 SSD array in there didn't help with space. It seems like no mater what improvements are made with cable management, I'll find a way to fill it with cables! I was going with an ASUS 4080, but it was out of stock when I went to the store, so I settled for the Zotac. It's fine, but the RGB is about 3 years behind the RDG in the rest of the box. Even though it was 1200 bucks, I won't hesitate to return it if the 4080 super comes out in time. I may replace it with a 5000 series in a couple of years. My background is scientific computing, and this PC is about on par with the number of threads and memory that was in $20K servers I was using in 2010. I really like that it's super quiet, even with 6 fans. When its running full blast, its makes half the noise that my 2015 does. I'll probably try DnD next...but then will go back to checking my email! This PC specs out in the top 1% in Passmark. But 1% is a huge number of builds. Maybe next time I go ThreadRipper and Nivida XX90!$3,655.81 -

My wife and I decided to build a computer together for a VR setup. :D EKWB Quantum Velocity V2 cooling. CPU contact frame and Thermal grizzly liquid metal. I managed to fit (2) Corsair XR7 Rads in here with push/pull configurations. Overclocked the i9 13900k to 6.1 ghz on 6 cores and 5.6 on 2. Running 1.4v Vcore, medium LLC. Temps in cinebench get to about 80c full load. Oc'd the DDR5 6000 Gskill memory to 28, 36 36, 80 6133 at 1.46v. (Tested stable in memtest pro) Build was closer to $6000 really when all was said and done.lol$4,001.87 -

I had this build started on 5-11-2023 at Micro Center in Denver Colorado. It came to completion when I took the rig back and had them install additional fans and the Corsair commander Core to control the additional fans and RGB lights. One of the reasons I wanted this rig was to drive my Samsung 49" Neo G9 monitor. Why didn't I just go all in and get the rtx 4090 gpu? Budgeting to say it honestly and having all the other top end component makes upgrading to the 4090 in time extremely easy. I Play: Horizon Zero Dawn FarCry 5 and 6 Spiderman Remastered Hogwarts Legacy Undawn when it Launches in June 2023 PayDay 3 when it releases late in 2023 and anything else that has a good story, good combat and sweet graphics$4,109.83 -

This machine is what I run my business on (dbw-media.com), as well as my hobbies. I've played guitar since the age of 5, and eventually got into music production and also DJing. I stream DJ sets on Twitch (xxDamianUSxx) as well as upload recorded sets to YouTube. Having shopped at Microcenter for around 20 years building PCs, I am honored to share this top-level build! Yes, I obviously also play games on this rig, so don't worry!! (CyberPunk 2077, Eve Online, Star Citizen, Destiny 2 and World of Tanks).$5,913.79
