This machine is what I run my business on (dbw-media.com), as well as my hobbies. I've played guitar since the age of 5, and eventually got into music production and also DJing. I stream DJ sets on Twitch (xxDamianUSxx) as well as upload recorded sets to YouTube. Having shopped at Microcenter for around 20 years building PCs, I am honored to share this top-level build! Yes, I obviously also play games on this rig, so don't worry!! (CyberPunk 2077, Eve Online, Star Citizen, Destiny 2 and World of Tanks).$5,913.79 -

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).$5,228.69 -

This build has kinda taken on a life of its own and I am nowhere near done with it. At first I was going to get an AIO and then decided to go the custom loop route, I will be adding another radiator and liquid cooled GPU when the new Nvidia cards launch. I will also be working on some mods for the case as well for the first time, cutting a acrylic panel and using it for pass through fittings to run water lines behind the case and for a cleaner look as well.$4,605.44 -

I have a wide range of games I play, some as simple as Garry's Mod all the way to something unplayable without a ridiculous PC like Star Citizen. Only thing I'd change is the case, no room for a large modular PSU and the drive tray at the same time so for the time being I've ditched the HDD's and am running on only the two M.2 SSD's. I'm planning out another build for a buddy of mine which will essentially be a more polished version of my original with the changes I would've made, going with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 for that one.$4,574.84 -

I will bring this to college and use it for homework and gaming on the side. With 4080, it can handle any game at any setting no problem. The 4080 is a monster. Puts my older 3070Ti to shame with any game. Obviously, I can't bring this to all my classes so I will use a laptop (MS Surface). The cooler was a pain to install since with the usb connector was in the way of the ram so I and to re-orientate the bracket.$4,285.94 -

I had this build started on 5-11-2023 at Micro Center in Denver Colorado. It came to completion when I took the rig back and had them install additional fans and the Corsair commander Core to control the additional fans and RGB lights. One of the reasons I wanted this rig was to drive my Samsung 49" Neo G9 monitor. Why didn't I just go all in and get the rtx 4090 gpu? Budgeting to say it honestly and having all the other top end component makes upgrading to the 4090 in time extremely easy. I Play: Horizon Zero Dawn FarCry 5 and 6 Spiderman Remastered Hogwarts Legacy Undawn when it Launches in June 2023 PayDay 3 when it releases late in 2023 and anything else that has a good story, good combat and sweet graphics$4,109.83 -

I recently started a YouTube channel related to PC tech and finally realized I needed to upgrade my GPU (had a 6900xt) to have more consistency and performance within Davinci Resolve. Also, the grey screen crash that AMD has when using multiple monitor setups was infuriating and I had enough. The high power draw in multiple monitor setups as well as high temps (over 90 hotspot in demanding games) made me go Green as well. For gaming, I do dabble around in AAA titles, but I’m a huge Total War fan (almost 2k hours across Warhammer games) so I do need a good gpu. Why the 4080 instead of the 4090? At the end of the day, it’s a minimum 400 dollars cheaper. I game at 1440p and the increase performance for a 4090 to a 4080 is not worth the price to performance difference. Also I wanted an asus tuf card as it’s the most aesthetically pleasing to me, as well as staying within the Asus ecosystem. The insane power efficiency of the 4080 is great too. Most personally though, I just personally don’t like being on the bleeding edge of tech. It’s a money trap and you can never truly be “top end” for long. Probably why I’m satisfied with Amd gpus for so long.$4,082.93
