ROG Strix Helios Hello friends, This is my first computer for games with liquid cooling that I have built, in truth I always had in mind to build it but I did not dare to do it until I dared to stop dreaming and turn it into reality, and well I think that I did not stay so bad? Well! Let's see what you think.$5,119.94 -

I wanted a powerful gaming PC that can handle everything at 4K 60+FPS, so here it is! Took a while to save up for the parts, but I finally got it! The Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor is huge, but RX 6950XT can handle it no problem. I am using this PC mostly for gaming, but watching movies on this monitor aren't a bad idea!$3,357.96 -

I wanted to build a rig based around the standard Noctua Beige and Brown combo. I went all out and this PC had been through several iterations. It started life as a 3900x/5700xt system but I had endless USB issues with the x570 board. Swapped the 3900x for a 10900KF and it's been perfect ever since. I've also upgraded to a 6950XT Red Devil.$2,431.96 -

To celebrate the opening of a Microcenter near to me, and because I needed a computer sooner than I could save up for the parts I wanted, I decided to do a challenge where I would build a computer using ONLY the grand opening deals they had. So far I love this PC, and it has been able to run my needs (Ark: Survival Evolved, Anno 1800, FF XIV) with the exception of Cities Skylines, but that may be software related (it won't actually load and run.) Otherwise, for a computer that cost only 2/3rd to a half of what it would otherwise be, I am quite happy with this first of hopefully many PC builds with a local MicroCenter.$2,300.86 -

I built this computer because I want to play modern games at 4k@120Hz and I also need to run code/simulation for my research and my laptop simply is not fast enough. I built this computer with upgradability in mind, so when choosing parts, I made sure that they will be compatible for the years to come, and that's why I choose the new AM5 platform (supported till at least 2025 according to AMD) with DDR5 and PCIE gen5 support. Cost is another great factor. I am still a student and have limited budget, so I choose Microcenter for the most expensive parts because it offers very generous discount (especially for Ryzen 7000 series!!!) Now my computer is without graphics card, but I am planning to pick up a Radeon 7900xtx soon at Microcenter tomorrow!$2,273.95 -

Find everything on sale and don’t go overboard. Find a good CPU and MOB combo deal and save some money. I used the i7-12700 and the Z690-plus wifi DDR5. Great combo. Graphics cards are harder because they are overpriced. I used the AMD Rx 6950 XT because the bang for the buck factor. It was on sale and an Nvidea equivalent would have cost hundreds more. It is a beast too. I shopped Micro Center sales. The case is very important and Fractal design is the best. SuperNova power supply is reliable. Good memory vs cheap…don’t cheap out on this! Trident Z5 is the best. Have fun and watch YouTube how to videos.$2,217.41 -

I spec'ed out the rig, but made key changes at the store with the help of the MC staff to substitute some items. We substituted an MSI MB for a "better" Asus MB (bundled the MB, AMD Ryzen 9, and 16GB DDR5), separately bought a more capable DDR5 for 64GB RAM; save the cost of SSD and upgraded the graphics card; swapped the power supplies.$2,129.90 -

My primary use for this is video editing in DaVinci Resolve, and some photo editing, as well as everyday browsing and such. I was shooting for a $1200 budget, $2000 with monitors, and just about met it. Performance has been great with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop and Lightroom. My only quibble has been that sometimes it's a little slow to wake the monitors from sleep.$2,064.87 -
