It was there I first noticed the "Extreme gaming Rig" giveaways. Despite my best efforts at winning what I thought was the pinnacle gaming experience. I was never able to win one for myself. Years went by and I started building budget systems. They got the job done but I was always anxious to jump into the next project. One day while I was planning out my next build and I saw this ridiculously over the top PC build on youtube. The type with an absurd amount of fans, RGB lighting, and a PSU large enough to power a small city. It brought me back to the lazy days when I was browsing through gaming magazines, signing up for anything with a free entry. I decided I had waited long enough; rearranged my budget and went to work. If I couldn't win that gaming PC I was going to build it. Chungus Ultra was born. At it's core it's a Gaming PC, but I use it's extra power to stand up VMs, RDP for my Apple stuff, and to send/receive phone calls. (I get Imessages on Windows through bluebubble server/app) and to a lesser extent control my Hue smart lighting. The system initially had an RTX 3080, and I recently upgraded to a 4090 Strix OC. I pulled out the old Corsair lighting and replace it with Lian Li Unifans (Corsair RGB cable management is a NIGHTMARE), and I'm looking to replace my DDR5 memory kit. I will be throwing in a 1200w ATX 3.0 PSU once it arrives (yay cable management!). In one of my pics the fans are reversed. I'm aware, I was testing something and they have been fixed.$7,209.52 -

I play Warzone, AOE4, Fallout 76, Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk, and a bunch of others. I have been playing on 2k ultra, I am upgrading to a 4k monitor next. Once I find faster DDR5 ram I will upgrade that. I am also looking for a white Asus Rog Strix 3090. I wouldn't change much on this system, everything went in place very easily. Hardest thing was tweaking the ram settings to get it stable.$5,051.66 -

I needed a new general use and gaming PC (haven't been able to play MMORPGs in years) so I figured that I would try building one for the very first time. It was honestly a stressful process--in that it wasn't as simple as putting legos together, like how some people describe it, because I ran into some problems. But I'm really glad that I was able to complete it (much thanks to the people that answered all my questions on PC building related Discord servers). So far, I've been playing Craftopia and it's been fun. There's a lot more to the crafting system than I thought there would be going into the game. I also got the Xbox PC Pass to try out more games and am also waiting for Lost Ark to release (and eventually Blue Protocol in the far-ish future). Notes: * CPU crunch noises... That is all. * The O11D XL is nice and roomy but the newly released EVO case is so pretty (and the white version is a true white in comparison). * Cable management in the back ended up being a mess but I think it's an organized mess! In the future, I would check out some custom cables so that it's easier to manage everything. Maybe RGB ones for the extra FPS (jk). * It almost took just as long figuring out how to deal with two different RGB software (had to do it for the cooler) as it did to build the PC. I now understand why some people say that the software part is the most difficult part. * Oh! Looks like I have to fix the bottom bracket. Noticed this after I took the pictures.$4,100.76 -
