Built this rig to play my many games at high frame rates while maintaining stellar graphics. I aimed for the 2K resolution as it was the best of both worlds in terms of high refresh rate and still having good-looking graphics. Mainly though, I play games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, Wreckfest, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. For MP games I tend to keep RTX off for the added bump in frames, but for any coop/SP games, I crank everything to 11 and enjoy the beauty. The LG OLED monitor was a perfect choice for me as it provided the refresh rate I wanted while having an incredibly stunning color range and depth of black. Pair that with the 13700K and RTX 4090, and the games not only play super smooth but look incredible while doing so. All this sit on top of the Secretlab Magnus metal desk as I needed something right around this length while having prime cable management and this checked off all the boxes I needed while looking sleek. All in all, everything worked out right the first time, and luckily I planned everything out well enough to where I did not need to reconsider choices. One thing I will change/add in the future is adding my LG 34" UW back into the mix and probably put that on top, just for some extra real estate.$5,869.79 -

Snagged a Zotac 4090 off of Amazon for 1699 right before they disappeared from everywhere. 140mm fans look great! (too bad they don't have a 420mm Gallahad). And no... I didn't leave the NVME in that slot. I did test with it in that Gen5 slot vs the other M2 slot with the 4 lanes direct to the CPU (so not making the GPU run in 8x PCIE lanes). There was zero performance difference (actually it gets slightly faster 3dmark scores with the PCIE gen 5 M2 slot occupied (within margin of error though). Also.. not sure where the AsRock Nova Wifi went on their website (it's still there if you search, but not on the list of MBs). It is an awesome board so far, both in performance and looks.$5,825.81 -

I play Warzone, AOE4, Fallout 76, Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk, and a bunch of others. I have been playing on 2k ultra, I am upgrading to a 4k monitor next. Once I find faster DDR5 ram I will upgrade that. I am also looking for a white Asus Rog Strix 3090. I wouldn't change much on this system, everything went in place very easily. Hardest thing was tweaking the ram settings to get it stable.$5,051.66 -

Post-build, I added a few fans and the internal LCD resource monitor. I also reworked the motherboard and GPU power cabling with Corsair's Premium Individually Sleeved Type-5 PSU Cables for a cleaner look. Microcenter was great to work with and delivered a quality product. In hindsight, I would have given more though about RGB. I think it looks great but takes time to setup and maintain.$4,532.87 -

I built this new gaming PC so I can hand me down my current one to my Son as we both play together. We mainly play FPS games and currently playing Dying Light 2 and Valhiem together. I was in a Clan and an Server Admin before for Return to castle Wolfenstein in its hay days. This is my 3rd built and my last built was a Thermaltake Level 10 with i5 7th Gen.with a 1080ti. I used Asus Prime Z690-A MB. Remember to update the BIOS before installing Windows 10/11. .load Learn it the hard way. Once you boot from the Usb, first thing you should do is update all the Drivers for the MB. You can run a Armory Crate software from ASUS which can do everything for you. Try to connect all the LED fans through Sata power so no loads go on the MB. Please check my Pics and I hope you guys will like it :) Specially check the reverse format with the Motherboard upside down,$3,929.88 -

I don't do much gaming anymore, but my old build was 2015, and I literally could not play some of the more recent games even if I wanted to. The old build was still fine for most day-to-day stuff and I wanted another build that would go the distance. So here we are. My first build was 1998, and PC components have come a long way. I wanted something that could run Cyberpunk at 2k on max settings and still get over 60 FPS. I wanted something that I could hook up a top tier VR headset to without worries. The Lian Li components are super good, but they don't have great software support. Mostly, I would say that they are first rate components with second rate software running them. It often resets, and I can't update because of their file servers (or lack thereof). The Lian Li case is superb. The strimmer lighting looks great and is customizable. The CPU cooler is where the RGB software could be better. Even with the great cable management, the back of that case is STUFFED with cables, Lian Li USB controllers, internal USB hub. The fact that I put a RAID 10 SSD array in there didn't help with space. It seems like no mater what improvements are made with cable management, I'll find a way to fill it with cables! I was going with an ASUS 4080, but it was out of stock when I went to the store, so I settled for the Zotac. It's fine, but the RGB is about 3 years behind the RDG in the rest of the box. Even though it was 1200 bucks, I won't hesitate to return it if the 4080 super comes out in time. I may replace it with a 5000 series in a couple of years. My background is scientific computing, and this PC is about on par with the number of threads and memory that was in $20K servers I was using in 2010. I really like that it's super quiet, even with 6 fans. When its running full blast, its makes half the noise that my 2015 does. I'll probably try DnD next...but then will go back to checking my email! This PC specs out in the top 1% in Passmark. But 1% is a huge number of builds. Maybe next time I go ThreadRipper and Nivida XX90!$3,655.81
