I completed it in a day by watching and building along with YouTube videos. I built this PC mainly for gaming and sometimes for work. I am currently playing Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on this PC and this PC handled them well. No lag or ghosting, and perfectly smooth graphics.

  the main point of updating this desktop build is to get it ready to play the game "starfield." now this game hasnt been... the main point of updating this desktop build is to get it ready to play the game "starfield." now this game hasnt been released at the time i am writing this, but all early accounts of the game's technical specifications show that in requires a greater amount of vram (10-12gb) than what I had available on my 6600 8gb card. at first i was only going to upgrade my video card, but i ran into another problem. higher end video cards can be significantly longer in dimensions than midrange cards. and so ultimately in addition to the new card, i also upgraded to a new case that was larger in size but also one that has superior airflow for hopefully better temperatures.

I'm thrilled to share my very first gaming PC setup with you all. After years of living in the Mac world, I've finally made the leap into PC gaming, and let me tell you, it's been an incredible journey! Why I Built It: Switching from Mac to PC was a big decision for me, but I wanted to explore the world of gaming in a whole new way. I built this PC because I wanted something powerful enough to run all the latest games smoothly while still fitting within my budget. It's amazing how customizable and versatile PC gaming can be, and I couldn't wait to dive in. Purpose: This PC may be my first, but it's already exceeded my expectations. It's more than enough for me to enjoy gaming to the fullest, whether I'm exploring the vastness of space in "Elite Dangerous" or battling it out in matches of "Overwatch." Games I Play: As someone new to PC gaming, I'm still exploring all the amazing titles out there, but I've already found a couple of favorites. "Elite Dangerous" is perfect for satisfying my craving for space exploration and adventure, while "Overwatch" scratches that competitive itch with its intense multiplayer action. I'm constantly discovering new games to play and loving every minute of it. Future Upgrades and Reflections: While this PC may be perfect for me right now, I'm excited to see where my gaming journey takes me in the future. As I become more experienced with PC gaming, I might consider upgrading certain components to further enhance my gaming experience. But for now, I'm just enjoying every moment of gaming on my new setup and embracing this exciting new chapter in my gaming journey.
