My whole group of friends all played computer games and constantly egged me on to get a pc. Unfortunately i did not have money and a job as I was still finishing high school. Soon as I finished I got a job at Target and started putting in the hours to finally get my pc. My build originally started simple with a ryzen 3 2200g, b450 motherboard, 500gb ssd, and a ryzen rx 480 red devil. I wanted to upgrade in the future but knew Target was not going to cut it because high end pc parts are a pretty penny. So I went to trade school and now im an electrician trainee making decent money. After a long job with a total house remodel I happened to be passing micro center on my way home. I was tired but thought "hey why not check it out and maybe treat myself for the hard work" plus I had just gotten a rather large check haha. A friendly employee helped me out and I ended up walking out with pretty much an entire new build worth of upgrades.

I've wanted to build a gaming PC since last August, and now I've done it. It's much better than I first planned. The primary reason for this PC is for gaming, so deciding which GPU to get is important. It's the first part I brought. I ended up with the RX 7800 XT because it's enough for the type of game I play and it was on sale. Building this PC was surprisingly easy with the help of YouTube video guides. Overall, I am really happy with the result.

Thanks to Nvidia's GameStream and the Awesome guys at moonlight. I'm able to stream from the ITX Rig to phone, laptops, & TVs via the moonlight app. Streaming Project Cars 2, TitanFall2, GTA 5, StarWars Battlefront II, Fallout 4, Destiny 2 over Ethernet or WIFI, I'm usually either 2k@144p or 4K@60p, Ultra settings. Also, the typical Bitrate of the stream over WIFI is usually 100 Mbits/s. Next up, will compare raw performance between my main computer (Macbook Pro with eGPU) vs ITX Rig. More future projects to come. Few Lessons learned: 1) Distilled Water......πŸ™ŒπŸΎ. So doing custom loops you learned quickly it's better to be safe and use non-conductive water. Saved me many times. 2) Fans Step Up and Step Down...Please set this option.....it helps soo much to stabilize temperatures. With this option set to 0, temperatures would never stay consistent on idle. πŸ˜” 3) Graphite Thermal Pad is good enough. Some of the best paste used: MX2, MX4, IC Diamond, Noctua are all great choices. Graphite helps to keep it clean, no paste mess. πŸ™„ 4) Rollercoaster relationship with water cooling. Love to tinker, So pulling stock cooler from PCD, and installing water block was awsome....πŸ‘πŸΎ. Getting all the air pockets out of the system sucks. And pouring water over electronics and seeing a drop of water anywhere is scary πŸ˜³πŸ˜“. 5) Using water temperature sensors to relay temps to the motherboard. This allows me to set the fan controls for the GPU. Future Upgrades: 3950X or 3900XT, Waiting on the new AMD APUs, Quick disconnects, External Water Flow Sensor.

My main goal was 1440p high fps gaming in pretty much any game I play on the PC. As well as building a pc that was upgradable but was still not going to need upgrading anytime soon. I started with a ryzen 5 7500f that was ordered through AliExpress as it’s not available in the states. Then it was just a matter of building outward from there. Gigabyte Aorus B650m elite ax. Corsair vengeance 5200 2x16 ram. ID cooling single tower air cooler. 1tb team group gen 4 SSD. 2 tb Samsung 970 pro gen 3 2 tb ssd. Corsair 750 watt power supply. Asus tuf rx7800xt. In a deep cool cc360 argb case. I’m only just now getting into actually using it but it is great so far.
