This is a build that I built for my dad that will hopefully last him around 5 years. He plans to use it mainly for coding, Photoshop, website design and video editing. Therefore plenty of RAM was necessary along with lots of fast storage. He also did not want it to take up too much desk space or be loud, hence the NR200 case and the Phanteks T30s. He didn't need anything too crazy for the processor and graphics card, although this will still be a huge upgrade from his current laptop.$1,919.91 -

I created this build in partnership with Micro Center for a sponsored YouTube video. Its packed with as much hardware as I could possibly fit within it, along with a stupidly loud fan to keep it from melting. While obviously intended as a bit of a meme build, it runs games extremely well, especially with the Ultra Wide Triple CRT setup. I also made a few other accessories for it like a subwoofer, and various aftermarket car mods like spinning rims. The blu-ray drive works, as well as the floppy drive. It features 2x 2TB samsung 980 PRO M.2 drives in RAID0, as well as 2 14tb shucked WD hard drives. The cooler is an asetek 92mm radiator, while the 60 watt fan, powered by PCIE power cable, serves as both the CPU and case fan.$1,834.95 -

Inside this Barbie PC is a Ryzen 9 paired with a 3060 graphics card, and 64GB of RAM. It also has two 2TB Samsung 980 PRO m.2 SSDs in RAID0 and 2x 14tb shucked WD RED hard drives. The 3.5" floppy drive is fully functional, and the CD drive was replaced with a painted blu-ray drive. It features a complete matching set of accessories, including speakers, mouse, keyboard, 2 monitors, 2 cameras, and a printer. A custom controller was commissioned by Spicy Frog Customs. Additional CRT monitors were paired up with this monitor to create 3x2 and 3x3 video walls. The PC was cooled by an Asetek 92mm AIO radiator, and a very loud 60 watt fan.$1,834.95 -

I built this PC because my old rig was quite large and also getting outdated (i7 4790k, GTX 970). After following the SFFPC subreddit for about two years or so, I finally decided that it was time to build my own. This build centers around the Louqe Ghost S1 case, which is around 8 liters in volume and extremely well-built (this was before the FormD T1 came around). This case is, if I remember correctly, about 1/4 or 1/5 of the volume of my old NZXT case. The current configuration of this build has the 5600x and 3060 Ti, which I changed from the original setup with 3600 and 3070 as I felt that it better suits my needs. The small size does mean that thermals and fan noise are not the best, but for my uses (light productivity and gaming) it is perfectly acceptable. The games I play most are Valorant, Escape from Tarkov, and some occasional Star Citizen (very infrequently). This PC has been transported across the country and it was a pretty smooth experience overall. After this build, I will definitely stick with small form factor builds, as there are few reasons for me to build in conventional, large cases.$1,706.88 -

This is why I opted for the RTX 3060, given its 12GB of VRAM its perfect for smaller CDNN tasks — and it’s not too shabby for gaming either. I have an m.2 windows boot drive for games and a SATA ssd linux boot for ML and NN tasks, though I’m planning on switching entirely to linux when EAC stops hating us :,^) . And I’ve just recently upgraded to the R5 5600G to prepare for a linux host with FULL GPU passthrough ! (Thank you microcenter for the sale!)$1,699.94 -
