The aim of this build is to be able to play any game in the highest graphic setting in 1080p. This is the build I came up with that does exactly that. The RTX 4060 GPU is great for this build. It's inexpensive but perfect for 1080p gaming.$1,369.93 -

My highschool had a two week course where we could learn and build our own computers, we had a budget of 500$ and the choice to add extra from our own money. This is my first build and I am very happy with how it turned out. Using our budgets, I bought the 400$ bundle at Micro Center that contained, Intel Core i9 12900K, ASUS Prime Z790-V WIFI motherboard, and the G.skill Ripjaw 32 Gb 2 x 16 ram. Additionally, I got a PowerSpec PS 650GSM 650 W power supply, a DeepCool AG400, and a Seagate Laptop Thin 500 GB 7200RPM SATA 6 GB/s 32 MB Cache 2.5 Inch Hard Disk Drive. Using my own money, I bought a Inland X1 black case, two Inland TN320 NVMe M.2 storage SSD's, and a Nvidia RTX 3050. I am very thankful I took this course and I am very content with how my PC turned out, it runs most games I play at high to max graphics (I mostly play RTS such as Men of War or Total War games). The total cost of this build was roughly 800$ USD with me paying around 270$ from my own pocket.$1,122.93 -

I learned a lot from this unforgettable experience. It's fascinating to learn about how the computer works. The build has been working great. I mainly play FPS games. I tested The Finals and Tarkov on this machine, and it ran perfectly smoothly.$1,869.93 -

I built this over the course of 5 months finding parts on sale. Performance-wise, this handles 4K 120Hz on everything I've thrown at it. Only times I scale back quality in games is if the GPU kicks up its coil whine a bit too much. Really stable FPS and benchmarking. Solid machine that should last years at High-Ultra in games. Mixed with 24GB VRAM being a productivity monster. Happy with the end result but I would have done a few things differently. An i7-14700K would have been a nice upgrade, but unnecessary for my use case. A bigger change would be opting for 2x32GB of RAM and/or slightly higher-spec'ed RAM (like 6000 CL30 or 6400 CL32). Aesthetically, I'm really happy with how the silver CPU cooler and tan Noctua fans look through the mesh side panel. If everything was black, you wouldn't notice any components inside and the silver+tan give it a subtle "pop" of character. But, if you're more into RGB than I am than going black on all components will be a nicer look and let your RGB shine.$2,929.90 -

After years of looking at people posting their builds on Reddit and here I finally decided to attempt a build myself. At the time I built this Microcenter was having a sale (bundle on CPU, MOBO, and RAM) so thought why not. My budget was 1500 and the bundle helped me save about 300. I mostly play MMORPGs, so that's what this build is used for (Archeage, D4, etc). I was planning to build this closer to the release of Ashes of Creation but that deal kinda sealed it for me.$1,482.90 -

This my first build for me personally, I had been rocking a desktop replacment laptop for the longest time. Mainly use this games with some side recording, 3d model/rendering, video editing. For the most demanding games i play regularly: Squad, Arma, DCS; it stays very coool never get's over 60 on the cpu and gpu.$1,600.85 -

So I finally made up my mind to upgrade my desktop after 5 years. Since the GTX 1080 is still in good condition and honestly can still run a lot of games smoothly, I've decided to just upgrade other components for now and wait for the 5080 (depends on my need)$824.96 -

Hello, my name is Arte and I'm completely addicted to overhauling my desktop pc for the sake of making marginal improvements. Or perhaps I just enjoy tinkering. Regardless, those are my honest reasons of why I built this. This machine functions as and replaces my primary gaming desktop pc. I mostly play fps games such as Doom Eternal. I was really tired of ddr4 and was ready to make the switch to ddr5 since the price on ddr5 has come down significantly over recent months. I also upgraded my video card to a RTX 4070 so that I could use gsync on a recently acquired monitor. I also upgraded to a more robust air cpu cooler so that it could handle the temps of an i7 13700k cpu.$2,364.91
