Main reason I decided to get this PC was because I really wanted to play Escape from Tarkov and stream it as well. Recently I've gotten away from Tarkov and have mostly been learning Squad, which I also stream here and there. So far those are the main games I've played so far but in the future I plan on getting some sim racing gear so I can get into IRacing and Assetto Corsa. Finally, I make music as a hobby and this build handles all my plugins like a champ and can record vocals with virtually no latency (2-3ms) while running autotune. Love this machine!$1,404.92 -

This build technically started back in 2016 as there are still some leftover parts from my first PC, as time went on I just continued to add more parts and recycle old ones where I can. There is some insane value in this PC as I virtually have little to zero dollars in it since I would upgrade and sell my old parts for more than what I paid originally over the years. Its a more than a decent gaming rig, but these days as I have no time anymore, it has become a fancy facebook/email checker and a YouTube machine for my toddler.$1,877.90 -

During the COVID lockdowns, my three girls and I were playing a lot of video games to pass the time. I wanted to build a PC that could play any game, make videos if I/or my kids wanted to and stream while playing without an issue. This process took over a year to get to where it is below. I would check every other day on websites like Amazon and Microcenter for deals, open box items, and even joined discord channels to follow in stock alerts. I made this a family project and worked with my two oldest daughters 13 and 8 on what each part does, how to put it together, etc. They seemed interested and helped me seat the ram, manage cables, unbox the cool parts, but are much more interested when they can play their favorite games with their friends. It is definitely a show piece and they are proud of the PC they helped build when there friends come over. It doesn't have the top of the line components, but each component was selected to get the best performance for price I could afford. I hope my girls remember these fun times working with their dad building a computer. and pass that on to their kids some day. I am not the best gamer, I am not a streamer. I enjoy Elden Ring, even though I am not good at it. I also enjoy chill RTS games like Civilization 6, Frost Punk and Planet Coaster, I am much better at those. I have a full time job, I am a full time single parent to three girls, so finding time to game on my own, is difficult. However, I did not build this computer, just for myself, I built it with my kids because it makes me smile when I hear my 8 year old talking trash and laughing with her friends. I am amazed how talented my 13 year old is with editing her videos she captures with her iPhone and shared them with her friends on discord. I plan to upgrade to a 1GB NVME this next year. I have upgraded the case, motherboard and CPU along the way. Once I get a new SSD, I am only a GPU and power supply away from a second gaming PC project with the girls. This would be really cool for their friends to come over and have two gaming pcs they can take turns with to battle each other and make memories. I got all these parts from Micro Center except the Vetroo V5, power supply and case fans.$1,524.13 -

I'm a competitive FPS player and the 5800X was the sweet spot for a workstation + gaming PC. I do coding and do stream/record aside from gaming so having that extra CPU power helps. The RGB is there for the aesthetic but I mainly just set everything to a nice white. I swap between the Founder's Edition and 3070 Strix as that black theme fits well with both cards.$1,899.94 -

The reason of the 3.0 in the name was because this pc was the most updated build since its inception in 2016. It started with a I5 6th gen, Evga 1060 3gg and 16gb memory. (around 500$ budget at the time) In 2022, It now rocks a Ryzen7 5700 X ,Evga 3070 FTW3 and 32Gb memory. It Has come far, and i am very happy how it turned out.$1,811.90 -

I built this computer to mainly have a home PC, but also wanted something to replace my Xbox. My wife uses it for photo editing, crafting and everyday use. I use it for general use and for gaming with Xbox friends. I do want to start streaming a bit on my Nintendo switch which is why I got a capture card as well. I do plan to hopefully upgrade my graphics card to where my PC can handle 4K gaming at high FPS.$3,363.87 -

This computer is beefy and can run pretty much every game at max settings. For streamers or content creators, it can handle multiple screens and programs with ease. The case is great, motherboard is great, only thing that isn't highest grade is the PSU. I purchased any old PSU from Best-Buy but it's never given me any problems. This is the ultimate package. It comes with absolutely everything needed to play the toughest games and do the toughest work. You can push this thing to the max and it'll keep going. A little more of the finer details. I never bothered with the LED cords so they aren't on but they are there. I never cared for the lights. I opened the computer up and gave it a dusting so it should look good as new.$2,119.94 -

I decided to go with an ITX build after many iterations of my main PC because I love the way big GPUs and coolers look in tight spaces. Previously, I’d only worked with Micro-ATX and ATX systems, so I thought an ITX PC would be a fun challenge. I built this PC mainly for 1440p gaming and schoolwork, but I’ve also streamed on it a bit. It handles everything I throw at it easily and I love it to death.$1,738.91 -

My PC had been running well for a year and a half featuring a 1660 and 3600X, but my GPU just wasn't cutting it anymore for VR. I managed to order an RTX 3070 Strix at the Best Buy online drop, and waited anxiously for it to be ready. It finally arrived about 2 weeks after I ordered it. I went to pick it up in-store, and came home ready to upgrade my PC. Only to realize that my motherboard had some tall slots and it couldn't fit. I felt very frustrated, but I was offered a solution by a friend of mine. They traded me a new motherboard and a bigger case to fit it. I was more than happy to take the offer, and ended up picking up a used 3700X off Hardwareswap for $150. I used a lot of my old parts combined with my new CPU, GPU, case, and motherboard and here I am today. I started the day thinking I'll get a new GPU, and went to sleep having an entirely different PC build. Looking back, I'm glad I made the choices I did. I'm afraid that the current shortages are getting worse. I'm glad I was able to build this now, and get a good deal on it as well. One of the first things I did was to try Beat Saber modded. I was just amazed at how much better the game looks and feels. I'm not entirely finished yet- I do want to get a a vertical mount to show off my GPUs, and potentially a liquid cooling setup. However, after all my recent upgrades, I'll definitely have to wait a while for that. I'm happy I was able to do this build, and I wish everyone else good luck in their 2022 PC building endeavors!$1,515.97 -
