It's been working great so far. I have not encountered any games this PC couldn't run. This setup is absolutely perfect for 1440p gaming. The only thing I would not suggest in this build is the 1500-watt PSU. It's unnecessary. I got it during a sale and I didn't know what I was doing. A 800-watt PSU for this build is sufficient.$2,344.93 -

This is my sff PC that I built for general work but is capable of PC gaming! I wanted to go with a sff PC since space is limited and I liked the idea of having something compact but powerful. The graphics card was a carry over from my old PC but it'll probably be upgraded later down the line. Temperature isnt an issue as of now but with components demanding more power draw, temps are bound to rise as well. The solution? - custom fan mounting solutions in the near future!$1,529.97 -

My last build was 7 years old and not compatible with the latest versions of Windows (not that I *really* wanted to make the switch). Upgrading the DDR-3 ram to DDR-4 or 5 would require upgrading the motherboard, upgrading the motherboard would require upgrading the processor, an upgraded processor would make my GPU a bottleneck... So I'd basically be building a whole new PC. So I built a whole new PC. It's about half the size, as well. I mostly plan to use it for gaming. I've been playing a lot of Darktide and Hogwarts Legacy, planning on playing some Cyberpunk as well. Also Guild Wars (1), but this PC doesn't change the way I play games from 2007 at all. I also homebrew tabletop rpgs and make character sheets for games I like with character sheets I don't like. In the future I may buy a monitor that supports more than 60hz, and maybe a mechanical keyboard without a num pad, since I really only use it to type in my pin these days, and it will save on desk space.$2,247.86 -

Designed to last 5/6 years of abuse at minimum with no major upgrades so latest gen components used. runs a little toasty under load as the case I used has relatively poor airflow but he seems to be relatively happy and will handle a mild overclock on basically everything. The big temperature issue is the CPU which sits at around 80 degrees Celsius under load at minimum. I'm constantly playing around with fan settings to try get the temps lower and might bolt some more fans on.$1,454.92 -

I've been in a long wait with MSI while they process a RMA replacement for my primary graphics card, a MSI SUPRIM 3090 Ti. During this downtime, I got impatient and decided to use the opportunity of not having a giant brick of a graphics card to work around. I ended up upgrading most of my system: new motherboard (MSI z790 Ace), new cpu (Intel i5 24600k), and new kit of ddr5 (32gb of G.Skill TridentZ 6400). In the current state of cardlessness, everything is running great as far as a general use desktop PC. Just waiting on MSI to get the card back in and resume gaming.$1,594.93 -

Paired with a 144hz monitor, it delivers excellent performance in GPU and CPU intensive games. Played through Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty 2.0 with ray tracing on low and native 1440p (no upscaling) and was able to get a solid 60 (sometimes more depending on location). Will be swapping ram with a RAM kit from the motherboards QVL list soon, with tighter timings and hopefully a working XMP.$2,587.78 -

Besides making sure the parts are compatible with each other, I also picked the snow white theme for this build. The final result is super clean and stylish. And it's powerful too. It is used daily for everything, including three monitors. Two of these are used for gaming: One 34" ultrawide monitor that runs 3440x1440 at 100hz, and then alternately a 55" TCL 55R646 tv than I use for a console like experience (wireless controller, steam big picture mode) at 4k,120hz. I primarily play RPG / JRPG, action, adventure games. Up next for me is to play the recently updated current-gen version of The Witcher III at 120fps. The name of this build was drawn from the predominantly graphite & silver scheme on many of the components. I just rolled with this color scheme after finding multiple clearance deals at Microcenter that I considered too good to pass up. The graphics card, motherboard, ddr5 ram, and most of the ssd storage were all taken from Microcenter clearance. The biggest problem I ran into was also directly related to this. Specifically, the clearance / open box RTX 3090 Ti ended up being a bare card only and was missing the required 3-pronged power adapter that plugs directly into the card. Thankfully, I was able to contact MSI and I can recommend their customer support. Since the card was still unregistered and under warranty, MSI sent me the power cable I needed at no further cost to me.$1,775.77 -

I built this as a an office desk PC and wanted to build a ITX PC and wanted to show off my components. The Streamcom DA6 features an open air frame with no covers, which allows me to show off all my components, especially the GPU. Unfortunately the case does now allow me to put very large GPUs in. I purchased the 13600k as it was able to be cooled enough by the Noctua low profile cooler. While I was contemplating on getting a 13700k or 13900k, I was hesitant as those are not able to stay cool without thermal throttling alot by a low profile cooler. (I'm a kid) I chose the 13600k because it's performance was similar or surpassing the 12900k so it was essentially a $240 i9. I originally planned to get the Strix White 3080, but it was discontinued, so then I wanted to get the 3080 vision, but I also couldn't find that so I ended up going with the 3060 vision. While many people choose the 3060ti, I disagreed because I would much rather have the extra 4gb vram. I feel like the ram was a solid choice, but for aesthetics I would have preferred Corsair dominator. For the aio the Nzxt cooler was the perfect choice. From all of the cases out there I chose the nzxt H5 due to it's clean white look. But with the recent release of the h9 flow. I would switch out for that in a heart beat. I do think though that a possible future upgrade would be a few more Nzxt aer fans. Overall it is great build.$1,514.92 -

This is a build that I built for my dad that will hopefully last him around 5 years. He plans to use it mainly for coding, Photoshop, website design and video editing. Therefore plenty of RAM was necessary along with lots of fast storage. He also did not want it to take up too much desk space or be loud, hence the NR200 case and the Phanteks T30s. He didn't need anything too crazy for the processor and graphics card, although this will still be a huge upgrade from his current laptop.$1,919.91 -

I decided to build a PC in 2022 but wanted a high-end gaming PC under $1500. So, I wandered all PCpartpicker part lists to find the best deals, picking parts that fit my wallet without losing on the aesthetics. I found a 3080 used on marketplace for $480 and bought it without a PC to test if it was working until I built mine (2 months later). Since the seller said, he sold his PC and didn't have another PC to show me if it works. In the end, I pulled the trigger anyways since my urge to get a GPU was high (I checked every website to get one). I was playing with fire, don't do this absurd stupidity! Then working with this case was a pain, but aesthetics are also important. I already explained the reasons on the part reviews. I was planning to purchase only 16GB of ram to save some bucks($1450 build), but you have to go with 4 to get the perfect look. If you want more performance, go for ddr5 instead of ddr4 (the ddr5 version board was at the same price). I could have built a 32GB ddr5 ram with just $20 more, but you only get 2 bars of 16GB. It is called a budget build for a reason, so it's a no-no to buy 4 bars of ddr5 to get aesthetics. I would say this build has a balanced performance-aesthetic ratio. I also plan to buy cables to get even better aesthetics and more extension cables to fix the issue of insufficient ports to connect more devices on my fan controller—no light on my led strip for now. I will update the photos once installed in the future!$1,632.98
