I always wanted to build a pc ever since 2019 when I first got into fortnite competitive. All my friends and teamates had good specs while I played on a i7 3rd gen with a 580. I like the Fractal North case because you can just look at it and be pleased after a very expensive purchase decision. I wanted the inside to be blacked out since you can't really see the inside of your case all the time, and the only RGB I really want is the Geforce RTX logo from my graphics card. Decided to be conservative on the specs I go with, albeit the 7800 X3D bundle is too good to pass up. I wanted to save the rest of the money for a very nice (and expensive) QD-OLED monitor, preferably, something like the MSI MPG 321URX, which is sadly still not in stock. Other than that, Noctua fans keep my PC quiet without any annoying frequencies, which is useful since I use open-back headphones. 4 TB main drive should last for a while, and cover all my storage needs.$1,807.35 -

Built this AMD 8700G PC for coding and running programs that I need for my mad science lab, but looks like it will be my wife's PC instead. She will use it for general PC activities including some casual 1080p gaming (Secret World Legends, Entropia, and others that I don't know the names of). A few years from now, if her old Nvidia/Intel based gaming PC breaks down then I may overclock this one and/or add a video card, or maybe even drop in a new CPU. Am using the heat sink that came with the 8700G CPU, and during a bit of gaming the temp never got above 32 degrees C so I won't be upgrading to water cooling. It has very low power use and it is whisper quiet.$1,335.90 -

After discovering the HYTE Y70 Touch case just a day or two after the company announced that they had exhausted the global supply of the integrated 4K touch displays, I was both in love and heartbroken. I loved the case design and the novelty of the built-in touch display, but now they were sold out everywhere and being sold for exorbitant amounts on the second-hand markets. I had signed up for a few waiting lists for on sites like B&H in hopes that one might appear in stock somewhere. My friend and coworker heard me talk about this case for days and weeks as I spent all of my free time trying to find one for near retail price to no avail. Then one day, while that coworker is on vacation, I get a text from him saying he had received an email from B&H offering him a 30-minute window to purchase one from some stock they had held back. He knew how much I wanted one, and put himself on the waitlist! Now that he had secured one for me, I had to build a machine worthy of such a hunt!$3,274.81 -

I built this as a secondary PC for my girlfriend to use when I am using my main rig inside the office. I opted for as little RGB as possible since I didn't want it to be too much of a focal point in the living room where it's set up. I’m happy with the way it came out except for some of the wiring due to the TUF PSU having very malleable cabling. Not a bad thing I’m just inexperienced. Also, I wanted an AIO with an LCD screen but the NZXT and Ryujin still sit at a high price. I despise the large pump on the rug aio, but love the pump head despite not having a screen. I do many things with a pc(Play Games, Run LLMs, Write Code, ETC,)and I got sick of my old laptop(i5-10300H, GTX 1650 TI mobile, 8gb DDR4 2933mhz.) So I decided to build a brand new powerhouse, in which I am writing this right now. Now that I have built my own rig at this point, time to give you some advice. First and foremost, if you want the absolute best PTP(Price To Performance)PLEASE do not give in to any of those prebuilt pcs, they are built and sold for a profit(which I, in all means respect.)Like I got a 4070 TI Super and Ryzen 9 7950x3d, With the amount that I spent I could only get an i9-13900kf and 4070 TI from NZXT and from Build Redux I could only get a 4070 TI Super and 7950x with only 16gb ram(in NZXT and custom I got 32gb). And for my 2nd piece of advice, enjoy the build expierience you know, have fun.$2,572.91 -

My objective was to build a rig on the premise of cost efficiency vs. having the right hardware to get the job done. The problem was temptation. Man that 4090 comes to mind! I did choose to go the AM4 platform's route though. It is a solid choice in my view because it is AMD's best product vs. price to date. Performance turned out to be really good as well. Although it is an older platform I'm still playing games like God of War, Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Horizon, and Call of Duty III at more than satisfactory levels. The graphics are still eye-catching and that 6800 XT is a beast and was a great choice for this build! Temperatures are great when gaming as well. I did stress test it with Cinebench R23 and AIDA64 and those results did not even approach borderline.$2,028.62 -

I wanted to go with something similar to the Lian Li case but found a much cheaper case from a brand I’ve never heard of but achieves the same look. Got the best APU for AM4 the 5700G with Noctua L9a. Always try to stick with Asus Strix Motherboards so got the best ITX available the Strix X570-I. I built this computer with the NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti, Ryzen 7 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD to create a versatile powerhouse that can handle both gaming and creative tasks with ease. As a gamer, I'm drawn to titles that demand high-performance hardware to fully immerse myself in their worlds. With this setup, I dive into the latest AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Call of Duty: Warzone, experiencing smooth gameplay and stunning visuals at high settings. The NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti ensures that I can enjoy these games at high resolutions with fast frame rates, delivering an immersive gaming experience. Beyond gaming, I'm also a content creator, producing videos and streaming gameplay on platforms like YouTube and Twitch. The Ryzen 7 CPU's multi-threaded performance allows me to edit videos smoothly and handle streaming tasks without any lag. The 16GB DDR4 RAM ensures that multitasking is a breeze, whether I'm editing videos, streaming, or browsing the web simultaneously. In hindsight, one potential upgrade could be increasing the RAM to 32GB for even smoother multitasking and future-proofing the system. Additionally, considering the fast-paced advancements in technology, I might have opted for a higher-tier GPU if budget allowed, to ensure longevity and better performance in upcoming games and applications. Overall, this build strikes a perfect balance between gaming performance and content creation capabilities, allowing me to pursue my passions with confidence and efficiency.$1,195.94 -

I use my PC for gaming, recording videos, watching shows and videos, and doing schoolwork. I'm currently working on the "Akatsuki" themed aesthetic with the Tobi Funko pop, and I'm gonna add cable extensions later on.
