Got a great deal at microcenter with the CPU, motherboard, and RAM bundle. Pretty good performance overall, haven't had any issues. Might add more RGB or some other personalization to the case at some point.$1,524.92 -

I built this setup back in early 2018 and it is definitely due for some upgrades. I built it originally as the family computer, but since then it has mainly become a gaming computer for light game titles. I plan to use the 25 dollar discount to hopefully bring down the price of a few upgrades such as a new cpu and gpu. All of the parts in the build were bought from microcenter, however i cannot find many of the parts in the catalog since it is so old, so i have added custom parts to this list.$534.96 -

My initial motivation for building this PC two years ago was the anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I had been playing other simulators for many years before then and wanted an upgrade for the new intense game. I've been wanting an upgrade from my Dell Optiplex retrofitted with a GTX 1050 Ti for a while, but this pushed me to actually go ahead and do it. I still play Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day, but most of my time on this machine has shifted to software engineering and, incidentally, developing addons for the simulator. I am a computer science student and use this computer to compile Rust libraries, run simulations in Python, and develop websites. A year after getting this computer, I replaced the stock heat sink on my RTX 2080 Super with an NZXT Kraken, and it was totally worth it as I haven't had any problems with thermals since then and the computer is pretty darn quiet. The only upgrade that I see myself making in the foreseeable future is a kit of custom white cables along with a modular PSU to replace the horrendous ketchup and mustard powering the rig.$1,732.91
