I built my pc last year just graduated high school worked over the summer and was able to save enough to build. The main games I play are call of duty and overwatch right now. I don’t plan on upgrading till after college I wanted to spend a lot now on this build so it’ll last and so far it’s amazing on every game. Last thing I am upgrading here is more storage.

With 4k not being too relevant just yet, this was an affordable option without giving up too much performance, but still look good and perform well! Overkill 980 Pro for Boot and 2TB Evo for everything else! Will probably upgrade to 7800x3D and 7800XT/ GRE sometime this year when the sales roll around!

This is my PC setup which I have gradually upgraded over the years with a mix of old and new components. There is some jank involved in my setup as I had to use Lego to hold a monitor in place and to have a webcam that I could use without blocking parts of my main monitor screen as it has thin bezels. The prices in the parts may not be reflective of current pricing as the prices I entered are the prices I paid at the time I acquired the parts. I mainly use it for gaming, productivity tasks, and virtualization.

Introducing my latest creation, a build that combines power, efficiency, and aesthetics to cater to both my professional and personal computing needs. At the heart of this machine is the mighty Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core CPU, coupled with NVIDIA RTX A4000 workstation GPU, 64GB of 3200MHz RAM, all nestled mostly* inside the sleek and compact Fractal Terra Mini case. Why I Built It: As a manufacturing engineer, I work extensively with software and require a system that can effortlessly manage complex modeling in SolidWorks and render Unreal Engine graphics. Simultaneously, as a lifelong gaming enthusiast, I wanted a rig capable of delivering unparalleled gaming experiences. From my daily work routines to unwinding with the latest AAA titles, this build fits the bill. This rig has transformed my workflow, enabling faster render times, smoother gaming experiences, and overall improved efficiency. Professional Work: In my profession, time and precision are of the essence. Whether it's modeling intricate designs in SolidWorks or handling software integral to manufacturing engineering, the synergy of Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX A4000 makes my work more efficient and enjoyable. Gaming: As a gamer, I wanted a system that can conquer the latest AAA titles and provide immersive gameplay. With the powerful combination of Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX A4000, I've been playing games like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and NFS Heat at ultra-high settings without breaking a sweat. Modeling and Graphics: For my professional pursuits, this build shines in applications like SolidWorks, where precision and performance are paramount. Unreal Engine graphics projects come to life like never before, rendering in real-time and allowing me to explore my creativity in new dimensions. Future Upgrades & Hindsight: In the future, I might explore adding expanded storage capacity to accommodate larger projects. Overall, I am ecstatic with the result. Conclusion: This build is more than just a computer; it's a reflection of my professional life as a manufacturing engineer and my love for gaming and technology. It's a hub for creativity, relaxation, and connection, playing a central role in my daily life. I welcome fellow engineers, gamers, and enthusiasts to share their thoughts, insights, or simply join in the conversation. Let's connect and continue to innovate!

It started off as a low end computer because I didn't have much money to be able to afford what I desired. And the only reason I was able to afford those PC parts was because I decided to sell some of my electronics. Those electronics include, a Nintendo Switch with all of its games and a few other things I can't remember. And after I save up enough money and bought all my parts from Amazon, only because I didn't know about Micro Center at that time. I know it sucks, and I feel bad for myself for not knowing about it. And that was the worst time for me to start building a computer since it was 2021, when the prices were too high. So my first parts were a Ryzen 3 3200g CPU, an AsRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Viper rgb 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram, Crucial P2 500GB ssd, Aresgame 450W power supply, and a cheap MSI case. I didn't buy a GPU until 5 months later when I was able to afford one. That was when I found out about Micro Center, so I bought an AMD Radeon RX 6600 MSI MECH 2X GPU for around $460. From there on I started to slowly upgrade my PC. I changed my ram sticks to Crucial RGB 2x8 16GB 3600Mhz. I bought an AIO from cooler master, which lasted me all those months until just recently I upgraded it because my new CPU needed better cooling. Next I upgraded almost everything with the money I saved up from one of the jobs I worked at. I bought a new case, Motherboard, CPU, and new fans. The case was a Fractal design Meshify C, the Motherboard was an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, and the CPU was a Ryzen 5 5600g. I was finally able to play more demanding games, which is good because I love playing Campaign open world games like Far cry and Cyberpunk; and multiplayer games like Call Of Duty. And I was not done, I still wanted better gaming quality and performance. I then decided to go big or go home; Once again I saved up money from work and bought an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, but I wasn't pleased. So I saved up a little more and bought a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming 10Gb GPU for the low price of $770 US. And i'm not even joking, that price at Micro Center beat every other retailer, so I was very happy. Also another reason why I was able to afford all the upgrades was because I sold all my old parts to friends or other people, and I would help them put the computer together if they needed it. Then I changed my Ram again to some G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 4x8 32Gb 3200Mhz CL16 because why not. And so this year I made my last PC upgrades until I feel the need to change it up. I received an email from Micro Center of a CPU & Motherboard combo deal for an Intel platform, and I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU so that was my chance to which I took. And that was what caused me to change my AIO to a 360 mm for much better cooling. I also forgot to mention a few other parts I added and changed, which were a new case and more SSD storage. I will have all my recent parts listed, so there is no need for me to list them here. Lastly, the name Rem comes from a female from one of my favorite anime, at first sight she isn't so great but over time she becomes a lovable person just like my PC. And her hair is blue which is my favorite color. Finally, all of this happened because I was bored of playing games on console and I wanted to become better since I wasn't making anymore progress on controller. And I was inspired by Linus Tech Tips to build my own rig. I learned almost everything from his YouTube channel. I want to thank you Micro Center for all the amazing deals and for reading my rant of my long journey that lead me here.
