Snagged a Zotac 4090 off of Amazon for 1699 right before they disappeared from everywhere. 140mm fans look great! (too bad they don't have a 420mm Gallahad). And no... I didn't leave the NVME in that slot. I did test with it in that Gen5 slot vs the other M2 slot with the 4 lanes direct to the CPU (so not making the GPU run in 8x PCIE lanes). There was zero performance difference (actually it gets slightly faster 3dmark scores with the PCIE gen 5 M2 slot occupied (within margin of error though). Also.. not sure where the AsRock Nova Wifi went on their website (it's still there if you search, but not on the list of MBs). It is an awesome board so far, both in performance and looks.$5,825.81 -

Post-build, I added a few fans and the internal LCD resource monitor. I also reworked the motherboard and GPU power cabling with Corsair's Premium Individually Sleeved Type-5 PSU Cables for a cleaner look. Microcenter was great to work with and delivered a quality product. In hindsight, I would have given more though about RGB. I think it looks great but takes time to setup and maintain.$4,532.87 -

After graduating from school and getting a real job, I knew I needed to get the best gaming setup I could buy to reward myself. I haven't paid too much attention to the PC market since my senior year in high school. The last time I built a PC, I went with a Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080 setup, so you know how out of touch I am now. But I know 4090 GPU is a must for my build. As for the CPU, the i9 seemed too excessive for gaming purposes, so I went with the i7 13700k. I am glad both worked well together in my build.$3,298.93 -

I build this system so I could stream and game at the same time, rather than run two pc's at once. I usually stream a selection of games and whatever is currently popular I will make content on. I upgraded to a msi suprim liquid x 4090 and i9 13900k. The pc is rocking a msi edge wifi z690 mobo , 32 gigs ddr4 corsair vengeance pro ram , msi 1000 watt psu, artic freezer II 420 mm rgb aio and 2 sets of lian li fans. When I got the 420 mm aio I didn't account for the thickness and how big it is. So as you can tell the case had to be cut and modified a little, since I spent all of my budget on the cpu , aio and gpu. Overall it looks amazing, this pc has come a long way! I will eventually have to upgrade my chair from a bad 100 dollar "gaming chair" to a more comfortable one.$3,207.91 -

I built it for vr - heavily modded skyrim vr specifically, but also vr chat. And also for ai - open source llms and stable diffusion. For things i would have done different, I didnt have the money for a really really good cpu at the time and i opted for a ddr4 board to save money - the 12700k is great but turns out its the limiting factor in my skyrim vr modlist (~500 mods). Overclocking the cpu and ram and tightening timings on the ram helped a lot but it still kind of chokes sometimes. I may upgrade to a 13900ks or a 7800x3d, and add a custom loop. Also i wish i got a asus 4090. The zotac doesnt give you the full 130% power limit and i dont want to flash a different vbios.$3,172.91 -

Built this rig to play my many games at high frame rates while maintaining stellar graphics. I aimed for the 2K resolution as it was the best of both worlds in terms of high refresh rate and still having good-looking graphics. Mainly though, I play games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, Wreckfest, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. For MP games I tend to keep RTX off for the added bump in frames, but for any coop/SP games, I crank everything to 11 and enjoy the beauty. The LG OLED monitor was a perfect choice for me as it provided the refresh rate I wanted while having an incredibly stunning color range and depth of black. Pair that with the 13700K and RTX 4090, and the games not only play super smooth but look incredible while doing so. All this sit on top of the Secretlab Magnus metal desk as I needed something right around this length while having prime cable management and this checked off all the boxes I needed while looking sleek. All in all, everything worked out right the first time, and luckily I planned everything out well enough to where I did not need to reconsider choices. One thing I will change/add in the future is adding my LG 34" UW back into the mix and probably put that on top, just for some extra real estate.$5,869.79 -

I wanted to build a future proof pc for few years. I love it! It's pretty smooth and fast!! I played few games - 4k and HDR on all the time - frames were pretty awesome! Depends on what games. Unbelievable high fps. I look forward for unreal engine 5 games come out soon! Can't wait to see how much it can do!$4,512.84 -

I built this computer to replace my 5 year old gaming rig to celebrate by 50th birthday. I use it mostly for gaming and daily networking, but I do use some software that takes full use of the 128GBs of RAM. I purchased a power supply and case designed around future expansion, but I have no plans to upgrade anything at this time.$6,375.69
