Recently, my old system with an Intel i7-4790k and a GTX 1070ti broke down. I tried for 2 days but could not get it to boot pass window start up loading screen. It's because of that and how outdated it is of a system, I decided to upgrade to a new system. I mostly just doing some lite web browsing as well as doing spreadsheet and video calling. I used to game but since my PC couldn't keep up with the new games as well as life gotten busier I stopped gaming. However, with this new machine of a beast. Every game that I tested now can do well above 100fps with games that goes to the 200fps. So hopefully I can dive back into gaming soon. I went with and Ryzen 7 5800x and ROG Strix B550 motherboard as well as an Radeon RX 7800 XT with the NZXT H6 Flow housing. I know this doesn't have much of an upgrade ability beside from going to the 5800x3d and possibly better GPU however because I want an all-white esthetic and AM4 is the cheapest to go for it.$1,499.92 -

Created a budget build for a relative in the family who asked for one to be built. Selected these few components and turned out looking pretty decent after completion of the build. Gathered older used parts as they did not need the latest components for what they needed.$627.95 -

I built this pc over time carefully selecting parts to use temporarily in my atx case until I could buy an SFF one. I joined a fantastic and helpful discord community who helped me along the way. I love how it's going so far! Planning on an new Ncase. Maybe the Streacom F1 or to be announced Mach 3. I still have a 970, but looking to upgrade very soon. The 13700k is a beast. I apologize for the rough photo shot, I am very close to the build of my dreams!$1,137.92 -

Since then, I've upgraded the CPU to a 3600 and the GPU to an RTX 3060 Ti. Much of the reason why I call this the "Overkill" is because I really don't play very demanding games, usually only esports titles with an occasional demanding title like PUBG.$1,021.90 -

I put it together to be a gaming PC and maybe use it for CAD work in the future. Everything in the build went very well. And I can't believe how much better my games are now. The temperatures are good and everything seems to run fine. My only hiccup was that the USB-C on the front I/O requires an adapter to connect to this motherboard. Not a huge deal but if I had known, I probably would have spent a bit more money on a fully compatible motherboard. Overall I'm super happy with how everything turned out. I did add a few extra parts not listed. Including the Corsair Commander Core XT, Corsair Lighting Node Pro, Asiahorse Power Cords, a QIVNSRY M.2 heatsink, and the internal header adapter for the USB-C.$1,547.91 -

There were multiple reasons why I went forward with building this when I did – one of them being for remote working purposes as I am a Graphic Designer full-time for a company in New York City. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t have streaming and playing video games on the list of reasons why also! Part of me wishes I went with the EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Ultra GPU rather than my 2080 Super but I’m not complaining. I know I’ll eventually upgrade to a dual SLI at one point or another but with that, I’ll probably need a bigger computer case and a higher wattage power supply. Also going to get another M.2 SSD for my motherboard since two are compatible. I stream a variety of games Part-Time on Facebook and love interacting with new gamers in the chat!$3,231.85
