My consulting business requires some power and my laptop was aging far too rapidly. I also downloaded Baldurs Gate 3 and when it kept crashing that was the final straw, I decided to build my own showcase instead of just building them for other people. With a budget of only $800 I built the most powerful build I could and it takes everything i've thrown at it and then some. I'd like to upgrade the processor as soon as possible and potentially take advantage of DDR5 rather than the current DDR4$892.92 -

I built this gaming PC with a mix of new and recycled parts for my GF to play PC games with. This is her first real gaming PC, that she will being using to play her beloved MMO games. She has been very happy with the performance so far, but I think I will upgrade the CPU for her to an i5-13600k next year to give her an even better experience.$1,666.95 -

I think it turned out very well, and with a few tweaks to the GPU settings, I can hit over 100 fps on all current games (Minecraft, Fortnite, Battlefield, etc.) at 1080p medium graphics settings. I like to run a few cad sims and code just for fun. I don't really do any computationally demanding tasks, so the parts I have are significant for my current needs. I plan on upgrading sometime in the near future (around Q3 2023) to something like a 3070 ti/ 4070 or a 6800 xt so I can run games at 1440p.$939.91 -

First, I was in the process of shopping for expanded storage for my current-gen xbox console. This was really frustrating because the proprietary format expansion cards the console must use are really expensive, especially compared to how prices have really fallen for pc storage devices (both sata and m.2 pci-e drives). The second instance that really sparked this build was seeing a RTX 3060 Ti graphics card at a really good price at Microcenter. With those two factors combined, I was ready to drop by plans of buying expensive console storage and just make my own DIY console.$1,129.91 -

The reason I built this computer is because I wanted my brother needed one, and I wanted to make sure the components were as efficient as possible in order for the computer to last multiple years without upgrades. I used a B660m max mortar with a 12400 to BCLK overclock the cpu to a stable, but way better cpu. The 4070 is one of the best value buys for the 40 series, and should last a long time. Lastly, the ram is CL18 3600mhz; kinda slow, but it’ll get the job done. The game he mostly plays is League of Legends, which this build is way overkill for, but if he decides he wants to play more intense games, this build be able to handle anything at 1440p.$1,320.83 -

I originally had an inexpensive HP desktop but it was not powerful enough for what I needed so I decided to build a PC from scratch to fit my needs. Over the past year and a half I've slowly been upgrading it with newer parts and this is currently the final iteration (for now at least). I needed a PC powerful enough to handle Photoshop, After Effects, 3D modeling, 3D printing and light gaming without any performance issues. I also wanted to make sure it was a clean aesthetic and nothing too flashy. GPU might be upgraded soon as prices drop, and as much as I love the case I may upgrade it to a mesh front for better airflow in the future.$1,559.98
