This time around I decided to go AMD instead of my usual Intel/Nvidia build. The pc is used to play @1440p 165hz and I’d say paired up with a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx, it can easily achieve that.

New gaming rig ment to be able to handle high-ultra settings for games such as Elden Ring, Apex Legends, and Skull and Bones. This setup is ment to create fast boot and load times, currently taking 5-7 seconds to boot into the windows desktop from off state. i9 14 gen to stay last for a long period of time before needing to upgrade. This includes the cpu liquid cooler. DDR5 RAM 5600Mhz for the newest generation that will last a long period of time, and my last past the next cpu upgrade. RTX 4070 Super to handle the majority of games at max settings at 1440p resolution. Currently no stutter or lag experience. GPU using the new power pin connection with the power supply. Future plan consists of 1-2 year from now, which includes doubling up on same RAM capacity and moving from rtx 4070 Super to 5070 Super. My last rig must had gotten damaged pins on the mobo. Either way it motivated and scared me into not only getting another rig but making one with thermals as the top priority. Now I wish I had more money at the time for a beefier mobo when I had bought this but the combo is beautiful. Works better than expected. I call this build babyboy because building it woke me up even more. It was the the last push to my evolution as a dweeb. My goals become easier to follow. Building motivated me into building more. To not feel like going in my pc is daunting. It took a depressed and nearly checked out of life veteran and turned him into the kid that didn't worry about the worst life has to throw at them. Sorry anyway. Baby boy has made me dig deeper into my studying as I want to make my own Aio for a pc and even delve into engineering because I love the void that creation brings. It robs me of negative focus and gives me back passion. My PC's were always powerful and the trend continues. I am getting familiar with 3d software, mainly unreal. Working on a hard scifi novel that I might just pass to my friend to make into a video game. He loved the idea he will be graduating for programming soon. My gift to him is going to be a high powered machine. For all of his programing needs a rig on par or better than anything i can own. The things I love for the people I love. Babyboy Harkens me back to a time where I was a dorky a** black kid growing up in harlem getting bullied for "acting white" 😪 , up into my time in the infantry and even beyond where constantly get targeted for the same thing by more so the opposite of my childhood bully types. (Sorry for being vague). As you can maybe tell I think way too much. I spend alot of time in chatrooms not because I like them anymore. It's because I can generate heat better than Dominick Mysterio when I'm online. I have a Army of people who hate me on the internet and it's honestly how I get better now n days. I constantly have people discouraging me, trying to drag me down, dehumanize me, feels like the military but with folks I can't punch in the face. That oddly enough has been my source of fuel. People telling. Me I'm worthless and can't. LOL For me it's the best fuel ever. Over the course of two years my aptitude for math, science, has skyrocketed, I have built a reputation in some of the most toxic circles you can find online as a guy you should hate for no good reason at all. I love it. Computers have alot to do with this. This was what I thought about while doing my build. You get where I'm going? This experience was therapeutic for me and eye opening into who I am as a human. Babyboy helped freed a chained man. In a sense by giving me even more confidence to tackle things. For a build that was suppose to replace my i9 9900k rig. It did more than that. It set up another stage of metamorphosis. The recluse in me let's a bit too much out at times : [ sorry. As for the build. It was meant for general use. But if you seen my setup you would maybe understand i use it for much more, such as development. C++ and python coding, btw my first ever code written was program that identified your compiler written in c++, my second was a gpt 2 based learning model (in python)that same night. Now I didnt have AI help me with the second code, but still I was pretty happy with myself. I would like to animate and make a game with my best friend from those times of me getting bullied as a kid. A rpg game based in hard science. Something that gives off "three body problem" vibes. I also need to learn how to design prototypes. Like maybe some thing for the cooler I want to make. For example. 32 gb of ram even at ddr5 i feel limited in unreal engine. So I will go for possibly 128 gb over time. So a 64gb kit is in my future, then another. Next month I'm getting a 4 tb m.2 for Unreal engine alone and another for productivity needs. I have a 4 tb system now. As far as what I could have done differently. I should have gotten the h9 elite case as it has rgb fans and a controller. But pretty much the same exact case I have. I'm gonna also repair my old mobo if possible and if I can do it right, my nephew who is studying computer science but using a idohan spud will have a power relic of the 9th gen coming his way. I loved what this build did for me. It was more than just a pc build. It was as much a window or veiwport into myself, just as this summary of the build experience was. Sorry for taking that so far. I don't know how to not go 100% at times. Sorry for any typos and such. Big hands, small phone, you know the deal. I'll try to edit if possible. THANKS 😊

I was an Nvidia stan for the longest time, but the price/performance of the 40 series is awful right now so I jumped ship for the first time, and I couldn't be happier! I originally went for the 7900 xt, but Microcenter bumped up to the 7900 xtx for FREE because of a stock issue. 750$ for the best card radeon makes will be a core memory for life. Not to mention the 399$ 7700x cpu/mobo/ram bundle. GPU, CPU, Mobo, RAM, SSD, Case, & an AIO All in all for around 1600$ (the price of a 4090 XD). Now I can spend the saving on a custom keyboard and a more expensive monitor.

I needed something newer to cut down on video editing time and perform better in design tasks. The old system was also heavily CPU bound in games and struggled to get respectable framerates even with settings turned down. I enjoy all types of games, but I definitely needed something that can handle Starfield, Cities Skylines 2, MS Flight Sim and more. I definitely need a GPU upgrade, but I'll deal with that when they actually hit a price worth paying.

I've been using cheap pre-builts since my last build and finally decided to treat myself again. I wanted to be able to dabble in 3D rendering and get back into gaming. This build should do the trick. The build went fairly smoothly. I only had to uninstall and redo the AIO once, since I wasn't able to get it to reach the CPU the first way I had it installed. It's possible I just had it wrong, but by that point I just wanted it done. :) As for the parts, the power supply may be a bit overkill. I wasn't sure which one to pick so while discussing it with the sales person they suggested this one. Since it will most likely outlast the other parts and wasn't that much more than one of the other options I had selected before heading to the store, I went with the suggested power supply. So far I'm happy with it. My simple "beginner" renders that took an hour or more on my last PC now take a minute or two... and games run smoothly. Temps stay cool, and it's not too loud under normal use. The GPU fans do make some noise under load, but not too bad. I haven't changed anything from the stock settings so far.

This build is specifically designed for 1440p High FPS on High to Max settings. I decided that Ray-Tracing was a feature I didn't really care for or notice even when it was on. I didn't want to break the bank either. I started with absolutely nothing not even a mouse and keyboard. So that will skew the price a little higher. But if you're already equipped and just going for a new PC build this one is great! Without the monitor but including Windows license and the usb to update the bios you're looking at about $1550.00. NOTE - The motherboard, processor, and first 16GB of ram was in a bundle. The graphics card was on sale for 649 and included a 50 dollar discount when purchased with any processor. Your price may vary depending on the bundles available along with any sales going on. Honestly this may not be the highest end equipment, but spending any more will result in diminishing returns. You could get an RTX 4080 or whatever but unless your going for ray tracing we're talking about getting 10 to 20 more frames more than the 140 to 170 for AAA games for 270 to 290 for e-sports games at high/max settings than your already getting. It's just not worth it in my eyes. This, in my eyes, is just the perfect build.
