I've been piecing this build together a bit at a time for the last six months. I mainly kept an eye out for components that would be a significant upgrade over my 11900K / 3070 Ti desktop build. Shoutout to the employees at my local microcenter who take time to hunt down the random clearance items I order. Everything but the AIO cooler and the ssd storage devices were bought at microcenter. Currently on the 13700k, I have all P cores overclocked to 5.8 with all E cores at 4.4 with vcore set to 1.35 and medium LLC. My ddr5 is modestly overclocked from 6000 to 6400 for the time being. I need to re-learn how to overclock ram because a lot of bios settings have become more complex since ddr3-ddr4 days. From what I understand, Hynix A die modules should be able to overclock significantly higher frequencies - I just need to learn how to pull that off.$1,624.25 -

This was my very first gaming computer I ever had, assembled from leftover components and an old case from a prebuilt computer. Starting with the classics like Minecraft and CSGO, to more intensive games like Fortnite (i know, real intensive) and BeamNG.drive. It was with this device that I survived quarantine and managed to grow closer to my friends over discord. I'm submitting this form to help pay for my first solo PC build, which will replace this six-year old machine. I'm proud of what it's been capable of, and I'm hopeful someone will find the same joy in it once I pass it on.$479.93 -

After spending weeks coming up with a list of PC components, waiting anxiously for them to go on sale, and getting them delivered to your door, it’s time. You’ve got a phillips head screwdriver in hand, and you’re ready to go. For the purposes of my home PC building guide, I’ve used the following low end parts as an example of how to build a complete computer. These components are also exactly what you need to construct an modest – if a little last generation – Budget Home PC.$600.92 -

Went with Micro ATX form factor and single color RGB fans for simplicity. AMD processor with AMD graphic card is a plus. Sticked to standard 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe and didn't go crazy with specs. No case mod cables as well but still looks good with neat cable management.$845.95 -

Sometimes my BF likes to play CS GO 2 and Fortnite. I like the compact size of the case and the only mirror issue is noticeable noise from GPU fans when playing games. Most of the parts were purchased from Micro Center, GPU, CPU, and SSD a year ago. Case and PSU last month.$761.95 -

This project was based around deal hunting during Black Friday week in November 2023. My target for performance was midrange gaming but I also wanted to be somewhat future-proof. Because more and more games are starting to require a bloated amount of VRAM to run well, I thought it was best to get a video card with more than 8gb. So that narrowed things down to the 12gb 6700xt that was a solid price on black friday at microcenter.$989.93 -

Played on a gaming laptop until it broke, so I decided to build my own computer for school and game. Was originally going to get a 5600X3D bundle to save money. I figured that I should just spend a bit more money for the 7700x to have AM5 instead of AM4 for future proofing.$889.94 -

After years of looking at people posting their builds on Reddit and here I finally decided to attempt a build myself. At the time I built this Microcenter was having a sale (bundle on CPU, MOBO, and RAM) so thought why not. My budget was 1500 and the bundle helped me save about 300. I mostly play MMORPGs, so that's what this build is used for (Archeage, D4, etc). I was planning to build this closer to the release of Ashes of Creation but that deal kinda sealed it for me.$1,482.90 -

It is used daily for everything, including three monitors. Two of these are used for gaming: One 34" ultrawide monitor that runs 3440x1440 at 100hz, and then alternately a 55" TCL 55R646 tv than I use for a console like experience (wireless controller, steam big picture mode) at 4k,120hz. I primarily play RPG / JRPG, action, adventure games. Up next for me is to play the recently updated current-gen version of The Witcher III at 120fps. The name of this build was drawn from the predominantly graphite & silver scheme on many of the components. I just rolled with this color scheme after finding multiple clearance deals at Microcenter that I considered too good to pass up. The graphics card, motherboard, ddr5 ram, and most of the ssd storage were all taken from Microcenter clearance. The biggest problem I ran into was also directly related to this. Specifically, the clearance / open box RTX 3090 Ti ended up being a bare card only and was missing the required 3-pronged power adapter that plugs directly into the card. Thankfully, I was able to contact MSI and I can recommend their customer support. Since the card was still unregistered and under warranty, MSI sent me the power cable I needed at no further cost to me.$1,775.77 -

I wanted to build a great 1440p gaming build but didn't want to break the bank by getting a 3070 and both AMD CPUs and GPUs have really good deals right now. I have a 5600X and a 6700 XT. This build lets me play Modern Warfare II at over 120FPS with high settings with FidelityFX CAS at 80%. Using FSR would increase it. I also get 90-100 FPS on Fortnite with high graphics and Lumen/Nianite set to the first option.$1,125.92
