Post-build, I added a few fans and the internal LCD resource monitor. I also reworked the motherboard and GPU power cabling with Corsair's Premium Individually Sleeved Type-5 PSU Cables for a cleaner look. Microcenter was great to work with and delivered a quality product. In hindsight, I would have given more though about RGB. I think it looks great but takes time to setup and maintain.$4,532.87 -

This is my gaming battle station and my happiness when I come home also I have a AIO in my setup I love the aesthetic of that.it’s weird and dirty and it makes the build stand out because it’s not often you see a cpu and gpu AIO combo I spent hours setting up this bad boy down to the last screw.also I find myself getting very lost and distracted in my pc beauty and the amazing RGB effects and my 2 screens that keep me entertained with cool gifs and System information.hope I can share my experience with you amazing pc builders out there.$4,459.91 -

This is my first time dealing with a water cooled gpu and overlooked the case so you will have to have the vertical mount from Lian Li if you plan to run this gpu in the o11d evo case if you don't want the glass pushing against the tubes. The glass panel will shut but I don't like putting stress on the tubes. The pc will easily play Cyberpunk (without rtx overdrive), hogwarts legacy, and Horizon 5 at 100+ fps on max settings with Ray tracing on a 3440x1440p monitor. The GPU overclocks pretty easily and scored very high on 3d mark port royal. I have added a picture of the best overclock setup I could figure out so far but I am still pretty new to overclocking.(just watch JayzTwoCents' review of the card as he is way better than me at that) The case is very easy to cable manage and has a removable hdd bay that sits right above the power supply. However, if you plan on using the hdd bay I would not recommend the Corsair shift power supplies as it gives you very little room to access the cables. The vertical gpu mount does take a couple weeks to arrive from amazon so if you want the build completed all at once I would order that in advance. Once the gpu mount arrives I plan on getting the final 3 intake fans installed and will then be completed.$4,254.87 -

The name of my system is Challenger because when I started my build back in 2013 it was a challenge to build. Eventually it was challenger to build it better and faster. The performance got better and better every generation. The purpose of my build is for gaming, photo editing, Video editing, light graphic design, web design, and some crypto mining when I'm not using it for watching movies. As you can tell my system has always been put to the test, that is why I have a 1000 watt PSU and 32gb or RAM to make sure I can support anything I throw at it. Before this new model I had a an intel i9-990K and that did great until this 12th gen of CPU's. The 3080ti really comes alive when it comes to games like Red Dead II and Far Cry 6. I didn't my best could get better but it did when I up graded my system to the 12th Gen CPU. All of this performance is viewed by my Alienware 34" Ultra wide 4k Monitor at 120hz. I was truly amazed when I was playing Far Cry 6 at an average of 110fps at 4k when I first played it on this system. I haven't edited any video yet but the moment I get a product I know it will go by in a flash. The Corsair 4000D case was a tight fit for this rig but it really made a complex system look super clean and simple. I was never really into RGB fans but since everything had RGB I had to buy them and now I'm a fan. lol I'm used to full PC cases but now there is no such thing as a full size case any more since they cover the bottom end with a PSU cover. So if you are like me and had an old full size case with no PSU cover, keep it if you ever want to add a second card for any reason. The Corsair 4000D fits a full size ATX motherboard but that last PCIE slot is going to be just for show. Nothing more than one card fits ion this mid size tower and that also goes for the full size frame as well. This the first time time that I have bought an Asus ROG Maximus Hero motherboard and this board is nothing but high class. You truly get what you pay for in this board. The only thing you'll be sorry about is the price but once you open the box and see all the cool features it comes with you'll be excited to plug it in. The board comes with so many features it would take too long for me to list them but I will say that there is a button that helps you release your GPU from the board which is super helpful. The board also support about 4 NVME SSD's, Two on the board and two on an addition PCIE attachment that comes with the board. This board also has a pretty interesting display that is not that bright but very cool to look at. The board also has plenty of slots for those of you that like to build custom water cooled rigs. I personally use a Corsair AIO cooler H100I Elite Capellix and it does just fine. Mixed with 3 RGB 120mm Fans in the front and 2 120 fans on the cooler and 1 to the rear of the case. So there is RGB all over this Challenger. The only place that doesn't have RGB is my Gigabyte 3080ti and my Corsair RAM. This leads me to remind everyone that if you are upgrading to the 12th Gen CPU's you can't use DDR4 RAM you need DDR 5. I had to learn that the hard way and they aren't cheap right now, so to save some money I purchased the Corsair 32GB 5200mhz RAM kit without RGB at around $300. Anything at that size with RGB will cost you an arm and a leg right now.$4,025.93 -

This build was made just as a side project, this is lower end than my actual gaming PC. This is designed to be a nice center piece and basically just runs Plex and is displaying to my LG C2 TV up on my wall, just a nice to have to relax in bed and watch shows. The custom loop is cooled by 6 noctua cromax NH-12 Fans on 360mm corsair rads. Paired with the ASUS Z690 Formula the whole system is liquid cooled (except the SSD and RAM, please dont ;D). I was thinking about putting in the RGB corsair Triangles but realized it would probably be more distracting, plus the blackout idea with black chromax fans and exposed rads hiding the fans creates a minimal look.$3,689.74 -

Now not only do I have a desktop, I have a small space heater*! Overclocking (underclocking) and fine grained timing/voltage control has been incredibly fun! Even if stability testing is incredibly boring. *Undervolting the CPU along with reducing max PPT and reducing GPU power draw while increasing clock and memory speeds has been incredibly helpful in this! As noted below, GPU will comfortably hold slightly above 3GHZ clock! Totally bent a few fins while installing the CPU cooler (only slightly and very easy to straighten back out lol). The build is meant to be a workstation and gaming machine! I'm a huge fan of real-time ray tracing, so was naturally really excited about what the 4090 can do and have yet to be disappointed! Once the fan curves were optimized the machine runs near silent and only picks up a little bit under load! This may not seem like much, but coming from a laptop that would hit 40+ db under load, its so peaceful! Pricing note: I got deals on a bunch of the items! (tax not included)$3,615.91 -

After graduating from school and getting a real job, I knew I needed to get the best gaming setup I could buy to reward myself. Doesn't have a lot of space in the back, so I just gave up on cable management and shoved everything underneath as much as I could. Y40 is a high quality case but over price. An upgrade from my 2010 build, this computer is primarily meant to last another 10 years with Photoshop, web browsing, video-watching, and the occasional video game playing on it. I wanted a solid foundation with the latest Intel processor, DDR5 RAM, SSDs for system and primary storage, and 8TB HDDs in RAID 1 for backup of years of art files and the likes. The GPU is fairly underwhelming, all things considered with this build, but GPU isn't my primary concern and it's also about the easiest thing to swap out when I need to upgrade it. Since I'm not doing water-cooling, I went with a well-ventilated case a Noctua CPU air cooler, and added Noctua's budget fans to the front (using the case's included two fans for a rear and top ventilation.) I also am going with a stealth build... everything is all-black (except the Noctua budget fans... which I may swap or paint later), and I've turned off all lighting (except for the power light.) I do have a slight buzzing from the glass panel of the case that I need to remedy at some point though. I also mis-read the mouse packaging and thought it was a wireless-charging mouse. Instead, it's a standard AA battery. The Keyboard is nice, except that the D key illumination LED is already miscolored days after initial use, and it doesn't keep its key-lighting setting after power-cycles (FN+F12)$3,205.68 -

My build started as an upgrade to a 7 year old computer, It had a 5th gen i7-5820 processor on an Asus X-99 chipset motherboard, running 32 Gb DDR4 ram, multiple forms of storage from a 1 Tb Samsung NVME drive, to 3 SSD and 2 HDD totaling close to 10 Tb. Corsair 100 AIO for cooling, and an Asus GTX 1080 graphics card. I first tried just upgrading the graphics card, wondering how much of a bottleneck my processor would be, To my surprise it worked really well upgrading to an Asus Tuff 4070Ti. Then I noticed microcenter had a sale on a new 13th Gen i7, with 32Gigs of DDR5 and a Z790 Asus motherboard. Since I had just been blessed with a financial gift, I went ahead and tried the combo. Wow is all could say, what a night and day difference I noticed running my main sims (MSFS2020 & DCS) as well as with my editing software Lightroom classic and Filmora 12. At this point I thought to myself, after 7 years with my last build it was time to trust the Lord with the finances and finish off the build to my liking. That included the beautifully built and designed NZXT H9 Flow case with Lian Li SL fans and the Lian Li 360 AIO as well as a new MSI Pcie5 ready 850 watt power supply. I also wanted a faster gen 4 M.2 so I added the Samsung 2TB 980 NVME drive with a new key for windows 11. As an avid photographer for my immediate & church family as well as my long time love of flight sims, this new computer is a very appreciated gift from my Lord Jesus Christ. And I am grateful and humbled for the doors he had to open to make it my reality.$2,755.92 -

Main purpose for the PC is just general use and mostly gaming at 1440p which has been a nice upgrade from 1080p in the past. Went with AM5 since it'd offer a larger upgrade path than an Intel alternative. Nothing else special out the PC other than that.$2,709.91 -

I used to just buy pre-built PCs before and ever since my previous one died, I've decided to have a go. Was surprised how relatively easy it was. Granted, however, that I've invested quite some hours into youtube and reddit studying the topic lol. Happy how it turned out, the next step will be to buy a vertical GPU mount and to wait until my NZXT hub arrives, so I can connect the Streamer Lian Li cables. The fan config is 4 exhaust (1 rear, 3 top) and 6 intake reverse blade fans (3 side, 3 bottom).$2,675.28 -

With inspirations taken from the Corsair Vengeance pre-built PC lineup, I decided to not take any compromises on hardware parts. The games I had in mind when building this PC were Microsoft Flight Simulator and Forza Horizon 5. Both of these games ran flawlessly, easily exceeding over 144 FPS in ultra settings in 1440p. I intend to keep this PC for the long run as I will keep upgrading it throughout it's lifetime. Some parts I do plan on upgrading when I want to switch over to high-end 4K gaming in the future are faster RAM and GPU. The build process was easy and I didn't run into any difficulties as this is my first PC build ever. Overall, this PC has exceeded my expectations when it comes to gaming from FPS, simulations, to racing games.$2,598.88
